"That is an enigma wrapped in a paradox," this old somewhat crazy man used to say at the Coffee House where I worked. He had a pure heart, at some point he'd been a college professor in a field I can't remember, but he'd clearly gone nuts at some point. My co-workers hated him and my evil manager used to chew me out for giving him attention because he didn't want the man to come back.
Paradox, did mankind always have the ability to perceive a paradox...let alone solve it? What is a paradox, you might ask...so here it is: a statement or proposition that, despite sound (or apparently sound) reasoning from acceptable premises, leads to a conclusion that seems senseless, logically unacceptable, or self contradictory. This blog is more of a stream of consciousness...this is how my mind thinks hopping from one subject to another. I apologize if it's not exactly straight forward and tidy. I hope you enjoy the labyrinth of words and ideas that follows. Star Trek and Timelines. I used the final scene from Star Trek: The Next Generation for a few reasons. I completely left Star Trek out of the Timelines post. There were a lot about Timelines in Star Trek. Not only were they in TNG, but they were integral to Voyager as well (in fact in the final episode it was by changing the past that Captain Janeway brought home her crew) and a lot in the Star Trek: Enterprise. I remember watching a behind the scenes where they explained that the Star Trek company so insisted on Timelines being part of the story line in Enterprise that the writers felt that it really negatively impacted their ability to write the series. This is why the seasons involving time travel kind of sucked. Why were time lines and time manipulation so important to the creators of Star Trek? Was it simply to tie Voyager and Enterprise together? I have no idea. Second, a lot of the flexibility in thinking and new ideas that I have explored had their germination in episodes of Star Trek. In the final episode of the Next Generation Q was testing Captain Picard. The Q continuum was threatening to destroy all of humanity unless mankind could show they were capable of perceiving and solving a paradox. Picard had to realize he was the source and cause of the rip in space time...no matter how inconceivable that may seem and how unwittingly he was causing it. To me, perhaps, that is what we are saying. Maybe that's what's causing a "shift" and potentially creating a future time line that is not the doom and gloom predicted from psychics starting with the New Testament Revelations to Nostradamus and all the way down to Edgar Cacye. Do our memories define us? The Mandela thing is a bit of a paradox in itself. There are some weird instances that I am susceptible to and in particular the lion and lamb. As I was talking about this subject after writing Timelines I remembered the explanation for the lion and lamb laying down together, and that it was a symbol for Jesus Christ (Yeshua). The Lion stood for the fact that he is the lion of Judea and the Lamb is the symbol for the sacrifice that he made on the cross. I have no idea what the interpenetration for a wolf vs. a lamb would be (unless he was secretly a member of House Stark from Game of Thrones). However, while some people might argue that we are our memories I disagree. We are much more than our memories. Having had a past life recall I can tell you, three memories of lives from each life were more than enough to give me the flavor and capture the essence of my thinking in those lives. Yes, pivotal moments can help chart the course of our lives but we are not our memories. So, to say that the Mandela Effect in some way affects us on a personal level, that it invalidates who we are if things of the past are not remembered correctly...I disagree. The person with dementia that can't really remember anything is still the same person, forgetful yes, but their personality is still there. Ask anyone who has a loved one with dementia and despite the lack of memory they will say they are the same person. Perhaps, it is just that small lesson that is the purpose of the Mandela Effect. Life Is Transitory "The fact is that what appears to us as a solid reality is actually in a state of continuous flux. The world is a continuous state of flux. The house that we grew up in is not the same house anymore. The mother and father that we knew when we were children are physically different now. Where is our first bicycle? At one time, it seemed so real." (Turning the Mind Into an Ally, Sakyon Mipham). The idea that life is just as an illusion is a popular one. In the book Ancient Egyptian Mysticism John Van Aucken explains that the Egyptians knew this concept. To them, this world was the illusion and the spiritual world was real. We are in the world of "being upside down." The idea that life is an illusion and that it's transitory/temporary can be related to the idea that each moment is just a bunch of photons arranged in a certain pattern. That moment, that Now, is all that exists. Then it changes and that prior "now" is gone. Our linear mind simply makes a story of the data that we interpret, from each of these momentary alignments of photons and while objects seem to be permanent they really aren't. Being In The Now Ultimately, the past is behind us and the way that we experience this reality, in a linear fashion, there is no way for us to go back and retrieve it (this is an argument that can be made very rationally about time travel). At the same time, the future doesn't exist aside from some potentials. The Now holds the seeds to the future, this is where we plant them and we may watch them grow in future moments. However, as I mentioned before, the key is to make choices that bring us the most joy. Sure, sometimes it's the choice of what jewelry to wear to work but the little moments are what make the biggest differences. I've seen this work in my own life. I was very miserable not very long ago. I started making choices in every moment that brought me the greatest joy. Of course, within limitations. Obviously, eating a Twinkie every hour might bring temporary joy but eventually will lead to dire results such as obesity or diabetes. So, you have to be reasonable. When you have to reasonable choices, the Mickey Mouse earrings or the skull today? Well, which ever you are most excited to wear is the one you should choose. That's the basics of this idea. Also, there is no guarantee to happiness. No matter what we do to pursue a better life there will always be random things that will happen that might set us back. People die, that's a sad reality of life, and tragedies happen... although it might be unexpected we can't really anticipate that. That, however, is something that's a bit more acceptable once we realize life is temporary and everything in life is in flux. Further, if we accept that this is the testing ground for spirit...and it's a bit of a spiritual obstacle course, those random incidents seem to make sense. The Shift In earlier blogs I've stated that I felt the shift happened in 2014. The idea of a shift has been something that's been in the New Age ideology for a long time. The shift has been referred to the Age of Aquarius or the Jupiter Incarnation. I will cover this topic in a future blog. This is a huge topic. The believe the Shift for the most part was in thinking and nothing more. We are what we think. So when we are rigid, and we are stuck in Group Think (I will be talking about how Group Think and Apathy in the United States has been a detriment to our country in another blog) it really leads to a bad outcome. Here is the definition of Group Think: The practice of thinking or making decisions in a group in a way that discourages creativity or individual responsibility. The wonderful thing about these fringe outlets and people who are not accepted by Mainstream Academia (which is very much stuck in Group Think) is that they have stirred imagination. They have stirred people with truth and ideas that the people stuck in institutions cannot say or share. They are churning out far more than anyone who goes to college to learn how to churn out new ideas can even attempt (college tends to drive out creativity and imagination by forcing people into molds based on the date/interpretations of those who came before them in that field of research). Perhaps, to perceive new realities, to perceive alien cultures that we are pretty sure exist because of Drakes Equation but have not made themselves known is because we lacked the imagination to do so. If what we perceive is just a bunch of photons arranging themselves into pictures very quickly so that our limited minds with their senses perceive a solid reality...perhaps that reality is limited by imagination. I will go further into this idea in my post on The Shift. A Choice "Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere."- Albert Einstein That's one of my favorite quotes. We are being handed a choice. Do we go with the fear and continue with Group Think refusing to change basing everything on Logic? Do we embrace the unknown and let our imagination take us to new heights? We see this in many spheres of influence right now. We have been stuck in Group Think probably since World War One if not World War Two. In this country FDR put into motion a lot of things including a military that has 562 bases throughout a world of 189-196 countries (the reason there is a range is because there are countries that some consider to be 'territories' but they see themselves as independent countries). I think there are enough people who want to see change, real change, they don't trust the path that we were on as a nation or a world (a unified one world idea). I think we can absolutely track the cause of this break from Group Think to the Alternative Media. This is why the United Kingdom has voted to leave the Europe Union by a slim margin (Apparently, they were told that those who didn't vote to stay in the EU were racist. That's a familiar strategy employed in the United States as well...right now against Trump). Heck, the fact women have been upgraded to the mammal class, that they are being recognized as animals in Saudi Arabia instead of just mere property/inanimate object is a huge sign of the Establishment giving way. This is why Trump and Bernie Sanders have been able to challenge the Establishment. To say, yes we've been doing this for sixty odd years but enough is enough! We don't want your globalism. We like our individual national cultures...it gives us variety and creativity. We don't want everyone to think the same way and give up the passion of disagreement! We don't want to become an undifferentiated globe of people. Diversity creates ideas. Trying to make everyone the same kills the imagination. If I'm not allowed to think differently then everyone else my creativity will die. However, it's your choice. You can choose to be part of the Establishment that is stuck in Group Think. Or you can join us out on the fringe. We're not as lonely as we used to be! Isis/Sophia Another curiosity I'm currently exploring has to do with the Triple Goddess. There is evidence that there was a Matriarchal religion on our planet before there was a Patriarchal religion. This means that we worshiped a female god, or set of God's, before we worshiped the male Christian singular God that we all know. To me, the mother Goddess smacks of witch craft. Anything where people can really twist an idea, where there really isn't an established consensus or a deep tradition crafted over thousands of years when it comes to spiritual thinking is murky. There are a lot of mediums and witches who want to create a Mother Goddess religion and completely mar research of this subject with something totally different than the traditional thinking...but they will claim they based it on old spiritual ideas without references or resources (yuck). One of the things that really bugs me about the entire situation in the Middle East is that the Media keeps using the name I.S.I.S. for the Islamic State. We could just call them the Islamic State. Our government uses the abbreviation I.S.I.L. because they realize that they are describing the ancient Goddess of Egypt's name by using it to describe a patriarchal group that treats women like furniture. Even if she is not worshiped anymore that's an insult to that culture. Further, DAESH (an insult to them that is intentional, look that up, do your homework) has desecrated sites that are sacred to the ancient goddesses. They destroyed Ishtar's/Innana's lion wall in Ninevah! In Jupiter Ascending we see the return of the Mother Goddess with the female character, Jupiter, becoming the protector of Earth from outside forces. I will probably go through and write a blog specifically about all the ideas in Jupiter Ascending. There is so much that if someone isn't a 'student of the mysteries' (nope I'm not a Freemason, chicks can't be fore one, and secondarily I refused to join any spiritual group because I don't want to be influenced by Group Think) would become lost...they can have fun and enjoy the action of the movie...but the deeper meanings will be totally and completely lost. So, in some way, even in our news it seems as though someone is trying to conjure up the great primordial mother of old. I'm not implying this is witchcraft. Sophia represents imagination. I even read somewhere (a piece written by a student of Rudolf Steiner) that Sophia was killed not long after Christ came to Earth but it was necessary for our spiritual development. There are so many levels to this idea I have to save it for a future blog. I will say that this does tie in with a new topic that I'm reading about (Rudolf Steiner) and its an area I have not dared to tread before because, being raised Christian, it smacks of witchcraft (which I see as pathetic, it's like a druggy...people unable to cope with the world trying to control the world through outside influences that will destroy them not realizing the key lies within their own mind). The resurrection of women equal to men and the Triple Goddess may be a huge influence on today's world. Non-Linear Games Strangely, it's in video games that we find people who have gone non-linear. I have talked about how humans like linear stories...where one plot point leads to another and eventually we end up with a conclusion (The Hero's Journey). However, in the gaming field people have become more inclined to want a non-linear game. Here there a bunch of side stories, smaller plots, along with the major plot, but it more resembles the world we live in where we choose where we go, what plot to follow, what mission to complete and we have freedom of choice. For example, in the video game Skyrim I have never gone through with the 'main' plot or story line. I focused on trying to complete the side quests first, even thought after doing the main 'campaign' I could do the side quests. The amount of freedom in these games is staggering. I think the non-linear video game is actually an evolution in human thought and story telling that only technology of that sort could produce. I will come back to this in my post on 'the shift.' Perhaps, those Indigo kids that became video game nuts and nerds really have changed our world and created a new reality/future timeline. Again, it comes back to thought, which has a direct effect on our reality. If the mind is the builder, because it builds our world based on what it can perceive and imagine...thoughts affect that reality. There is even the chance that when you rewrite the now you rewrite history as well...but again, I'll get into that in the 'Shift' post which will be a bitch to write because there is so much information I want to distill so it's easily digestible for everyone. Again, everyone wanted to imagine an earth shattering catastrophic event that would make people make choices...but spirit doesn't really work that way anyways. So, the choice we have is subtle and entirely mental. Conclusion I believe that this world is an experiment of spirit. Not of aliens, although, alien life forms might have helped to further that intention. There is a bit of murkiness about the influence of a possible Atlantis/Leumaria and the Annunaki (aliens who came here to mine gold according to Zechiriah Stitchin and messed with our genetics). I'll do a future post on Atlantis as I think it is pertinent to know the thinking about that fabled land in our time and I have found some agreement from at least four different sources that boggles my mind. I don't think they have linked up to realize that they have amazing similarities in what they are describing in ancient history. This will most likely be my next post, if not it will be the Apathy/Group Think argument about the United States. However, at some time I do believe that there were people 'in the know' on this planet that left their fingerprints upon this world (sorry Graham Hancock I couldn't help myself, I still need to buy the book Fingerprints of the Gods....hopefully, I will do so for my birthday). As John Van Auken describes, these people left us a blue print for us to follow, they knew what they were doing when they became a part of this story and they knew how it would end. When we find these traces, when we follow them back, when we apply the possibility to our Now, I believe that we can and do change the future. Perhaps, there is a battle between forces in this world for the minds of people. In the past, people described these influences as beings, we deified them and personified them because we could not conceive of abstract thought (I will go into this in the shift post) but now we can see them for what they are...mere influences not beings or forces...things we can influence by choice...again it is a choice that we are making. If we dwell on the idea of Satan we will find evidence of Satan hiding under every bush, every tree and in every institution man has ever made. If we dwell on the thought of God we can see the divine in every nuance of life...in a sort of natural Order that our mathematicians can even map. You choose to give your power of creativity over to one or the other...whichever you find to be the most exciting. Thank you again for reading this, I know this one was not written as 'tightly' or as simple as I like and often appeared to wonder off topic. However, there were ideas and thoughts I left out of Timelines because it would make it too long and I just wanted to dip into the topic to clarify and expand a few things. My next three blogs will consist of The Shift, Group Think In America, and The Triple Goddess. These might not be the final titles but there is an outline of what I intend to write. For some reason this blog really reminds me of the Captain Planet theme song. Such 80's wholesomeness. Laugh, relax, don't be so tense, everything will be alright. The Power Is Yours.
