Alight, so I kind of wrote a clickbait headline for this blog.
I prefer calling God the One Creaetor. I find that title to be the best because it means all creator God's every depicted are the One Creator by a different name. This is an inclusive approach instead of an Exclusive approach saying there is only one way to approach spirituality. I've explained why I chooe to approach my spirituality this way instead of choosing one religion over another. For me, it's just more inspiring to believe that they are all talking abou the same One Creator from different perspectives. Either way...no matter what job you do you can serve the One Creator. The Weird Competition I just want to take a moment to comment on the weird competition we have in the United States when it comes to the jobs we do. Often times, when I reveal that I have a Masters in Business administration while working as a barista people reply, "What are you doing here?" They are almost offended to find a highly edcuated person in what they consider a menial job. Well, I have my purposes but just because I'm educated doesn't mean I can only work certain jobs. If what I'm doing works for me...why does that suggest I'm not working to the fullest of my ability to contribute what I can? To me, these blogs and my YouTube videos have more value and can contribute far more then any job currently held important by society. Also, by being a barista I can be an example of what true happiness looks likes to hundreds of people a month and that wouldn't be an option in a job where I don't interact with many people. We value CEO's and Presidents and Managers more then we do the people we interact with everyday to get what we want. I think this is very sad. I can tell you for a fact the average Customer Service repreasentive- be they a manager or just an average worker- has a job that's just as difficult as the CEO...if not more so because they are usually peforming it with less resources and far less money or benefits. I really pray this focus on equating the value of the individual with their job title ends in the United States. Not only is it nonsense but it's illogical to think that everyone should be upper management. Serving God By Serving Others As the Bhagvad-gita states we are all fragments of the One Creator. We are all One with the One Creator. The One Creator is the fire and we are the individual tongues of flame...we are our own beings but we are still part of that Oversoul. We are simply taught the Illusion of Seperation. That's why why when Jesus says that the highest law is to, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind. The second is to love your neighbor as you love yourself." Mark 12:30-31 Your neighbor and yourself are a part of that Oversoul/Dinvine Peresonality that is God. That's why these two commandments are the greatest of them all. This is also why you have to get right with yourself before you attempt to love someone else and obey these commands. How can you love God with all your heart, soul and mind if you can't love yourself? The same goes with your neighbor, how can you love your neighbor as yourself if you hate or disown part of yourself? Humanity likes to split ourselves into teams and war with each other...but we are all One. To simplify envisioning this concept think of each person as a cell within a material body of the One Creator. In our physical body, the heart cells do what they need to do to make the heart beat, our lung cells do what they need to do to make our lungs process oxygen, the cells in our veins do what they need to do to transport the different nutrients to the different parts of the body that need them...each cell supports and serves the whole. In this way, every cell in our body works together to make one complete and harmonious unity of work that is our body. If those cells decide to rebel, such in the case of Cancer, the entire system eventually fails and we die. When we realize that we are One with the One Creator we have a priceless opportunity. We realize that every other person we meet is also a fragment of the One Creator. They are the One Creator, in every sense of the word, and our job should be to find harmony with that other person as best we can. They may be in a state of disharmony within themselves but that doesn't mean that we can't find a way to work with them in harmony. A Body In Disharmony When you look at humanity you see a lot of disharmony. You see people fighting over religion, race and territory. I doubt anyone who could look at humanity and say that we act as One. Too many are out for their own agenda. Please note, I'm not talking about Group Think where everyone thinks and acts the same exact way. We can't all be heart cells or all be lung cells...there are hundreds of different functions that cells perform in our bodies and they are all equally important. Each person, just like the cells in our body, serves a person and has a unique set of skills to serve the whole. If the bladder cells were to go on strike because they feel they are less important and don't like their job the entire body would die. Again, as I said, when we look at it that way it's analagous to a body that has Cancer. With a few bad cells the entire system is distrupted, those cells affect all of the cells around them and eventually that leads to death. Many believe that, as a race, we stand on the brink of extinction. Realisitcally, we've stood on the brink of extinction since the creation of the Nuclear Bomb. People today are more worried about climate change then the Nuclear bomb but this precarious position started with the World Wars. As Jesus states, "And if a house is divided against itself, it cannot stand." Mark 3:25 This goes with humanity, the government, companies and within the human body/psyche. That's where we are right now. We have elements that are in such disharmony they would like to annhilate the rest of us to create uniformity. They think that turning everyone into the same sort of cell will benefit humanity but it's a genetic dead end. By Serving One Person You Serve The Whole I shared my practice that I admit is a bit difficult. Yet, at the same timeit's so easy to apply in your life. Every time you meet a person you see the divine within them. Imagine that they are Jesus or Krsna, Buddha or Muhammad. Look at them and see, no matter how mean or rude or hateful they are to you, see them as that person you've always imagined as the ultimate teacher/divine figure. Know that at this time they are suffering and that being is sleeping. They just haven't awakened to the fact that's their true nature. Then treat them as you would treat that figure. Would you resent Jesus for asking you to put a little extra love, add a little detail into doing your job, or to make something a little bit more complicated? When you go somewhere and you are being served you do the same thing. If Jesus/Buddha/Krsna/Muhammad were behind the counter at McDonalds would you treat him like crap because he was a menial worker? Would you dehumanize him saying that he is not of value because he's a fast food worker? Would you treat them as though they were idiots? Each and every person that you meet you have an opportunity to serve. Whether you are serving them directly as in a server at a restaurant, a propierter of a store, a manager serving his employees, a sales person serving his customers, or a CEO serving both his employees and his customers...each person you encounter you have the opportunity to serve. You don't need to give them messages from the Spiritual world. All you have to do is show them love, compassion and treat them as the highly venerated individual that they are. The Story Okay, to get this you might need the story. The story goes that the One Creator was lonely. So, the One Creator created a companion. In the Bible this is Adam. Then Adam became lonely. The One Creator put Adam to sleep. Then he created Eve as a companion...and eventually all of us came into existence. We are within Adam's dream...we are fragments of the Divine Personality of Adam. Sometimes, it's called Krsna or simply God Consciousness. You know that pesky question, "If God exists why does evil exist?" Well, we create the dream. We created the dream. The One Creator did not and is not a part of it. Adam is essentially neutral, as Krsna states in the Bhagavad-Gita the Divine Personality knows that it's all these little sparks and doesn't hold any of them in higher esteem the others. As Edgar Cacye says we were created to be the Companions of the Divine Personality and The One Creator. Bashar, channeled by Daryl Anka, uses the metaphor of the mirror. The Divine Personality is looking intio the mirror... at an image of himself. That mirror is broken and each of us are the shards. Does this start to make sense? Do you see how insane it is not to treat your fellow beings with love and compassion? Can you start to see the insanity of selfishness? Conclusion When you realize what you are the idea of fighting others becomes sheer insanity. The desire for selfishness also becomes sheer insanity. Serving the self only in a dog eat dog world is also insanity because that's not truly the world we live in. In A Course of Miracles, in fact, the Divine Personality states that most of the people in this world are Insane. They all come from a state of insanity where they think this false reality- the illusion within the mirror- is real...and try to dominate everything else in the mirror. They've been given time and space from the One Creator to heal this problem. Once you realize how the system works you realize the only sane option is to serve all of humanity. You can serve all of humanity in whatever job you may be doing. You do not have to change or save the world on your own. Each person approaching their job from this place of a desire to serve the whole will find peace. That, in turn, will transform this world. You can do this in any job or mode of life. If you are a stay at home mom you are serving your husband and children. If you are a manager you are serving your employees and your customers. If you are in customer service you are serving your customers, your co-workers and your managers. All of it is serving the Divine Personality. This creates harmony and love within. You do not need to change anyone outside of you...you just have to change your perspective. Then you can serve the whole of humanity. Maybe you won't be viewed as the Messiah but we are each the messiah within our own minds. We can deliver ourselves from selfishness to pure love.
