I'm a little belated on this review but I give this movie an A+ and I suggest that you go see it right away.
This is the funniest and most accurate depiction onf Spiderman I've ever seen. The classic Peter Parker charecter was hilarious. At first I didnt' consider going to see this movie. Isn't the Super Hero movie category crowded enough? Yet, the reviews were stunning. Every aspect of this movie was entertaining and hilarious. The artistic style of the animation was mind blowing and that alone would have entertained me. The story, however, was even better., prior to Spide I found the ending scene that was reminiscent of Black Panther with the maincharecter of this movie, Miles, a Spiderman from a different dimension.. Archetypes Spiderman taps into the archetype of the Spider that weaves the universe. There is a paticular scene of the interwoven Spiderverse that particularly callled this archetype. In Dogonmyth the Spiders name is Nana and in Native American lore it's Spider Woman. There are some powerful archetypes. Add in the Hadron collider and spiritual people that awakened should sit up and pay attention. Spiderman even says that it might open a black hole. Conspiracy therosits should be having a field day with this one. Sunflower The above music video has a song inspired by Spiderman Into The Spiderverse and it's called Sunflower. I will always associate Sunflowers with Francesca Simeon and the Sun card in the tarot. The Sun Card just happens to be 19...and we are in the 19th year of the 2000's. So, another synchroncity. Sunflowers always turn towards the Sun. That's the reason there are Sunflowers in the Sun Key Card. I covered this card in our 7 key cards of the Path of the Seeker. I'll attach that video below this blog. Conclusion I particularly liked the, "Hey I thought I was the only one!" part of this movie. I kind of feel that way when I find someone who is as deeply interestedin Spiritual and Metaphysical teachings or literature. I've only encounter a very small handful of people who really read and apply what they learn. Every time I feel a lot less alone! I think, for most of us, until the internet we felt very much alone. Molly Mccord not too long ago mentioned that fact. Truly spiritual people who want to apply the teachings in their daily life are so rare it's not likely to meet another one by random chance. Again, a suprisingly deep story line, beautiful eye popping animation and jus wholesome fun.

We have reached our final Hebrew Letter Meditation on the 7 Ascending Sephiroth of the Kabbalah Tree of Life! Out of all of the Sephiroth Chesed has probably been the most simple...and the mos obvious concept.
The Hebrew Letters that make up the name of the Sephiroth of Chesed are: Cheth, Samech and Daleth Let's see what story they tell... Cheth This Hebrew letter is dramatically attached to the concept of health. First, it begins the Hebrew letter for life (chai) and also begins the Hebrew word for vitality (Chayat). Cheth also starts the Hebrew word for Dream (chalom) which Hoffman explains to represent divine inspiration and knowledge. Cheth also starts the word for Wisdom, Chockma (also the name of the second Sephiroth that sits at the top of the Pillar of Mercy). At the same time, Cheth begins the word for sickness (choli), profane or empty (chol) and the first letter for Sin (chet) which really means, "missing the mark." Samech Samech is a closed round letter that Abravenel associates with the glow of a candles flame. This candle flame both supports and protects helping us to trust the Divine. Begins the word Hebrew word Sephiroth that are the levels of the Kabbalah Tree of Life. The Hebrew word for ladder also starts with Samech and it is a symbol for the mystical inward path first described by Jacob with his vision of Angels. The Hebrew word for stories also starts with Samech. Samech also starts the Hebrew word for Symbol (Siman) that can help us better understand the Divine. The Hebrew word Schachar, Black, starts with the letter Samech and is a metaphor for darkness. The Hebrew word Shacar, Dawn, is a metaphor for light and redemption. Daleth Both of my sources related Dalet with the four 'worlds' of the Kabbalah...but essentially think of it as Idea, Blueprints, Create and Result. Each of the Sephiroth fall within these four "worlds". Most importantly and what the letter really resembles is the word Door (delet). Dalet also begins the Hebrew word for Poor. Abravenel explains, "Experiencing poverty teaches us gratitude....The only true and sustainable wealth worth pursuing is our spirituality." Finally, Dalet also begins the word for pulse (dofek). Abravanel explains that the Kabbalah masters can discern both physical and spiritual pathologies from the pulse. This is because the 10 types of pulse come from the Sephiroth Chockmah and by knowing these patterns associated with that Sephiroth they can determine the energy from which the pulse is coming from. Summary For sickness or health (Cheth) a dawn ladder (Samech) or door (Dalth). Visual Combination Cheth always looks like a door way to me...then we have Samech that looks like the door itself...and Daleth that looks like an open door. Conclusion Where Geburah is related to the division of the discernment....when we come to Chesed it appears to be more of method of connection. Here we find both knowledge when we are ascending where there was originally sin and emptiness when we descended (Samech). We also find redemption when we are ascending where there once as darkness (Samech). Finally, we have the exit of Samsara with Daleth when we are ascending...but this is the door we entered through when we descended. Once this door is open again we can resume our relationship with the One Creator. I wanted to share something I read in Dion Fortune's book, "The Mystical Qabbalah."
There is ample evidence that Yeshua was a Kabbalist. He was a member of the Essenes (as Edgar Cacye first suggested although evidence did not show up until later that this group actually existed) that were absolutely eradicated by Rome. The most fascinating evidence of this is the Lord's Prayer: Matthew: 6:9 -13 “Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy Kingdom come, They Will be done, On Earth as it is in heaven, Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who tresspass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen Applying The Kabbalah The Kingdom refers to Malkuth. Malkuth represents the Earth. This our neighborhood and it is what fell when Adam Kadmon decided to use his will power for his own selfish puproses...defying God. Yet, this was not a terrible thing as I explained in Humanity's Purpose (see side bar of the blog for the link). Check out the YouTube video I ceated for Malkuth to understand the story even deeper. Power is The Sephiroth Netzach This is the realm of teh 7 Rays of Life that Alice A. Bailey wrote about. These are the 'forces' or 'powers' that work to create our neighborhood of creation. Often they are personified as pantheon of gods. Check out the Book Reveiw for the 7 Rays of Life and the YouTube video I created covering the Sephiroth Netzach. (I will eventually cover each Ray in a YouTube series but that will be in 2019). Glory refers to the Sephiroth of Hod This is the Sephiroth of the Eloheim...or the multitudes that are the product of the 7 Rays. The Angels, in other words, belong to this level of the Sephiroth Tree of Life and they are the 'brick layers' that are responsible for carrying out the plans of the 7 Rays. Father Refers To Chokmah I haven't really covered this Sephiroth. This is cut off from the lower 7 Sephiroth of the Kabbalah Tree of LIfe because of the 'fall.' Until the correction of those Sephiroth occur Chockma is, essentially, a mystery. Eventually we will cover the concepts behind this Sephiroth in it's own YouTube videos but that won't occur for some time. Conclusion I just wanted to share this with you. There isn't much else I can say. I have come to the conclusion in my studies that Yeshua and the Essenes were more than likely deeply into the Kabbalah. That's one of the reasons that even after Rome converted they tried to wipe out the people who practiced Kabbalah...and they erased any text that was contrary to what they taught about the bible because it was counter productive to their agenda of pacifying the population.
As you listen to the sound meditation concentrate on the Hebrew letter.
When the sound meditation ends get out your journal and write down any thoughts, impressions or ideas that came into your mind no matter how odd.
Since I goofed up my itenary for my blog and videos by missing last weekend I decided to improvise and pull a card for the energy of 2019.
I don't think that the reading for 2019 could have been better. All of the cards corresponded so well with the theme I've seen come up in my life that I was blown away. The essence of the three cards that I pulled represented stagnation. All of them suggested as well that stagnation would lead to results that would not be that fun...mostly Dark Night Of The Souls. Those who aren't listening to the melody of life, then, might have a tough year. Learning To Dance With The Melody Of Life The natural order of our world has seasons. Humanity has managed to work around the seasons. We've adapted our lives to where the seasons have very little effect on our lives. We ship in fruit and vegetables from outside of the US if it's not the right season for them. That way everything is always available. We have indoor air and heat allowing us to stay at a comfortable temperature with easee despite the weather outside. Rain or shine employers expect their employees to make it to work. If customers can get there the employees are supposed to be there. We have electric lights so it's easier then ever to stay up all night. There are a lot of jobs that have graveyard shifts (I worked a few of them) where you stay up all night and sleep all day. That wasn't a possibility before electricity. Is there any surprise there has been a rise in insomnia thanks to people be able to stay up all night watching television or on the internet in a fully lit room? I noticed that my daughter has the natural rhythem of the daylight. She falls asleep when it becomes dark outside and wakes when the sun rises fully. The desire to sleep when it's dark is a natural rhythem that humanity has completely bypassed. All of this causes people to loose the natural rhythm of nature. Learning To Dance I know it's a bit tough to learn to let go and just enjoy the dance. The rhythm of life is outside of our control, and rightly so, as humanity tends to goof up what they try to control. As I said, it is the lesson I'll probably struggle with next year. I'm used to a set schedule and rigid structure to my days that do not change. With my daughter, and the fact that I plan to become pregnant at the end of next year and will probably be on bed rest...it is going to be quite the spontaneous dance. Spontaneity is not my strong suit. From what I've learned the dance is all about living in the moment without expectations. We simply receive and work with the energy of whatever it is that we receive. Most of the time, things I thought would not be a positive end up being really awesome and I experience more fun moments. For example, I tend to set goals for the next day. Waking up without a plan is tough for me plus I feel good when I achieve those goals. However, I've had to let go of having to meet those goals every day. If I get them done, hooray for me, but if I don't...well, it's not the end of the world. I've found by letting go of wanting to control my day better things come up. For example, my only goal for today was to mail off my DNA sample to Helix.com, edit this YouTube video and vacuum. I used to have a lot more goals in a day but discovered that was unrealistic with a baby. Well, I did vacuum the main living area. I also dropped off the DNA sample and wound up doing a spontaneous trip to Home Depot. The video will not be finished today (Saturday the 29th). I ended up doing tummy time with my daughter (she is 4 months and she likes tummy time) and husband. That was a beautiful fun spontaneous moment. If I'd been slavishly devoted to my goals I wouldn't have had that experience. If I hadn't gone for the spontaneous shopping trip I wouldn't have the bin I wanted for some Christmas decorations. Getting it today was unexpected but will be better in the long run when I take down the Christmas tree this week. That flexibility to adapt to what is happening in real time and choosing the option that holds the greatest excitement at the moment...is dancing with life. I run into walls and blocks when I hold onto expectations or try to control my experience. When I pursue the end result of a goal at the cost of all else...that's when I hit a wall. The issue is that when I try to controlmy experience I limit the possibilities. When I let go and live in the moment a variety of options and rare unique opportunities I could not anticipate arise. There are so many precious rare moments with my Little One I would have missed if I was focused on tasks instead of living spontaneously moment to moment with a loose set of goals. For me, that seems to be how to "Dance with life." I may be wrong. I'm not entirely sure. I am also learning to relax. I'm so used to holding a difficult and very full schedule it's hard for me not to feel like I need to get a million things done in a short period of time. Re-reading and summarizing Dancing the Dream by Jamie Sam's and Dancing With The Medicene Wheel by Sun Bear will undoubtedly change my perspective on the subject. I originally read both books in 2014- 4 years ago. I'm sure my insights will be different this time around. I'm excited about having new experiences in 2019! Come what may I know I can handle it. The three R's that seem to be my focus for this year are rest, relax and receive. I'm still learning how to be in that receptive mode instead of the active mode. Further Synchroncities I posted the YouTube video on the last day of 2018 on YouTube but since then discovered a few synchroncities that tie into the energy that this is the year to learn how to dance. Take, for example, the 2019 Pasadena Rose Parade was "The Melody of Life," so I put the video for that below.
Big Endings
A carry over from my 2019 Movie Theme is that this year is the end of big endings. The second Infinity War movie is going to come out and that might be the end of the Avengers movies. The final Star Wars movie for Rey's story- Episode 9 (numerlologically represents completion). The end of Game of Thrones. Although, not a movie it's significant. I'm sure there are others but those are the big endings this year. The Astrological Ending I'm not an astrologist so I'm going to copy and paste what Molly Mccord, my favorite astrologist, wrote in the description box for this video: "Cycles close and cycles begin when two outer planets meet up together at the exact point in the sky. This slow moving conjunction betwen Pluto and Saturn last occured 37 years ago in Libra, and a new cycle will begin in January 2020 as they connect in Capricorn. Yet, the changes are powerful, deep, and permanent, signaling completion and desruction for institutions, governments, political parties, corporations, and authoritive bodies that have served their purpose and must be restructured. Ready or not."
The Year Of The Boar
To continue with the endings theme as well this Year- in the Japanese Zodiac- is the Year of the Boar sometimes referred to as the year of the pig. The Boar is the 12th and final sign in the Chinese Zodiac. So, here again, we see the close of a cycle. Each Boar is assigned an element and this year is the Earth Boar. In a funny coincidence Colette Baron-Reid did a reading for the year ahead using her Spirit Animal oracle card set and for the Foundation Card she pulled the boar. You can check that out below.
When you put all of this together it becomes very clear.
For the majority of humanity this will be a year of endings. I faced that last year. This year, for me, is more like the Fermentation stage of Alchemy. Not much might happen on the surface but I'm planting seeds for my new 7 Year cycle. That 7 year cycle I hope to focus on having beautiful experiences with my beloved family. Watching my daughter Michelle grow up and sharing with her all of the things I love is what I desire most. The same goes for her sibling who will hopefully join us in 2020. Interestingly enough, in a recent energy broadcase Lee mentioned that humanity has come to an end of a 7 year cycle in 2019 that started in that infamous year of 2012. I've attached the message below. The primary reason that I wanted to buy this book was to explore the eight fold path.
This book is an excellent resource for anyone interested in Buddhisim. This book covers every aspect of Budhism in detail and it gives you practical ways to relate to the material. This is not someone who hides in a monastary as a recluse...he goes out into the world but he's also experienced the retreats. For any Western Mind (aside from Pema Chodron) I highly recommend this book. I've read a lot of books on Buddhism but most of them focus on a particular theme. They my briefly mention parts of the eight fold path or they might list them very quickly...almost like a side note. In this book, however, Lama Surya Das goes into detail about each of the Eight Intentions with a chapter dedicated to each. The book starts off with a biography of Lama Surya Das. He was born in Long Island United States with the name Jeffry Miller. He was born Jewish. During the 1960's his friends at Berkley were killed during an anti-war protest. Strangely, one of the other students that was killed also had the same name. The tragedy of losing his friends and having all of his family think he died sparked a Spiritual Awakening. He found his way to Europe and eventually from there he wound up in India with a Tibetan Buddhist Monk who was willing to teach him Buddhisim. He was instrumental in bringing Buddhisim to the United States. He helped Buddhist monks gain citizenship and set up temples throughout the United States. The Biography was interesting but that wasn't the purpose of buying the book. At first I thought that I had made a mistake buying this book. However, after the first 100 pages or so he started talking about Buddhist topics and the book was meaningful. I have 59 markers in this book that's 395 pages long. I did find a lot of meaningful concepts in Awakening The Buddha Within. There were some things I don't agree with as far as current political and cultural persepectives. There is the usual emphasis on the need to recycle as though somehow people who recycle is spiritually superior...when in fact most of the stuff in our recycle bins end up going to landfills anyways because there isn't a market for recycling...but we'll give him the benefit of the doubt since he wrote the book int he late '90's. Not only does he cover the 8 fold path but he also covers other conecpts. One of those concepts is the Three Poisons. The first is Ignorance of Truth. The seocnd is Attachment. Third is Aversion. He also covers the Four Noble Truths: First is Life is difficult. Second is Life is difficult because of attachment, because we crave satifaction in ways that are inherently dissatisfying. The Third is the possibility of liberation from difficulties exists for everyone. The Fourth is the way to realise this liberation and enligthenment is by leading a compassionate life of virtues, wisdom and meditation. WIth that in mind here are a few quotes I enjoyed: "Enlightenment- whether you call it spiritual awakening, liberation, illumination, or satori- means profound inner transformation and self-realization. In fact, there are different degrees and depths of enlightenment experience, stretching from an initial momementary glimpse of reality all the way to the fullest actualization of Buddhahood, the furthest form of entlightenment. Having said that, I think it's important to understand that spiritual rebirth in Buddhisim is not a mystical encounter with God. Enlightenment is not about becoming divine. Instead, it's about becoming more fully human. In examining the archetypal experience of the Buddha, we that his enlightenment represents direct realization of nature of reality- how things are and how things work. Enlightenment is the end of ignorance. When we talk about walkingi the path of enlightened living. The Zen master Dogen said, "To be enlightened is to be one with all things." pg 14 "Waking up your inner Buddha and staying awake requires extraordinary self-knowledge and presence of mind. It means paying close attention to how you think and how you act,and it means making an ongoing commitment to searching inward for answers- Inward. Deeper. Beneath the surface of things, not just inside yourself. As Westerners, this isn't how we have been conditioned to think. We keep looking outside fo ranswers. We look for lovers, friends, parents, authorities, and even children to answer needs that they can't possibly fulfill." pg 19 "We're ofsten told, "Don't just stand there, do something!" And we do...we believe we can resolve our unhappiness by changing locales. Then when our problems refuse to go away, we complain that we're stuck and look for ways to get moving." pg 20 "Self-transformation implies self-transcendence. Therefore inner transformation is a spiritual affair of cosmic signifance, including all, animate and inanimate, everywhere. Authentic self-transformation is defeintely not for oneself alone. It is for all beings- for waren't we all insepreably interconnected? Whatever befalls us, befalls one and all; harm a single strand of the web of life, and the entire web is harmed. In Africa, the Xhosa tribe has a saying which is worth remembering; "I am because we are." pg 48 "The Buddha never said he would save you; in Buddhisim, you save yourself. Taking refuge in the Buddha is making a firm commitment to know the truth, to know how things really are. ...Total awareness, pure wakefullness, is the Buddha within, the innate purity of your own hear-mind. That natural authenticity is the ultiamte refuge." pg 58 Conclusion Already this book review is very long. I learned a lot from this book...not what I expected but I did learn a lot. Aside some of the naieve things he says because it was the nineties...there is a lot of good. |
