In the last few posts I have demonstrated, in an obtuse, way that the United Stats (and in some ways the world) is suffering fro a slow state of death inducing rigor mortis. In a future post I will dissect how the Nation we now know as the United States became so different from the one the Framers of the Constitution conceived. Metaphorically, we can imagine the United States as a pool of water, that pool of water is disconnected from fresh sources of water (inspiration/Sophia) and thus the animals and plants that live on that pool of water will eventually die.
To go out on a limb here, Bashar's story of the Grey Aliens is a warning. They were so focused on creating group unity, Group Think, they stopped reproducing naturally and started reproducing artificially. This way they could edit out the diseases in humanity ( we are going along the path of genetically engineering our children check out this article: http://www.france24.com/en/20160706-mothers-dna-may-affect-ageing-study). The Grey's, according to Bashar, effectively edited out their human individuality in favor of a Group/Hive Mind...much to their dismay it ended with them unable to reproduce. I do not think that there is a group deviously thinking of evil that's messing up the world or that they are doing it intentionally out of an evil intent. I don't think that's the reason why there might be a NWO (New World Order) agenda. The New World Order agenda is Logical but it is not Compassionate. This is why I used the scene from I-Robot at the start of this blog. At the end of the day, humanity is becoming like Robots. Schools, churches, the news, and work all program us with belief systems that are not ours. We are expected to conform to the Majority of the Group. Taking a step back, looking at that programming and deciding what we want to do is one of the most important decisions in our lives...it's how we take back our humanity...which is our individuality. The Agenda 21 idea that David Icke talks about in this video (https://youtu.be/sPV-QNcY_Fw ) is logical. One cannot deny that if we were all robots maybe that would work... The problem is it's not compassionate and we are human. The Bigger Picture According to Scott Boyer Hiliary Clinton said on March 11 2014 that as Secretary of State her biggest accomplishment was: "...The remnants of prior situations and mindsets that were too narrowly focused in a manner whereby they may have overlooked the bigger picture and we didn't do that..." Now, this quote is not terrible. That's not a terrible idea, to be able to conceive and act on a bigger picture. This statement is being used to say that Hilary doesn't look at the details and she doesn't consider the little people. She isn't thinking about the civilians that might die in military confrontations that might achieve some 'bigger goal'. This is undoutedly true about all of the people in power that are looking at the "bigger picture," which is absolutely their job as elected leaders of the countries in this world. They are there to look at the big picture and represent their citizens in a way that benefits them...unless, you start to see only the Big Picture...then you can make a mindless logical choice (Benghazi)....oops! To balance out the Bigger Picture we must always consider the little people, the little details and value each every life whether soldier or civilian. Respect for human life and human individuality must be paramount. If it is discovered that someone in government has put aside these two areas of great importance...it is clear they are not fit to be leaders because they do not best represent and protect the people as they have sworn. When you start looking at the world stage in preference to the local community level you can lose sight of what's important. There are a couple of sources out there that say it's a false quote. Snopes, for example says that she is "unlikely" to have said that (I guess they didn't do their homework). I found the article where the quote comes from written on July 21st 2014 and that she did talk to reporters on that day...it is very "likely" that she did say that. Nice try Snopes (the informed public know that your a husband and wife team with no degree who pretty much write your opinion as though it's fact). HIliary Clinton, as Secretary of State, is a prime example of how Group Think works on an individual level. She should have acted to save the lives of the men in Benghazi, damn the consequences, but she didn't....and then she covered it up to get Obama re-elected. That is absolute fact. I challenge you to read the Select Committee on Benghazi 's report and say that it is not Ihttp://benghazi.house.gov/NewInfo). "We expect our government to make every effort to save the lives of Americans who serve in harms way. Politics were put ahead of the lives of Americans, and while the administration had made excuses and blamed the challenges posed by time and distance, the truth is that they did not try." - Rep. Mike Pompeo (Regarding the Benghazi Report) Group Think Group Think is defined as, "The practice of thinking or making group decisions in a way that discourages creativity or individual responsibility." Companies are trying to discourage Group Think as much as they can. However, it is hard to banish this concept. Disagreements are to be avoided at all costs, the employee that is difficult to manage will inevitably leave because the manager will not consider them for promotion. I once had a manager tell me, "There is no but. The only thing I want to hear you say is that you will get it done no matter what it takes." Even if 'it' isn't the best thing for the company or the customer. I might have wanted to suggest a better alternative that manager didn't want to hear it. He just wanted to be surrounded by people that did as they were told, said yes to everything and pretty much kept in line. He wanted people to be mindless robots that he would input a command into and they would do it without reservation...even if it was unethical, even if it was bad business and even if it would ultimately harm him...because he had a short term vision and a desire for power...to him there was no other option. His mind was like a rock in which new ideas could not take root. Companies know that this is bad. Heck, I would even say that society know it's bad....that's why the Obama administration talks about transparency while conducting cloak in dagger missions around the world (for example the deal with Iraq- they lied when they were making negotiations, lied about the current government in Iraq as being moderate and it has been proven). Making an open door policy and a whistle blower safety program doesn't help that much. Making company policy, if it is not reinforced on the highest levels, doesn't ensure that it will happen. Just ask Snowden. Whistle blowers are not loved in our society. Here is a little video for you to watch, mind you I know that he misspelled disaster but otherwise the information is sound:
Conformity
Let's take a look at three experiments that demonstrate how Group Think works. We know that people are programmed to conform biologically and psychologically. Parents want their children to conform to the behaviors that they feel are acceptable. Peer pressure makes people feel that their opinions, even if they disagree, are wrong and they will change them (or appear to change them) because of the influence of the group. We are 'pack animals' and years of being dependent on the group working together to meet our needs has ensured that we do not want to be cast out from a group because in previous generations such a person would surely die. Stanford Prison Experiment In 1971 there was an experiment conducted by Stanford. All of the people who participated volunteered. Some were randomly assigned as Guards and some were assigned as Prisoners. The end result is that even though these people knew that they were supposed to be pretending to be these roles....they changed. The Guards were mean, even beat the prisoners- even though they knew that the prisoners were just students acting like themselves! The experiment became so out of control that it was shut down from the outside. Some of the kids that were prisoners said that their lives were ruined after the experiment because it was so traumatic for them. These kids knew that they were in an experiment so why did they behave this way? Turns out it had a lot to do with peer pressure and Group Think. When the Guards put on their uniforms and glasses...they became something else. When the prisoners put on their prison uniforms...they became prisoners. Uniforms alone can completely dehumanize a person...removing names and calling people numbers dehumanizes them... Here is a video for a independent movie based on the experiment captures the essence of their findings:
The Milgram Experiment
In the Milgram Experiment, conducted in the 1960's. The subject of the experiment was told that they were to shock the other participant. They thought that it was a study on memory. They were told to read a series of numbers to the other person and when the other person got it wrong to shock them. Each time the person missed a question they were instructed by a member of the study to increase the amount of the shock. At one point the other person is screaming in pain and the people that were participating were expected to continue shocking them. Some people said no but the amount that continued to shock the other person simply because they were told to do so...despite the other person screaming...was horrifying. The truth was that the person answering the questions were actually actors. The machine the participant thought was shocking the person did absolutely nothing. This was a test to see how people reacted to authority. The scientist conducting the experiment wanted to see how far the participants would go when instructed to cause another person pain.
Asch Conformity Experiment
In this experiment the subject was the only person that was not an actor. The other people in the group were actors. This was performed because Asch was fascinated with how Hitler and the Nazis happened. What he discovered is that when three people in a group were in agreement the subject would deny his own senses and agree with the group. We are 'programmed' in such a way that we will go along with the group and deny our own personal truth just to conform.
Group Think In Academia
Group Think in Academia is very obvious when you look at the material that they produce and the students that are being produced by the colleges of the United States. There is a larger form of Group Think on a world scale but we're focusing on the United States. To get money for grants to do their studies scientists of all types including archaeologists have to convince their peers that what they are pursuing is worthwhile. Further, documents are peer reviewed and anything that doesn't conform with Darwinian Theory is cast out. There is a documentary and a book called Forbidden Archaeology that I'll put here that really captures what is happening in Academia and how any scientists that go outside of then norm are ostracized.
Group Think In Politics
This one is a bit obvious with the two party system. Anyone who votes for a candidate simply based on a party designation is participating in Group Think. In a two party system where you stick to only one political "platform" there is not much freedom of choice. Even if we did introduce other platforms it might be the same but it would just be smaller percentages devoted to their favorite 'team' without rhyme or reason or individual thought involved. Further, in both parties there are entrenched members who act as the directors. They are the ones that approve of the newer members and kind of dictate how policy should be formed for that party. The political parties have changed slightly. There were the Federalists and Democrats prior to the Civil War. After the Civil War there were the Republicans, founded by Abraham Lincoln, and the Democrats (largely southern states who were pro-slavery during the war). Currently, the Democrats are portrayed as the group that is pro-minorities, represent many religions and socialist policies. The Republican party, on the other hand, are now known as portrayed as largely white, extremely christian, and conservative party. Thankfully, there are more and more independent voters who don't ascribe to either party. They are not stuck in the Group Think mentality. Hopefully, this trend continues and the two parties fall away completely.
Group Think In Religion
Now here is where I will really offend people. That's okay. I can share all of this and at the same time say that I have full faith in Yeshua. However, I encourage looking at situations from multiple perspectives...because each of those perspectives can be correct. I can have faith that God's Word remained uncorrupted in its message and deeper mysteries were intact even while believing that man has undoubtedly influenced it. Some might say this is a contradiction but on a much higher perspective, if The Great Spirit knows all that is going to come to pass, that it would be interpreted and used to influence the thinking of the populace for the possibility of control, he could prepare for that occurrence. Religion has been used to make people conform to Group Think for centuries. The Roman Church very obviously used this to their advantage to create an Empire that controlled people's thinking. They didn't even allow people to think anything outside the religious perspective they promoted. The people who did not go along with this way of thinking were called witches or warlocks and burnt at the stake. All religious texts that were not in agreement were burned. For example, just think of all of the wisdom we lost in the Ancient Mayans that were destroyed when Spain conquered that area and wiped out their language to the point where the actual language was wiped out and had to be rediscovered. Further, the Roman Catholic Church absorbed any of those who were vehemently against them into their religion (making Goddesses Saints). So they pacified the current population knowing that by indoctrinating their children in the Roman Church's version of Christianity they would eventually control the children of the people they conquered. All it would take was a little bit of patience for one generation to die off and another to become the majority so they would have complete control over the populace that might initially secretly wish to revolt. The Catholic Church even went so far as not to allow people to read the bible for themselves because they could control the messages that they dispensed from the original source. Because if people could read the source themselves they might reach different conclusions than those that Rome wanted to use to control the populace. The books that Rome included in the New Testament were picked to create a passive patriarchal society. Pay you're taxes from Mark 12:17, " Then Jesus said to them, "Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God What is Gods." Don't fight back but turn the other cheek Matthew 5:39, "But I tell you do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also." Undoubtedly, the books they selected were chosen to squash individual thought and promote Group Think. Even worse are the newer churches that have broken away from the Roman Catholic Church. Being the child born of all the spiritual teachings that came before it the Roman Catholic Church could not help but retain some of the old knowledge and ways of the ancient cultures that existed before the time of Christ. Newer churches are so far removed from the "old mysteries" they cannot even conceive of those thoughts so the people in those groups are even harder to reach and stuck further in Group Think then those who belong to the Roman Catholic Church. They have undeniably built on the the information and teachings that the Roman Catholic Church originally taught but they have eliminated anything that does not agree with the currently acceptable books of the bible. Conclusion The Apathy of United States citizens lies in basic human tendencies to form cliques and conform to the behavior that other people desire. As the psychology indicates this is a very normal human drive. People will even suspend their own ability to discern truth when faced with a group situation. The institutions that we have in the United States are set up in such a way that Group Think is natural and reinforced. We do not consider ideas upon which there is not a group consensus. This obviously causes creativity to be stymied and limits the ability we have as a country to continue to be on the leading edge of innovation. Without imagination there will not be innovation. Animals in a stagnant pool of water eventually die. This apathy is not just limited to the United States. I believe it is a world wide issue but things are starting to change. The Britain Exit from the European Union is such a case because people went against the social pressure, and one of the biggest psychological triggers to make people conform- the accusation of racism and Xenophobia. Perhaps we will not become a undefined blob of people united by a group of leaders organized and appointed through trade treaties. However, as the Buddhists say, your mind is like a rock. Rocks cannot grow flowers. So, we must take the time to cultivate our minds, learn how our mind works, plow it and then the fruit of the spirit can take be planted and grow. Group Think turns the mind into a diamond bladed sword that will never be fertile. Instead, using our group consensus we use it to cut down others. We must be vigilant and not allow ourselves to be caught up in this way of thinking. Mass media encourages Group Think and so many of our institutions are built upon it. Group Think was called Ahriman by Rudolf Steiner. I won't go into all of this now but I do think that his idea has some merit. He may have interpreted it through a very old fashioned lens (way of thinking) but I do think that it is the spirit of Group Think that threatens this world far more than World War Three and goes against the spiritual development of individuality which is the reason why we exist. I am still exploring how to present this perspective which are reflected by many spiritual teachers and sources. We must cultivate our individuality, we must be that one person willing to stand up and say, "No," when everyone else is on their knees. Realize what Group Think is, name it, and realize it does not have power over you. Also, have faith. We know that we are on the edge of a Golden Age of humanity. That all of this that we are seeing is the start of the death throes of Group Think that was started with the Death of Yeshua (or possibly multiple "Jesus's" but that's a line of thinking I'm investigating). After all, Jesus says that he does not come in peace but a sword (Matthew 10:34) We could say that the sword of Jesus is separating those who choose the path of destruction and Group Think completely separating them to the Natural Order of the world (while claiming to protect it) and those who choose the Path of Individuality which is our spiritual purpose for incarnating on Earth so we may be companions to the Great Spirit.
