Communication and relationships is the big theme of this New Moon but the energy is really wonky. (If you can't tell, when I originally wrote most of this blog- the intention blog being from this actually moment- I couldn't find the Lovers Card!).
This month may feel off just a little. Working on this blog in advance things just went a little sideways. Plus, there is the Medicene Card for Lynx, a repeat from April 1st, that's in reverse and yikes! Yet, of all the cycles I find this one the most sacred as this one has continued to stand out as I analyze and re-analyze the data. This month the Divine Feminine's attention was gained by the joke made by the Divine Masculine on the May 30th/April 1st new Moon and they are working in tandem this month to create something new that will emerge in the coming months. The Astrology (2022 Addition- Aquarius is the sign of Christ Consciousness. As Athena from Sage Goddess describes in her Aquarius zodiac sign video they, "Love humanity but hate people." Given that we are going into the Aquarius Age and that Jesus identified himself with that sign the designation of that sign as Christ Consciousenss- or Unity Consciousness it makes sense to describe this sign and the age that we are going into this way. Further, I had the epiphany while meditating on Christ Consciousness that this state of being we do not find Unity in Groups, tribes, nationalities or races....but true Unity only arises within the Divine- The Divine Monad- or the Oneness that is not directly present in physical material realty. Therefore, the Oneness described in Christ Consciousness/Unity Consciousness is not formed on Earth but formed in 'heaven' or the 'spritual realm' by marrying our will to that of the One Creator and working to benefit all of Creation- not just Humanity, not just Earth, not just our Race or City...but our every action driven by benefitting the All. By working with Astrology- and to some degree other divinitory practices- we can align ourselves with the Will of God.) When it comes to the elements this is one of the most balanced charts I've seen for awhile. There is some tension in this chart but it's nothing major. So, the chart isn't intimidating but the energy is wonky so let's break it down... The Two Malefics, Pluto and Saturn, are retrograde this month so their energy is less. Taurus and Aries are hosting most of the action this month. The Sun and Moon are alone in Gemini. Now, of course, this New Moon may bring back some of that North Node in Gemini Energy from the last couple of years so don't be surprised if that stuff pops up again. Otherwise this is a great sign of harmony in relationships and communication. Mars, in conjunction with Jupiterin Aries, is Sextiling the Sun and Moon giving them a super charged boost of Willpower during their alone time. Saturn in Aquarius is square Mercury in Taurus. Father time is not happy we are focused on materlisim this month. Neptune in Pisces on the other hand is very happy with this development (not surprising). Pluto in Capricorn is squaring Venus in Taurus. Again, we have this tension towards returning to a materialistic (Taurus) mindset. The North Node, in midst a Stellum in Taurus, is conjunct Uranus and Mercury while squaring Mars and Jupiter in Aries. Apparently, the next phase lies in the disruption Uranus is causing on the Earth Plane and not so much this thrust of new energy. Chiron is sitting this one out but Lilith is Sextiling Venus in Taurus (she has always been a bit indulgent) and squaring Mars conjunct Jupiter in Aries. Hebrew Letter : Zayn This is the Hebrew letter for time and memory. Zayn starts the words for remembrance and 'to remember. According to Lotterhand (TNT) this is a Sword. In the Tarot the Sword is Saturn which cuts off unnecessary attachments. Tarot Card: The Lovers Key 6 This is the union of the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine...the union of the conscious and subconscious. The angel is giving a blessing of integration. This card suggests that polarity is actually a good thing. The tension of polarities is what creates the tree of life. Communication can't happen without polarity becaus there would be nothing to say. Medicine Card: Lynx 18 (Reversed) Well, this is still 9 completion energy but Jamie Sam's entry for this one is hilarious. Literally she says to shut your mouth and stop blabbing, "Execute power over your tongue." Unlike the Mystery of the Card upright this card suggests there is too much talking going on- how very Gemini! Tools For Air I chose Black Cherry Incense because I want to help clear some of this weird energy. For the candle I chose to use White which I associate with New Starts. For Water I chose a Pumpkin Spice essenital oil mix that I find irresistable and very earthy. Grid I really debated about this Grid. While it looks like a great time to do a New Moon Money/Abundance Grid...with Saturn's disapproval that might not turn out well. There are times, and energies, that we don't want to use to manifest because what they will manifest is not going tobe pretty. So, not knowing what to do exactly I intuitively chose the stones that felt the most attractive...and interestingly they ended up being pairs of the same stone but different colors...absolutely brilliant. Clear Quartz Generator: I'm using this one for simple amplification and directing energy. Blue Calcite: This throat Chakra stone is all about wise communication. This stone helps us to choose our words carefully. Green Calcite: This heart Chakra stone helps smooth transition. With this stone we can remain grounded and centered in our heart in midst of change. Yellow Fluorite: This Solar Plexus stone is all about being a student and being open to learning. As a cluster it is particularly helpful when working in groups. Green Fluorite: This Herat Chakra stone is also about being a student. As a natural sacred cube shape it reflects the energy of Creation. Clear Quartz Points: For amplification and directing the energy outward. New Moon Intention We are in that confusing transition phase where the New Moon occurs at the end of the month. Like last month the New Moon is straddling the last day of the month- meaning in some parts of the world it will arrive on the first but for the biggest portion it will be on the 30th. When the Moon Cycle is not synchronized with the Sun Cycle things get a bit confusing. This is only going to last about a year. I, personally, find it a bit disorienting. The Path is a Spiral and we always return to where we have been to be tested by Spirit. I think most of us are horrified about the two shootings by 18 year olds that happened within 10 days. Further, 10 years ago when Jupiter went into Aries was the Sandy Hook Massacre. I think that this month is one to sit in contemplation what society can do to really change things (not the empty talk about gun laws). is it becaue we are making these people household names that when an 18 year old with major issues decides he's going to hurt someone he decides to go to an elementry school or buys into the Culture War nonsense kills people of another race? The media played a major role in both of these tragedies. These kids will be famous. Ten years from now there will be documentaries about every aspect of their lives trying to explain what happened...otherwise no one would ever care. Since it's Gemini Season and we have Mercury dancing out of Taurus and into Mercury this month, along with Lynx Reversed, there is going to be a lot of talk and not action. Predictably, there will be a lot of talk about gun control and probably this new bill (so much like the Patriot Act) targeting 'domestic terrosists.' Both fail to ring true with people who are spending more then ever at the gas pump with the national average being around $6 (which was Al Gore's goal to push people into buying electric vehicles, nevermind that we don't have the infastructure to support electric vehicles, and Biden as openly said, "Hopefully we will come out of this more energy independent.") Biden will probably be one of the most hated presidents of all time as people don't buy into his 'Putin's Fault' blame game for his horrible agenda of making everyone misreable. I agree with Ashley Elenbas and Russel Brand that if people had the Divine in their life as a refuge less of this would happen. The Athiest Scientist delcartion that God is Dead and the demonization of people who believe in God, especially in the college system, or follow a religious path has been the most poisonous for our country. The most poisonous concepts have emerged from the sociology departments of colleges. We've been thrust into a very gray area where we are trying to establish new values as a society...and that's going to be chaotic (and yes this is pre-destined as evidenced by Uranus in Taurus...just as food shortages and inflation are pre-destined by that same transit...but we could have been wise and prepared so that it wasn't so dramatic...yet, Biden is pouring more fuel on the fire hoping to influence and create the end result). Here is Ashley's Video: https://youtu.be/1U2BlLA04m0 Here is Russel Brands: https://youtu.be/uFNYDVYxAuU I stumbled across Jodran Peterson's video on Pinnochio and I recommend it because it does illuminate the Pisces transits that we had earlier this year (with Neptune and Jupiter in Pisces). As Acuyta Bhava Das has said- we've been baptized in Water and now we are being baptized in Fire. Here is the Jordan Peterson Video: https://youtu.be/vGQS4N0cYWQ The Collective looms large this month with the Gemini Oracle Stone-Chiastolite- and the June Oracles Stone- Fossilized Coral- speaking to the Collective. The Christ Consciousness, where we acknowledge that we are One while also retaining our personal individuality (as Edgar Cacye so eloquently put it- Know Thyself as Yourself and Yet One With The Creator). I think the emphasis there is that it is through and within the Creator-the Divine- that we are one...not through human tribes, races, nationalities, or groups. We find our Oneness in how we I digress, this month, I've decided to take an electronic fast where I don't use the phone for anything but taking pictures, phone calls and texts. I will probably pop up here for the Full Moon Meditation. With this Aquarius Moon Cycle, all of this Gemini energy, the heightened Collective Energy, Uranus on the North Node in Taurus, Venus entering Taurus so that we are even more focused on the Material Reality (and some peoples mental illness will increase as their desire to seek comfort and escape through materialisim is thwarted by the energy), and the baptisim by Fire energy of Jupiter and Mars in Aries...it is a tenderbox of energy just waiting to explode. Our Next Lunar Cycle will have more momentum then this month...but holy moly the Animal Card I drew was Grouse and that always means poop hits the fan. This is a profound year of deep purging and the deeper mystery of God's Will in action. Much as we may not like it...God willed that we are shown this ugliness of the human United States citizen condition with these mass shootings within ten days by 18 year olds. The United States, a Cancerian Country, is one that's all about the children and the children of this generation is proving to be deeply disturbed. We need to put aside the tribalisim and Culture War so we can start creating solutions...because, right now, our values as a nation are clearly out of alignment with the Christ Consciousness. This movie had so much potential.
The acting was spot on, the script was good, and you can tell they had a big budget. This really good have been a movie like the Mummy that ends up being something I pop up for fun prety regularly. That's the vibe this movie really had. I just did't like the directing. There were edits that really muffled Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt's performances. I was really impressed by Dwayne Johnson because at one point Blunt's chareceter (I don't even remember the name of the charecters which is sad) says that there are no Spanish Soldiers running around and he has an expression on his face that made it clear there were. At the end fo the day, this not a movie I will watch again because the edits and directing took me right out of the experience. I can't say that it has any Collective level implications either. This is pretty much a throw away movie which is sad because it really should be good. Is it better then Eddie Murphey's Haunted Mansion (by the way the Muppets Haunted Mansion on Disney Plus is amazing), yes. Is it as good as Pirates of the Carribean? No, but it should have been. Ah, the fool card. I love this card. This description of the card by Lotterhand is my favorite, "Our inner self about to engage in another adventure." (Pg. 1-15).
Case and Waite The Card depicts an androgynous being- it could be male or female- standing on the lip of a pointed cliff. There is a small Maltese dog (Case gives the detail of the breed) behind the Fool prancing, he wears a very specific combination of clothes with many symbols on it, a green and yellow wreath on his head, a red feather, a yellow sky, peaks behind him, a white sun behind him, a staff with a knapsack on one shoulder and a white rose in the other. I'm treating these two deck crestors as the originals and the source of the Tarot. I'm aware there were sets before them and they did their own thing with them. At the very least they are the authority on the most popular and accepted form of the Tarot. They both literally instructed the artists on the details to be included on the decks. I don't think it's very easy (and it's very expensive) to get my hands on the older Tarot cards and I would have to study them in detail to see how they compare. One day, perhaps, I will manage to do that (probably reprinted in a book) but for now this is what I have to work with. Waite says another name for the card is "Jester" and it is important to think of the role of the Jester in a Kings Court. The Jester was an extension of the King, mocking people of the court for him (because the King Could not) and making sure the King didn't take himself too seriously. The Jester is often depicted as lacking intelligence, a mad man or a simpleton. Yet, in truth, he had to be the most cunning in order to mock the court and King without ending up in the stocks. Case lists 21 different symbols in his Tarot card (and Waite's card that is identical except his depicts the 'handbag' on the Staff differently). There are small symbolic details. Ten stitches on the handbag represent the types of perception in occult practice, on the left shoulder of the figure is a gold eight pointed star and silver crescent-the silver and gold of Alchemy- or the Hebrew Letter Shin, a symbol for the Holy Spirit/Eyn Sof in a circle at the bottom right of the figures shirt (pg 29-36). Even the yellow sky is symbolic of the element of Air. Waite hints that small details are important by referencing the clasp and the image on the sack on the end of the staff. Also, important for the entire series of Minor Arcana associated with the "wands" is that the staff represents "the Will." (Case pg 29-36). Waite explains, "Many symbols of the instituted Mysteries are summarized in this card..." pg 76. Waite also explains that, the reason he places it in his deck, before the world card because they are equivalent. That alone can be a wonderful meditation because the Fool is the inner self at the start of our human journey and the World Card is the mastery of physical material reality...which is, in reality, ourselves. Case gives the Hebrew Letter, Shin, to the World Card and as I said, that Hebrew Letter is in this card as a symbol in a circle on the bottom of the Fools Shirt. Zero itself is a symbol for this card. Zero, represents, "the no-thing- the limitless."pg 31. In essence, this card represents on the macrocosmic level what Thomas Campbell calls, "The Absolute Unbounded Oneness." The Light Seer Tarot In this card we see a woman (definity not androgynous). She has dark hair, she wears a yellow dress, she is tipping over the edge of a cliff with a purple crystal generator in her out stretched hand and the staff in the other. Below her is the sacred Geometry of the Seed of Life. Here are the pieces from Cassie Ann's Guidebook that really shows the essence of how she approaches this card: "The journey of the soul begins with a single step and you may find yourself on the edge of an epic journey," and, "Trust your intuition as you swan dive into the seed of potential." (Pg 19) The purple generator, my first thought was Amethyst, is a curious choice over a rose. Generators direct energy and Amethyst is a detoxifying mineral. Purple, at the very least represents royalty but it has taken on a general spiritual meaning. Unlike the Fool of Waite and Case this Fool, who stops to smell the roses, this Fool seems determined and to be very conscious of the direction of the action they are taking. The purple Generator and the Staff could be summed up as Directed Willpower- which is very different from Waite and Case's Fool. The red beads on the necklace does represent passion (as does the red in Waite's card) so that is good and there are three so perhaps she is hinting at the conscious, subconsious and superconscious (all symbolized in Waite and Case's cards). The yellow dress, clearly, connects to the element of air. After medtating on the strange whirlpool like depiction of the Seed of Life below the cliff I do like the idea. Whether you see this card as the soul incarnating into physical material reality or the inspiriation of a new idea it does work. I love sacred geometry and choosing to show what lies below the cliff the Fool stands upon is a fascinating choice. The Good Tarot Collette Baron Reid's Tarot is very different from the others. The figure is of a Faery with golden hair emerging from space blowing a french horn, surrounded by vegetation, before an ephemeral archway, a golden crown of vegetation and 2 dragonflies. Dragonflies represent change, transformation, adaptability and self-realization. Collette uses Enthusiasm as a synonym and these two phrases stood out to me. "I can take a risk and trust that with faith, anything is possible!" and "This is a time when I am learning that I am a spiritual being having a human experience." Pg 2 Originally, I was stumped when looking at the symbolisim of the art of this card. There are some similarities to Waite and Case's Fool Card. Like Chris Ann's Fool there is not as much symbolisim. The first thing I noted with the yellow hair, yellow clothes and what seems to be skin of the fairy. That connects with the Yellow pants of Waite's Fool representing Air (light yellow represents air according to Case). Instead of a black decorated garmet representing ignorance with a white garmet representing purity beneath... the fairy is wearing an ill fitting white garmet. If we apply the previous reasoning you might say that the white garmet is purity because of ignorance or naiveté. That it doesn't fit neatly hints at ignorance. The barely visible archway does represent a new beginning. Doors do represent the ending of one thing and the start of a new experience even if we are only going into another room in our own home. Coming from the Darkness of space could represent ignorance too or Source itself. She seems to emerge from vegetation representing that kingdom (symbolized by the wreath in Waite's) The wreath of what looks like wheat could be seen this way but it represents a different phase of life (typically, the Harvest is seen as the Mid-Age) but the animal kingdom is not represented (the feather in Waites). The French Horn could represent the animal kingdom as it descends from the Hunting Horn. The Horn was used by Hunters to signal the start, end and many other elements of the Hunt. There is a very untamed and wild energy about this card that I like. Case's and Waite's cards hint at that a little but this image really captures it. Knock Off Brand This is the Waite symbolisim on the card. I mostly bought it for the classic images (but I did get the holographic one because I didn't want to be completely boring). I really wanted this for the Guidebook to see the superstitious meanings for the cards and it doesn't disappoint. The Guidebook calls this card "folly" and refers to the meaning being, overall, pretty bad. There were mostly a list of synonyms and none were positive. The meaning, according to this source, is so far removed from what Waite says as one can get and I think that's where merely using these as a tool or toy to tell the future doesn't do them justice. I understand the process, I've had some really neat experiences with Tarot Readers (I have never done a Tarot reading myself and won't until this exploraition is done so...seven years from now maybe I'll lay out a spread! I always attracted Oracle decks into my expereince and never the Tarot). Common Symbols All four cards share the color yellow. The Soul, or Eyn Sof, is best represented by the element of Air symbolized by the yellow color. This is in alignment with some indigenous tradition of the Medicene Wheel. This, in many ways, connects to the Absolute Unbounded Oneness and the idea that all of life is made up of Consciousness. Lotterhand explains that The Fool precedes and is in between all of the other cards (again, Waite places this card, even though the number is 0, before The World card). The Staff (traditionally called a Wand in the Tarot) is in three of the cards. The Wand, representative of Air, is Will. Some say that the act of Creation itself was pure Will and that the act of souls incarnating on Earth was through sheer Will. Edgar Cacye describes souls as "pushing" themselves in to physical material reality to explore it when they first came across this part of Creation. The cliff is in three of the cards and it is an interesting symbol that is not discussed by Paul Foster Case. However, if you've gone on a hike and stood is such a place you know that it gives you perspective. All of us have a perspective and while the Fool doesn't have the birds eye view of the Eagle depicted on his pack because it is skewed ...he does have a higher perspective then the Scorpion (the other symbol for Scorpio). The Vegetable kingdom is depicted in three of the cards. The vegetable kingdom represents a non-threatening wildness. Summary Waites and Case's Fool Card so perfectly depict the Soul fresh from Spirit about to be encapsulated in the human body- the Absolute Unbounded Oneness descending into Physical Material Reality. The Card even has the strutting swagger of the letter Aleph. I personally agree with Case that the Major Arcana of the Tarot is connected and perhaps based on the Hebrew Alphabet- each letter has a personality. Chris Ann's symbology is very different. The Fool she depicts is in a bit more peril as she seems to knowingly fall into a whirl pool of the sacred Geometry of the Seed of Life. Colette's Fool has a bit more of a summoning element that is more reminescent of the Magician to me. The latter two, based more on reading the cards as an Oracle then a depiction of the Soul's Journey in Material Reality does make sense. Based on NDE's and Past Life Regressions the Soul is full of buyoant optimisim and enthusiasim when coming into a life. The very essence of The Fool is one of an initiating force on the level of the psyche (fascinatingly the name of a Goddess that fell in love with Eros -erotic/emotional/desire love- but we won't go down that rabbit hole). That is why it belongs to the element of air. Consciousness, even imagination, is like the wind in that it cannot be seen but it can be be perceived. As I explained when covering the Medicene Wheel, all of physical creation starts off in consciousness, in our mind. The design of an airplane started off in someone's imagination and now thousands take that as a material fact. Walt Disney describes it best in his Carousel of Progress. Every decade he describes a new innovative idea, "that will never work," but then it does and huge progress was made. Conclusion All good journeys start in the mind as a seed of an idea. Ample amount of research in Near Death Experiences and Past Life Regression Sessions say that the soul comes into a physical material reality with a plan. There is some goal- usually personal development- that they wish to obtain. Sometimes it's achieved but always the process of knowing thyself is accomplished. Many claim but few achieve self-actualization because they cannot observe themselves or their experiences objectively as a stranger would. ThatsThat's some Edgar Cacye's guides were always instructing him to do but he failed to manage. I think of the Fool Card as an infant. Filled with endless potental...yet I believe in reincarnation so I do believe we are born with pre-existing qualities (the knapsack in Case and Waite's depiction). Seeing what symbols Colette and Chris-Ann decide to take into their new version of the Tarot and what they left behind is a fascinating study. In the everyday world of oracle readings it makes sense that it represents the inspiration of an idea. To reduce the concept down to that, however, and even worse to the superstitious knock off version of "folly" does water the original meaning of this card down significantly. Waite's Tarot was provocative because well done art- or pictures- provoke a response in the observer. I find it really interesting that Colette connects the Fool to realizing that you are a Spiritual Being having a human experience as this card depicts the underlying essence of life. As for the Adrogynous being, that does not mean that gender does not exist. Only that prior to incarnation we are really neither. NDE's and Past Life regressions show that soul's develop preferences/specializations of energy and even project themselves as one gender or another in the Spiritual Realm. In the Spiritual teachings often demonized by Christians the reference to men making themselves more like women is referring to being more receptive- especially to the Divine. We have to be like the adrogynous- where we have a balance of masculine (active) and Feminine (receptive) qualities though we are naturally imbued with one quality or another. When you actualy study and know the 'hidden knowledge' you come to realize that gender is seen as a fundamental aspect of this reality that is a very important part of the expereience. As we proceed deeper into the Tarot Gender will play an even more important symbolic role. References Baron-Reid, Colette. (2017) The Good Tarot. Hay House. Carlsbad, California Case, Paul Foster. The sign of the twins often described as opposites. In her book High School Astrology Arisa Victor shares that this isn't just the opposites. This can often refer to the twins known as the conscious and subconscious. Bringing the Subconscious into our Cosncious Awareness through Shadow Work is one of the primary tasks of anyone on the Path of the Seeker. Everyone has these two polarities but they can be merged together in what is called the Sacred or Alchemical Marriage. Gemini is the Mutable Air Sigg that it likes change. Gemini are the networking social Butterflies of the world. They treat . Gem is ruled by the planet known as the messenger, Mercury. Arisa sums up the planet in this sentence, "...represents the intellect , our ability to perceive, think, reason, focus and analyze." As we head into Gemini Season we are blessed not just with the Sun being in this sign (which is what makes it Gemini season) but Mercury as well giving this Gemini Season extra juice. Mercury will be Retrograde in Gemini for half of the season and will be in Gemini until the third of June, then Retrograde back into Taurus and then pop back into Gemini by June 13th so that it will be in this sign for the 3nd of the season. The Sun and Mercury will be Sextile Jupiter in Aries at about 0 degrees of Gemini on the 21st just as Gemini Season starts. This is a huge surge of energy towards the start of something new. However, the new beginning symbolized by the sextiles at 0 degree Gemini and the stellum in Aries (Jupiter, Venus, Chiron and Eris) is not a "go right now" sort of energy. Air is the first phase of the elements (often the Element assigned to the Eastern direction of the Medicene Wheel and tied to the Fool Card (0) in Tarot. Air represents consciousness, and as ancient schools of knowledge and Thomas Campbell advocates in his book, My Big T.O.E., it is out of Consciousness (a seemingly unceasing stream of data/awareness more or less) that all of Creation is formed. I see all of this as pumping up the energy of this Gemini season...but not to "go out and do" things but to go back to the drawing board. Mercury Retrograde represents revision, re-analyzing, even relaxing and renewing. Chiastolite This is one of my favorite pieces in my collection. You can't see it in this picture but there are bands where the stone is crystalline and it is very prismatic. The cross on this stone forms naturally. Most Root Chakra Stones are very plain and are not crystalline (aside from Smoky quartz). This stone connects us to Source Energy but I'll take it a step further to say it's Christ Consciousness also known as Unity Consciousness. The Cross would be more connected with the World Card in the Tarot that symbolizes self-actualization..a symbol of completiton after gaining experience (whereas The Fool Card represents the same energy prior to that level of completion). The World Card is essentially the "resurrected" Consciousness that is no longer stuck in the reincarnation cycle. The interesting thing about this stone is that I originally saw it on Sage Goddess. I'm one of those who checks their app about 8am every day to see what they've added. They usually have at least four new offerings. I always learn something new. I didn't have the funds in the bank to buy this one when it was released on Sage Goddess and it was sold out. I checked around and I was able to find it offered from another website at a decent price after a bit of work. Sometimes Sage Goddess will list the country of origin for their stones but it's rare. I think it's fun to know that this particular stone comes from the Hunan Province of China. Conclusion There is an energy of the first blush of something new in the Collective Consciousness. Our current narrative is 9ne of lack...after decades of opulence in the West. That lack will cause people to take a hard look at why things aren't working.
I saw this opening weekend. I had to take my time and weigh what I really think of it instead of being disappointed it wasn't what I had hoped.
I did walk out of the theater saying, "Well, I've never seen anything like that before," and that's a really good thing. I was really looking forward to this and absolutely thought it would be a highlight of the year but...boy was I disappointed. Overall, the movie was okay. For me, it wasn't Thor The Dark World or Falcon and Winter Soldier bad but it's not my favorite even though it has two of my favorite charecters in it. I realized the three things I didn't like: I don't like Sam Raimi as a director. He's like Michael Bay. He can make a pretty movie but it's all special effects and no substance. There were lines that should have had emotional effect but didn't. All of the emphasis was on effects and that was fine in the 90's but I expect more. Too much Fan Service. There was a ton of fan service from Zombie Doctor Strange to Captain Carter. They threw tons of fan service into this movie- the closest title to it would be the What If Series which was animated for a reason. There was one scene with Reed Richard's in it that was so cartoony* I giggled when it happened but it was just bizarre (I'm not sure that charecter can ever be cool and not cartoony* but still). Too much emphasis on the Culture War. That really seemed to drive who they had in one alternate Earth. Captain Carter is a cool charecter. Having Maria Rambo as the Captain Marvel of that Earth was OK too...but the "super woman fight" seemed a bit forced after the men were killed too easily. Then you have America Chavez having two moms in some idyllic utopian alternate Earth that I felt was way too over the top. I also didn't like either end credits scene. ********************************Spoilers Beyond This Point************************************* Spoiler Review I was so invested in Wanda that there was a lot of dissonance for me when she was the evil charecter. WandaVision was so loved I'm still surprised they killed her charecter. Some have explained her actions in the movie was because she was possessed by the Dark Hold. So, mostly I was disappointed by that. I already explained the other reasons I didn't like the movie. The story for Doctor Strange was good. There were some very cartoony* items but they could have been done a little different and wouldn't have felt so supeeficial. With a different director Doctor Strange's story arc was actually good and this movie might have been one of my favorites. The focus on his doomed relationship with Christine (without seeing What If you wouldn't know that so it probably didn't make as much sense) is what this movie was about for him and has closure on that relationship. Wanda's story, when thinking about it without the over the top effects and distractions, was actually good as well but with so much else it wasn't very impactful. That her alternate self went to "our Wanda" (that had used her for Dream Walking) and said, "Know that they will be raised with love," was wonderful but that moment was lost in everything else. Collective I went into this with the Moon Knight Review (which, hands down was 1000x better the M.O.M.) that Mental Illness is a very big aspect of the theme this year. I have to add that Obi Wan and Turning Red both deal with that theme with Obi Wan seeming to deal with PTSD after the Jedi Order is decimated and Turning Red is very much a coming of age story of dealing with "strong emotions" aka puberty. Puberty is not mental illness but it does make people temporarily go crazy (again disorders are actually labels for perfectly common behavior which when extreme can negatively effect a person's life but are bizarrely treated as a physical disease like cancer that need to be treated for life). I have to admit that the extremes even showed up in the Primary Ballot here in California. There is a black candidate that didn't include a picture who goes off on all the black conspiracy theories including that planned parenthood is for black genocide. A black female on the ballot put "F all politicians" as her statement. Several male Republican candidates in many races put that the Coronavirus lockdowns and vaccines were abusive. I'm going to keep my sample ballot because it's a crazy piece of history. When Schwarzenegger was on the ballot it was pretty funny but this one is just so much more...wow. Again, New Power Structure is what I named this year based on the entertainment themes. Whether that's forced by people with an agenda or natural doesn't matter because people are not protesting these movies. M.O.M. was a total blockbuster to the point no one can compete. Now, this month with M.O.M. (despite Captain Carter, Maria Rambo Captain Marvel and the Scarlet Witch fight) that doesn't apply because the straight white guy won. We also have the Obi Wan series and aside from the black female villain- it's about a white straight man. Astrologically there are a crazy amount of Feminine energy this year but this month is impressive. Taurus is a feminine sign and it is ruled by Venus. Venus and Eris are in Aries right now. Black Moon Lilith is in the Feminine sign of Cancer. What is really interesting to me is that M.O.M. was released on Mother's Day Weekend. One of the aspects of this movie is Wanda as a Mom and the abbreviation literally spells M.O.M. I loved when Doctor Strange said that her kids aren't real because she used magic to create them and she replied, "Don't all women?" How weird is it that the number one movie in the world is M.O.M. when the major issues in the United States is that Roe Vs Wade is going to be overturned and there is a Baby Formula crisis (yes, I'm effected but thank goodness Katie is preferring her solid food to the bottle these days). Mom's will definitely affect the Upcoming Midterm elections. The Astrology then is so bananas I have no idea how things will turn out but I think there is a re-assertion of traditional Femine values. Most of the Mother's I know are stay-at-home Mom's and would prefer to be. A lot of women, especially after Coronavirus didn't go back into thev labor market because they realized that being at home is best (men can be homemakers too but often have more lucrative careers- such as my bargain with the Husband that whoever made the most money would work and he's now making three times what I made as a manager). With women so distracted by working no one was paying attention to the bizarre stuff that the public education system was teaching kids. I find it so sad that the public education systems can adapt deranged ideas such as the gender and pro-nounds (not sure that's what they call it but when a person says they prefer to be a Mr. Or an It or whatever) but can't seem to add it actual beneficial information like different learning types or that when you make things fun you learn them more quickly. The poison is quickly adapted but the useful is ignored. With Mothers having the option to stay home or work- I think they have more power. The government, meanwhile, is working over time to keep Mom's out of the home longer. Instead of increasing paternity or maternity leave....they want mandatory pre-school and for kids to be dependents longer with free community College (since there is an emphasis on not working and partying while in college). I wonder if all of those people loved school. I hated school and making it four years longer for future generations is pretty disgusting in my book. This shift in values is subtle right now where people realize labels are arbitrary subjective experiences that don't define who we are...I've heard that from more people then I ever expected (from Cassie Spires to Russel Brand). Just like with M.O.M. my expectations were totally subverted because they took a totally different tactic then I had hoped/wanted (granted I did not watch any of the speculation on the film that might have assumed Wanda was the villain). That is really what I see happening most of this year...we are going to have our expectations subverted frequently. Again, this is one heck of a roller coaster of a year and I have my popcorn out trusting that in the scheme of things this chaos is a part of the Divine Order and neccesary. in CanceWe are in a strange time in society.
I didn't write an intoduction to this Full Moon in 2021. While this Full Moon chart is Harmonious there are a lot of difficult aspects. We are seeing the effects of Uranus this month. I will touch on that in the Meditation part of this blog. A Full Blood Moon in Scorpio with the South node really, to me, means that this is a great time to purge Karma. I know, for me personally, I feel as though the slate has been wiped clean and I've let go of any desire of retribution or punishment on a spiritual level for people that have hurt me. When someone wronged me, before, I would find comfort that Karma meant that they would get their just desserts in this life. These days I don't feel this way. I've let go of that perspective because I realize, as Jesus said, "They do not know what they do." People are so blind to the reality of htis world they keep walking around in error. I will try to explain this new state of consciousness I've entered in the meditation. I feel it's very simple but it ended up complicated. Also, I looked up the last time Uranus was conjunct the North Node and it was when the last Good Emperor of Rome died ending the Golden Age of Rome. After his death the Empire dissolved into civil war because there were no heirs and led to a period in Rome that was considered decline. Here we have this transit as we have the United States Pluto Return (which has passed by the energy lingers for awhile and the results always come afterward) that determines if a Empire is worthy of continuing. Strangely the day I upoloaded this to Weebly (Wednesday the 11th) Joe Rogan released aclip talking about Marcus Aurelius. https://youtu.be/n8yZpKsaSbU This is a long blog but here is a lot to discuss and I didn't have time to spellcheck or read it a second time so this is the first draft. Sorry about typos. Astrology We have a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio at 25 degrees. Twenty-five breaks down to one of my favorite numbers...lucky number 7! This is the number of spiritual completion. The Moon in Scorpio brings the depth of experience to whatever we are doing. There is a lot of harmonious energy in this chart. Retrograde Mercury in Gemini is conjunct the Sun in Taurus so our thoughts and Conscious are working together on revising, reviewing, and renewing something about how we define our reality. The Sun is also conjunct the North Node so we are consciously thinking of the the path to that Aquarian future. Uranus is not far os we have that chaotic element to this process. Mars in Pisces conjunct Neptune is in a Supportive Trine to the Moon and Sun giving us the Willpower to develop our future plans regarding the Collective on an emotional level. Jupiter in Aries is in a supportive Trine to the Moon and Sextile to Mercury making sure our plans our properly detailed (that Scorpio depth) and our expansive thoughts are fresh. Pluto is also oozing harmonious energy this month. Pluto is sextiling the Moon, Neptune and Jupiter. He is also forming Trines to the Sun and Mercury. The instinctual Collective Narrative that has captured our imagination and attention is working to help pull down those pesky stagnat Capricorn constructs. The North Node conjunct the Sun is Square Saturn In Aquairus and opposed the Moon in Scorpio. However it's in a supportive to Mars and Neptune while trining Pluto. Our plans do not include that pesky Aquarius energy. For now it's best to tune into this New Collective Narrative. Lilith in Cancer, square Jupiter, is the only one not on board with the new size of this plan. Fluorite The stone of brilliance. This green fluorite resonates with the heart chakra. With this stone in hand we can tap into creative genius! This is the perfect stone for students because it promotes both creativity and studying. Fluorite forms in cubes (this one is a natural diamond shape) suggestive of the sacred geometry that represents the Earth (or the material realm if you want to think of it that way). When I created the New Moon grid I didn't remember that I pulled Fluorite as the Oralce Stone for this Full Moon as I created the Full Moon and New Moon posts at totally different times (I am currently, organizing and scheudling these blogs in 2021 by cutting and pasting them from the Word document that I used to write them). I find it very interesting and synchronistic that I have Fluorite in my Grid for this New Moon Cycle because it was reflective of the energy based on the symbols and then on top of that pulled it as an oracle stone. For me, I always feel joyful when working with Fluorite. There are some stones who's energy feel stern and serious for me but this one feels more childllike. Further Thoughts The symbols of this Full Blood Moon is very interesting. The Hierophant represents a form of instruction. You can see that he is either instructing or teaching the two supplicants. The Dog, in the Tarot has an important meaning. The Deomesticated Dogis the tamed mind. The symbol here, then, is instruction to the trained mind. Seeing this at a time when the subconscious has been triggered like none other is very significant. Seeing the knee jerk brainwashed reaction of people to the possible reversal of Roe Vs Wade has been fascinating. I had the same conditioning in the educational system. I didn't learn what the ruling actually meant- that it took the power away from the states to make abortion for all trimesters legal across the country basedon the flimsy reasoning of 'privacy' being a right protected in the consitution (tell that to the goverment when they collect our data) and that reversing it means that the power will return to the states. When I brought the topic up with the Husband he responded with the conditioned response, "I don't want to tell a woman what to do with her body." I was shocked, after Lilith-Ann's death I rejected that narrative. I saw that at five months a baby absolutely feels pain, they breath, and they have facial expressions. Believe me, if she hadn't felt pain I wouldn't have had such a strong case of PTSD. My husband, back then, agreed with me when I brought up that it's horrible that people can have abortions at five months because it's murder. That he reverted back to saying it was about the woman's body instead of the baby's life so automatically just shows how strongly conditioned he was...and then my Father In Law became absoultely hateful. When the ruling was given in the 1970's the justices who wrote it knew that it was a flimsy ruling. There was a very carefully crafted narrative around it and throughout all levels of the educational system- in particular college- it was enshrined as a huge achievement of Human Rights in ithe United States. Literally, the rest of the world has a lot of restrictions on abortion. We are the only country in the world that is a free for all when it comes to abortion. Yet, we have learned a lot about the development of babies in the womb. We can see the ultrasound with 3D accuracy how developed babies are so quickly. Overwhelmingly, people are against abortion in the third trimester (which Roe vs Wade protects), a strong percenatage is against it in the second trimester and most agree that during the first trimester it's not a big deal. An adjustment needs to be put in place and this is the only way that it can happen. I've seen this on other levels too...and I realized that we are in avery gray area of determing what our values are as a country. So many people have this conditoned response that has triggered this response it is very fasincating to me. The Heirophant with the Dog, to me, is a reminder to work with our mind consciously. Mediation Venus met with the Monad- Jupiter and Neptune- and she was not absorbed into the Oneness. As the Oneness represents Hive Mind, and Sophia retained her individuality, it is very interesting that two situations involving that Group Think took central stage. First, Elon Musk bought Twitter claiming that he did so to bring back Freedom Of Speech (an attribute of Individuality gra ting us the ability to disagree with others if we want). Second, the Disinformation Governance Board was created and announced by the United States Department of Homeland Security. The woman put in charge of the board has openly shared disinformation. The Orwellian concept of a Ministry of Truth from the novel 1984 comes to mind. The sad thing is it's unlikely to be dissolved by either side now that it exists but the person in charge is likely to change with each president. Now Venus is the essence of the Warrior Goddess Ishtar or Inanna as she forges a new story. She will be conjunct Eris and Chiron for this Full Moon. Jupiter has followed Venus into the sign of Aries really giving this thay feeling of new ground being broken. That the new ground is looking to the world's richest eccwntric man to preserve Free Speech, an Orwelian board of government, and the reversal of Roe Vs. Wade which was predicted but has been preached as a defining victory that set the USA apart from the rest of the world...the World is definitely changing. We also received a taste of Uranus conjunct the North Node when the judgement to reverse Roe Vs Wade was leaked. The fact that this happened as Venus speeds towards a conjunction with Eris and Chiron is very interesting. That the two Goddess planets are conjunct Chiron suggests to me that despite what people think...this may actually a very healing ruling for women. I won't debate it (and I'm biased having seen how much pain a 5 month baby can feel when I witnessed the brief life of my premature eldest daughter). Looking forward to June, when the decision is scheduled to officially come out, Venus will be conjunct Black Moon Lilith. Although Lilith is a hypothetical point the double Goddess energy again aligned with the decision is fascinating. Meditating on the Uranus- Chaos really- energy two thoughts occurred. First, Uranus is connected to Uranium so the threat of a Nuclear War when it is so prominent makes sense. Second, I was reminded listening to Joe Rogan of the Chaos Energy that propelled Trump into power. The Meme Magic and the Egyptian God Kek, God of Chaos that looked like a frog, statue being found at that time. With Elon Musk buying Twitter there is a strong chance Trump will emerge into the lime light. Looking at November 15th Uranus plays a huge role. On the Taurus Full Moon will be conjunct Uranus. Honestly, you can't make this stuff up. We may see Trump rise from the ashes. The reversal of Roe vs. Wade is a huge victory for him. Also interesting is that the last time the North Node and Uranus met in Taurus Marcus Aurelius, the last of the Five Good Emperors, died which lead to a civil war. I find that very interesting given that the Neptune/Jupiter conjunction in 1856 major events leading to the US Civil War occurred. Of course, in addition to that you have the US Pluto Return that happened on February 22 2022...an energy that we are in the heart of that is said to make or break Empires...and a US proxy war with Russia (via Ukraine) started at that time. The Biden administration is now openly saying that the their goal isn't to protect the lives of innocent Ukranians by trying to make a peace agreement...but to force Regime Change in Russia. Also, the fanatic energy of the Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in Pisces gave rise to only one incident- the subway shooting of an openly Black Supremacist (YouTube videos) that was promptly buried by the press. Symbols We have the Hierophant and the Dog Card as our main symbols this month. Relationships, loyalty, instruction and devotion come to mind as a uniting theme of these two cards. Combining that with the fact that our Oracle Stones for this time period are entirely Heart Chakra Stones relationships are defintely at the forefront. For this Full Moon we have Fluorite, for Taurus Season we have Rhodonite, and for the Month of May Rhodochrosite. Isn't it interesting that loyalty came up with one of the clerks for the Supreme Court leaking the Roe Vs Wade decision. Then even with our government pursuing very dangerous tactics with Ukraine the nation is... More interested and obsessed with the Johnny Depp vs Amber Herd Defamation Trial? In that trial there was video evidence that Amber admitted to beating Johnny but no evidence proving he beat her (other then that suggested by the fact he is a horrible drug addict.) MoonKnight came to a conclusion and we had Multiverse of Madness come out. Entertainment I said that the New Power Structure was a thing this year. I said that regarding fewer white male leads this year. In fact, the diversity is even broader then I thought. From America Chavez (first Hispanic Female Superheor) to Layla (the Red Scarab and first Egyptian Superhero) in Moon Knight there are a lot of firsts. Oscar Isaac's charecter was the first Jewish Superhero/Guatemalan descent. The other major universal theme (not just Marvel Movies) is Mental Illness. I'm surprised I didn't put that together with "Madness" and "Mania" being in two of Marvel's movies. Moon Knight had Disassociative Identity Disorder. Thor Love and Thunder looks like a big of that story arc will be Thor healing from PTSD. I have strong opinions about the mental health industry. Having and sharing that you have some sort of Disorder has actually become trendy (people call it acceptable). People get an excuse for bad behavior. Of course, a Disorder pretty much exists for every form of human behavior these days. With Psychiatrists not even attempting to cure people with Disorders (often believing its not possible) working in tandem with pharmaceutical companies that love coming up with drugs for the latest Disorder (that often cause psychosis and suicide) understanding or trying to "fix" that part of our society is an act of futility. There are too many benefits to permanent patient from childhood to grave. Still, very strange themes this year but I must say it's 100% better then the year of the Villains theme of 2021. Personally On a personal level I've experienced deep peace due to a new level of acceptance. My daughters are doing swimmingly. I've started a new diet where I only eat meat on the weekends. Everything else had been very smooth and, overall, life has been 100% better since all the March drama. I can honestly say Mothers Day was great. The Husband bought me the Coffee Lovers box of candy from Sees Candy that I asked fororgeous boq, a gogeous flower mix, we went to see the movie I was looking forward to the most this year because it had my two favorite charecters in the MCU in it and my daughter insisted on getting me a giant Mother's Day Balloon. Are things perfect in my life? Have I mastered some state of Consciousness where everything is rainbows and roses? No (although my house does have rainbows and roses at the moment! I bought some cool window decals the kids go nuts over that cast rainbows into the rooms). Take, for example, Mother's Day Weekend was bumpy. We did our date day on Saturday to see Multiverse of Madness opening weekend. That was really the only movie I was really looking forward to this year and I didn't like it. When we went to pick up the girls from the sitter we learned they had 7 month old Katie who's started to crawl on the couch and she fell off if it onto the concrete floor. She also had such a large poop it got all over her clothes so they had to hose them down outside (I had back up outfits we call it poo-apocalypse when it happens). Talking about what had happened was the first time I heard Ross best friend cuss. When we went to celebrate Mother's Day the Day of at her house his Dad was in a terrible mood because we had no intention of taking them out to lunch.. he wanted a patty melt. So, a seventy year old man that's a hoarder (the Accountant from Soul is so my Father In Law- especially since he was an accountant) had a temper tantrum that ended with how much he hates Trump and he hopes a Nuclear World War 3 happens that vaporizes everyone...all because we brought them Panera for lunch instead of taking him out to eat where he could get a Patty Melt. This is a guy who insists he's not going re-incarnate again. Granted, the Mother In Law is a lot worse and I'm sure it's stressful for someone like my Father In Law who is unable to express emotions or weakness to deal with it. She fell asleep twice while the Husband was talking to her and trying to show her pictures. When I asked if they diag osed her with dysphagia, since she's having problems swallowing, he became confused about what doctors they had seen. He said that they were sending her to a speech therapist for the swallowing problem. I'm hoping the Mother In Law makes it to Katie's first Birthday but I'm not holding my breath. The fact she's having trouble remaining conscious means she'll probably go to sleep and not wake up which, for me, is a preferred way to die and a mercy for someone who's suffered a lot. I could have let those two negative events- poo-apocalypse with the Fall from the couch- and the Father In Law wishing death on the entire world because his wife is dying ruin Mother's Day. Yet, I accept it. Human life is messy, chaotic, imperfect, constantly full of change leading those unable to let go a lot of suffering and grief. I knew once May hit, because of the Astrology, that the rest of this year is going to be rough. The day the Roe vs Wade decision was leaked Uranus was conjunct the North Node in Taurus. This week Jupiter entered Aries, the sign if Mars, and while it brings tidings of New Beginnings there is, of course, a War like energy to it. We also had Mercury go Retrograde...so a double whammy of energy that leads to fights. After the deep inner and personal work I've done I've really settled into a state of acceptance. I see a lot of the suffering of the world, especially right now, comes from rejecting reality. I see the majority of society as insane on a Spiritual Level. Their errors in the perception of reality is what causes people to keep making the wrong choices that lead to suffering. Given the momentum of society is away from the realizations thay would ease their suffering I don't see this changing during my lifetime. The two factors driving the dis-ease is: A lack of belief or trust in God and a rejection of suffering. Psychiatrists and Psychologists acknowledge that the twelve step process- the first step of which is to recognize a higher power- works but it's important to realize that they don't teach or practice it themselves. They refer patients to the twelve step process organizations. The concept of believing in a Higher Power has proven to work but the Scientific Community cannot accept it as an acceptable Scientific practice or a solution. I always thought it was interesting that Edgar Cacye listed "Long-Suffering" as a virtue but now I understand why. The virtue isn't "unending happiness" and I hate to say it because it is so prevalent in the New Age movement- happiness as human define it isn't a birth right or a guarantee. Happiness, joy, and peace are a state of mind that persists even during challenging difficult moments because of personal development and self-actualization. A soul purposefully cultivates that state of being over multiple lives. Atheism is the predominant perspective that's taught in our society. If you go into college you will be brainwashed by those so called "experts" into thinking religious people are crazy and the "smart people" believe that Creation is chaotic, the ignorant masses need to be lead by their noses for their own good and our duty is to "make" a better world. The Biden truly believes and is working to prolong the Ukraine and Russia conflict because he believes that the death of Russian soldiers is worth the death of hundreds of innocent Ukranian civilians to create "A New World Order" where the United States is the unchallenged ruler of the world. The only two countries that oppose that concept is Russia and China. Ahieats, in their hatred of religion and God, have rejected the parts that bring peace and kept the dogmatic dis-eased parts of religion. For example, because it's looked upon as "bad" and "abnormal" thanks to thousands of years of condtioining- escapisim and self-soothing is seen as bad. We discourage escapist activities...then say a sedating pill that cause a litany of twrrible side effects...is the right way to deal with the stress of life...even though the scientists who study and create them admit they know next to nothing about how the brain works. Depression in teens is caused by technology...instead of the fact people are escaping into it. Teen suicide is up but use of other self-soothing methods- teeange pregnancy (escape through sex), teenage drinking and teenage illegal drug abuse are all down. So, the technology has to be the cause just as alcohol was the cause for bad behavior leading to prohibition. Since the majority of people can't accept that suffering is a natural and important part of physical material reality they can't accept that the proper method humans use is a form of escapisim and that it has always been that way. A great movie is a wonderful method of escapisim. We may even learn something from it that we can use in our personal life. Music is another great form of escapisim. Not very long ago Metallica was blamed for teenagers bad behaviors. Teenagers naturally revolt. Humans are in a state of revolt from the Creator. That's why the Creator made this realm...so that we could be seperate and learn the wisdom of co-creating instead of thinking we can create realiry better then the One Creator. Acceptance that this realm is as it should be with suffering as a primary teacher (and knowing how boring things would be without risk) and when you accept that...everything changes. I accept the good with the bad because I know that is the nature of the world and it cannot be separated. I see the Divine Brilliance in that set up for Souls to learn and then seek to return to the Divine with the wisdom they've gained to be co-creators. So, when I watch people going nuts about Trump, Putin, or Roe vs Wade I just sit back and watch in fascination. That the revered elite of this world are like little children banging their heads against the wall trying to make a perfect society (just as the Catholic Church did)...when that is patently against the Will of God and destined to fail is actually humorous. In the course of the One Creator's plan none of it matters. The athiests argue God doesn't existing because only a cruel or imperfect childish God would create suffering. Yet, suffering and accepting the Natural Order of Physical Material Reality where the children of the One Creator are given the freedom to create and make infinite mistakes infinitely on their own so that they can suffer the consequences and learn the errors of their ways is Mercy. Knowing that this is the nature and purpose of this reality when I see systems being created to tamp down that natural order of human freedom to choose- such as the Department of Homeland Security's Disinformation Governance Board- I know it won't last. That's why I stand by systems that promote choice- such as voting and independent states that exist in a Union instead of an all-powerful centralized government. I think we are actually moving towards that de-centralization of power that has existed for about seventy years...not just in our government but regarding the corporations...because that's the Natural Order of things. Amazon and even Walmart is a great example of how when given a choice people prefer a wide variety of choices (even if they are subpar) to a choice between to a small amount of high quality products. If humanity accepted the Natural Order of Reality and worked with it our perception of a Mental Health Crisis would disappear. Suffering, paradoxically, would lessen. We would study self-soothing and learn what was the appropriate amount with a lot of healthy options. Spiritual people are no exception. They also have those core dogmatic beliefs and think by virtue of bring spiritual that they will earn passage into a New Earth where suffering won't exist because "bad" people won't be there. Anyways, I've tried to explain the epiphanies that iveI've experienced that has given me an unshakable peace. I still get angry and irritated...but the sting of it is no longer there. I don't think the full effect of this acceptance has really become an automatic reaction. This new state of mind is not ingrained yet so I still snap back to the old reflexive condition responses from time to time. However, I am far slower at reacting now. Only when there is an overwhelming amount of irritations at once do I fall into the old reactive patterns. I'm curious if this new state of inner peace will grow stronger or diminish during this extraordinarily challenging year. References: Perakis, Athena. Do not bad mouth the energy this month. The Lovers Card in Tarot is one of promise. Literally (I keep saying that but this Full Moon does have a lot of Earth/Material Reality energy) there is a Rainbow of Promise above the Angel (Superconscious/Higher Self) that is communicating to the Lovers. This is a month of Divinely inspired creativity. The mystery started last month and this month the Collective Narrative has run off with the inspiration. Only the Divine knows where this will eventually lead.
I really enjoyed this series.
Out of the entire Marvel Series (including the ones originally developed by Netflix) I would rank this one as my third favorite. The first two episodes were really innovative and were easily the best. I found it funny the two reviewers I watch covered both of those episodes.. and then fell off and I'm not sure if they made videos reviewing the entire series. (I was particularly busy the week before Mother's Day and then Mother's Day Weekend when I saw Multiverse of Madness- that review will post next Wednesday). Upon the third episode they reverted to the the more typical Marvel formula. Had they stuck to the style the first two were in it would be my favorite. The ending of the Fourth Episode was my absolute favorite moment in the MCU. When Taweret showed up causing Marc and Steven scream and you could tell which was which...I was blown away by Oscar Isaac's acting. The CGI in this series was by the far the best of the series and even outdid Black Panther. Oscar Isaac's performance was absolutely stellar. He's become one of my favorite actors. May Calamawy was very good as well with my favorite part of her performance being when she agrees to be Taweret's avatar. Ethan Hawke also gave a masterful performance as Harrow. He had some of my favorite lines in the series. When he explains that all of reality exists in the mind I wanted to applaud. That's the first time I've ever heard the Conscious Universe explained in a mainstream form of entertainment. I really enjoyed the story. Even though I think they could have drawn out the moments of confusion when Steven blacked out for an entire first season and it still would have been satisfying. I would have liked a little bit more interactions with the Avatars of the Ennead. I really thought they would have more of a role. They were killed a little too easily. The Collective I called this year a New Power Structure because non-white charecters were being emphasized. Oscar Isaac is of Guatemalan heritage and, of course in the series itself, attention was drawn to the fact that May Calamawy was the first Egyptian Superhero. Marc, the main personality of Moon Knight was the first Jewish superhero in the MCU as far as I know as well...and that's what I meant by New Power Structure- non-white main charecters are definitely emphasized this year (if that's manufactured per the Government politics push toward that narrative or genuine I'll let you decide). The other theme that I've noticed is Mental Health-Moon Knight's main charecter as Disassociative Idenity Disorder (D.I.D. and formerly multiple personality disorder) the Multiverse of Madness literally uses the term "Madness" which is another term for mental illness, Antman and Wasp have the term "Mania" (another term for mental illness) in the title and Thor Love and Thunder's trailer makes it look as though it's about him healing his PTSD along the way. Also, in The Batman the Riddler charecter was insane. Everything Everywhere All At Once also deals with tones of seeming insanity. Finally, Panthons of God's is the other theme. We have the Ennead in this movie, for example, but also most people saw the the Eternals this year since that came out in December. In addition, we know that Zeus, and therefore an entirely new Pantheon will be introduced in Thor: Love and Thunder. Very strange patterns in the Collective This year We are about to embark on an epic journey.
The Tarot. Connected to so much superstition. Many ignorantly think of it merely as an evil tool of the gypsy to ensnare ignorant souls by telling them there future. The Church branded it a tool of the Devil, and the fact that there was a Devil Card, and since many people were depicted as naked (a very important symbol but I'm guilty of being uncomfortable with it- I guess my life in the 1800's Victorian England still affects my consciousness) cemented it as a tool of witch craft or at the very least snake oil salesman. In a scene of one of my favorite movies, Tombstone, Wyatt Earps opiate addicted wife reads the cards and upon seeing the Tower, Devil and Death card forsees the eldest brother, Virgils death. Yet, as we will see Waite- the author/creator behind the Rider/Waite sets (Rider was an artist that was instructed what to draw soecificallt) did not see it as a tool of fortune. The creator of the most popular and widely accepted or thought of set of Tarot Cards wrote his book on the Tarot specifically to say that it is not a tool of divination (although, because it conveys universal prinicpals it can be used for that too). Paul Foster Case (who created his own Major Arcana Tarot Deck) and Waite are in agreement that the deck was created in Europe during the Middle Ages to preserve knowledge through visual depiction when thr Catholic Church was conducting book burning. The Author Laird Scranton has proven that the earliest forms of communication were actually visual depictions of archetypes that were universally understood without people needing to read. People knew the underlying meaning of the symbols in the drawings. Eventually, that transformed into pictographs and then the even more sophisticated alphabets. Even our ancient ancestors knew that a picture- or in their case a grand picture of art- conveys far more than a string of words. The Tarot is an outgrowth of that tradition. There is a mystery as to when the Minor Arcana was added but many believe it was much later. Some claim the modern card decks are based on the Tarot but there is little evidence to support that claim. Paul Foster Case (and his student Jason C. Lotterhand) explains that the deck actually represents different aspects of the self. Even though each card seems to depicted a different person each of us have the dimensions within us and we connect with them at different times of our lives. The final seven cards of the Major Arcana depict the Path of the Seeker and I have studied those already. Case also assigned the Hebrew Letters to each card (which does seem to work) but Waite specifically (without calling out Case while he does name other contempories with whom he disagrees) says he does not agree with that practice. We will cover the Major Arcana with six sources- A. E. Wait's "The Pictorial Key To The Tarot", Paul Foster Cases "The Tarot A Key To The Wisdom of the Ages," Jason C. Lotterhand, "The Thursday Night Tarot," Chris-Anne's "The Light Seers Tarot", Collete Baron Reids "The Good Tarot Deck," and the cheapest knock off brand of Rider-Waites Tarot Cards I could buy. Waite, Case and Lotterhand have long crossed over into Spirit. I wanted to have more modern opinions on it. Chris Anne would be an example of the newest form of the Spiritual Movement she is one of many that doesn't seem to have had an extensive career (if at all) as an actual card reader but created the deck for personal use. Collette Baron Reid has over thirty years of actual experience using the cards in a predictive way. The interesting thing is she prefers her Oracle cards that were based on her experience with the Tarot to the actual Tarot (although, since Cornoavirus she has gone back to using the Rider-Waite Tarot which I find very intersting. I've watched her weekly predictive astrology for over a decade now and her entire style changed). Finally, I'm very curious to see what the China Knock off Brand of Rider Waite- which will probably give the most superstious universally accepted predictive meanings for the cards- says in it's guidebook. These days, everyone seems to be making there own Tarot Decks. Many of them are more like Oracle Card decks then Tarot, however, and have lost their symbolic meaning. There is a set of Tarot themeed to everything from Cats to Disney Charecters. Just looking at them you have a totally different vibe and it makes sense that the Rider-Waite set continues to be the most popular. Many of those who do readings on YouTube do so without consulting the guidebook and base it on intuitive hits based on the symbols that 'jump out' at them. For the Minor Arcana I will be using Waite's Book, Chris Ann's Guidebook a book by Isabel Radbow Kliegman's called Tarot and the Tree of Life, Collette Baron Reid's Good Tarot and the Generic Tarot Deck Guidebook. I love Kleigman's book as she makes a great case that the Minor Cards are just as instuctive and carry specific themes as the Major Arcana. As I said, Case dismissed the Minor Arcna as a later addition that- perhaps hundreds of years after the original set- and created by a different Author or authors. Conclusion There are diverse views on the Tarot. In the upcoming blogs that I write we will study each in depth from multiple perspectives. We will search for universal truths that many teach us more of ourselves...and how each person projects onto the images to interact with them. Whether people dismiss the idea that the Major Arcana was created as a method to preserve the acneint knoweldge of the wisdom traditions...or people think they are an inutiuitive tool for personal healing or simply one of many diviniation traditions the Tarot has become a staple of the Spiritual Community. As more people turn away from organized religion the Tarot has become popular. Just type in Tarot Deck to Amazon or Tarot into YouTube and you will find a lot of content. Personally, I see it as an intuitive self-reflective tool that were crafted with the intention of fostering personal growth and the Inward Journey that Edgar Cacye encouraged. The Tarot is a great way to embark on the Journey of "Know Thyself" through the use of Universal Archetypes. I intend to meditate and study one card a month....this Journey should take nearly 7 years. That's why I used the term "epic" (defined as long and drawn out). |
