(Note: this is an unedited post)
There has been a lot of talk about income inequality recently. Economics in the United States are not simple but a very complicated system if studied from the Academic level. Simple answers probably won't solve the problems. The problem, from what I see, is that we abandoned having a completely Capitalist society sometime after the Great Depression. Subsequently, we've had a semi-socialist system with some people (qualifying as poor, disabled or elderly) receiving money from the government An entirely Capitalist society wouldn't have that but an entirely Socialist economy wouldn't allow for the diversity in businesses and companies that we once had in the United States (a good portion of the industrial and manufacturing components have gone to other countries). This has also played into proponents of Socialism as they can now say (in fact Bernie Sanders flat out did say it) that all of the horrors that Socialism were supposed to have brought occurred under Capitalisim. This pseudo-capitalist/socialist society process that Government has taken has been with the blessing of a majority of people who want government help. These people, as some say, vote for their incomes. In a competitive society where the morally incline often lose to the people who will give money to certain people/corporations it seems to be common practice and as one political student once told me, "The ends justify the means." While it's worrying enough that a lot of people are curiously leaning towards the idea of Capitalism despite the poor examples of what happens when a country goes that way (who in the US would trade living here for a life in Cuba or North Korea?)...it's interesting that corporations are not really mentioned. The truth is, corporations and businesses have been branded as bad guys for decades now. I, however, see corporations in a different light. I believe that the current way of doing business is wrong but only corporations are able to fix the economic mess by changing their policies. Further, consumers have more control over corporations then they realize and can 'vote' for corporations they believe in by being selective on what brands, stores and companies that they spend their money on. Corporations As The Bad Guy This idea emerged in the nineties. The big baddies of them all being the 'banks and oil cartels' as conspiracy theorists love to say. The general belief in the populace is that companies are greedy, exploit humans to make a profit, and exist only to reward their owners with millions at the expense of the common person. (Note: most people don't think of businesses/corporations from the economic viewpoint of the company existing to fulfill a need and that by an almost natural selection basis those that are not needed do not survive). This idea is further spurred by the Governments bail out of certain banks that were 'too big to fail.' Despite a significant amount of money being channeled to the banks the average consumer found that their bank accounts were suddenly more expensive and the charges increased. The consumer, in effect, paid twice to save financial institutions that should have failed in a Capitalist system. The result is that most people view huge corporations the same way they view the government. (I will just call them the 'Difficult Customers' from here on out) Corporations are faceless creatures to be exhorted, taken advantage of and cheated because they have endless money and can 'absorb' losses. These people, in their mind, honestly don't connect that stealing from a company is going to hurt the employees of the company. By cheating the company in some way they feel that they are standing up against 'The Man.' This attitude spans all of the races and classes. Even people with a lot of money to spend with their black credit cards try to get a 'better deal' out of frontline customer service employees. The employees are also bitter and feel that corporations take advantage of them. Just take a look at fast food workers. Assigned a number and required uniforms that make them appear like everyone else they are essentially robbed of their identity at work. Add to that the concept that 'The Customer is always right' thought process coupled with 'An employee must protect the companies assets' and you have a very conflicted message sent to the employee. While attempting to fulfill their duty to ensure their paycheck they must act as subservient robots experiencing only joy...even when the customer lies or makes false allegations in an attempt to receive free compensation. Take for example a Taco Bell manager in the news recently. He dropped off his car for repairs and was upset when two of the dealership employees wound up in this drive through in his vehicle when taking it on a test drive. First, the employees were exploiting their company policy of test drives to buy lunch...which resulted in their termination. Second, despite being given hundred of dollars of repairs to his car for free the Taco Bell manager whined to the News despite the fact he ruined two employees lives by having them fired and getting free car repairs at the expense of the dealership. (NOTE:, Is it me or does it seem that Fast Food Workers are the most disgruntled and unhappy individuals getting the most attention in media?) New York Stock Exchange I'm not a huge fan of the New York Stock Exchange. I have stocks in companies, it's true, but they aren't worth much. The average joe will not make a fortune on the Stock Exchange. Not to mention, and as the Wolf of Wall Street suggests, it takes a certain amount evil for people to work in that environment successfully. The Stock Exchange system appears to benefit only the rich, who have a lot of money to invest already, and doesn't benefit that average consumer or low income stockholders (that can't afford a controlling portion of the stock to have a sya in the companies direction). To think that owning a small portion of a companies stock makes you an owner or partner is nonsense. The sense can be given to the employees that by having stocks in the company they are partial owners and the illusion that by ensuring the company prospers they prosper but it's not the reality. No one will notice if they sell their stocks unless it's done en masse. Companies go onto the New York Stock Exchange to grow revenue they can then invest in expanding the company. This can be a major boon for the company providing them with a lot of money and spring boarding them into a world market. The problem is, most companies never leave the New York Stock Exchange and become held in a position where they must constantly increase the profit of their shareholders (profit that could instead go to compensating employees). Further, the concept that companies can grow forever is simply illogical. While the need to innovate is important...constantly growing profits for investors is not something that is going to be feasible forever. Eventually, a company will hit it's maximum amount of profit. Companies constantly raise prices. If women had not gone out into the workforce along with their husbands forming two family incomes it's doubtful that the continuous trend of raising prices would have worked. However, in order to live a life style equal to their parents (albeit with a few more electrical items that are helpful) two people must work. The result is two incomes equal the same life style one person with a skilled income could afford a generation ago. Companies, meanwhile, haven't skipped a beat in raking in as much profit as possible. The companies that are able to increase their profit (some aiming for 100%) are praised by the media and people in general as a success. Companies that do not grow to be household names are not considered complete successes. This, I believe, is the reason for the 'income inequality' we see in the United States more then anything else. A combination of companies ever seeking to push profits higher and people willingly figuring out ways to pay those higher prices. There should be a point where companies go off of the New York Stock Exchange. The owners should realize they have enough capital to live comfortably and give a legacy to their kids. That companies have reached their potential. The money that was going to stock holders then could be redirected to employees. This, however, only rarely happens. Raising Minimum Wage Doesn't Work Companies exist to make a profit (at the very least to allow the owners to make enough money that they can take home a paycheck). To make that profit they must take in more money then they spend on basic costs (employees, facilities, etc.) This is just a basic concept and the most simple. When the minimum wage rises prices rise because every company has some sort of minimum wage worker on their most basic level of operations. To give those people, often the largest amount of workers, an increase in pay the money has to come from somewhere and still leave the company with a profit of some kind. Naturally, prices go up. Sadly, for the workers that are not minimum wage, wages do not go up to compensate. Instead, they find themselves in the lower income brackets. Neither does the tax code recognize that the disparity between minimum wage workers and those who make a little more then them shrinking. Therefore, the minimum wage workers go into a higher tax bracket and despite costs going up along with no increase in pay the middle class is taxed the same amount leaving them with less money. Add into the mix Stockholders demanding even more profit from the previous year from a smaller amount of revenue and of course you're not going to see the Middle Class income being adjusted to compensate. Instead, if anything, Middle Class wages will go down because now the company can't afford the same amount of hours that they could before or the amount of employees they had before the Minimum Wage Increase. Clearly, when looking at the system with a logical eye (and no tolerance of dogma or rhetoric from Academics) we can see why the Middle Class continues to diminish in this country. Conclusion While this essay indicates that the poor economy of the United States is mostly due to a New York Stock Exchange Corporate Policy and mishandling by the Government in the form of raising minimum wage....there is a way to fix the problem. The 'cure' doesn't involve government at all. The government, really, should be more concerned with fixing their tremendously complex nightmare inducing tax code then 'fixing wages'. The solution comes from consumers. Consumers can put pressure on the corporations with their buying power. All it would take would be a little knowledge. In my next blog I will go over my idea for this solution, how it works, how it empowers people, and how the people of this government can save themselves instead of looking to socialism or the government to save them. After all, in the history of this world when people look to their government for leaders with radical ideas that will take them out of economic downturns tyrants are the ones who usually feel the need to step up to the plate.

In this post, I'm just going to explore the topic of an original source belief system hidden within stories of current religions that might have begun around the end of the last Ice Age (although, they are now calling it the Last Glacial Period because technically we are still within an Ice Age).
I'm not going to go into detail regarding this but will touch on what appears to be the historical story outlined by Laird Scranton if we follow linguistic and symbolic concepts back to their source. Civilization mysteriously began to come about around the time of the last Ice Age (actually, they are now calling it the Last Glacial Period) of 12,000 years ago. Wooly Mammoths were still walking the earth in those days and a mysterious place called Gobekli Tepe, the first known temple, was created approximately 11,500 years ago (http://anthropology.net/2010/02/22/gobekli-tepe-temple-in-turkey-predates-the-pyramids-of-giza/). Archaeologists suggest that Gobekli Tepe implies a spiritual belief system and a place of worship existed before people settled down into cities. The idea suggests that a belief system might have given rise to the domestication of animals, stone architecture and the cultivation of grains. Strangely, the people who worshipped at the site mysteriously buried it as though to preserve it for future generations. Laird Scranton suggests that the belief system appeared in a full form that related not just spiritual concepts of how to live in a community but also details regarding the microscopic elements that create life as well as the scientific concepts that hold sway over the cosmos. Certain traditions, such as the Dogon, the pre-Hindu Sakti Cult of Orissa, Egyptian, Buddhist, and ancient Chinese concepts preserved this knowledge symbolically and linguistically. Further, select groups in each culture that were given this knowledge that was passed down in secret throughout the ages. At the core of this mystery is the concept of the creation of this universe. There is an indication that just as many religions suggest that this universe is flawed due to 'a breach in cosmic order' during to its creation involving the eighth stage arriving before the seventh (Laird suggests that the Original Sin of Eve might be a metaphorical representation of this). This notion has also been suggested by the Gnostic movement, that appeared around the time of Yeshua/Jesus, in more recent times. Jewish Kabbalists also recognize this and believe that through observing ten holy days at the start of the new year will fix this cosmic mistake. There is also the suggestion that the reason for the secrecy regarding these concepts was that their was a second group that opposed to the belief system. This, it is suggested, is why Gobekli Tepe was carefully buried for preservation. If all of the religions of the world have the same cosmological origin. If the Mountain Top Temples throughout the world and the origin of Mt. Olympos and perhaps even Mt. Sinai as a place where people meet with 'God' why do we have so much confusion? Why don't we speak a single spiritual language that would unite humanity? Why are there no remains of a nearby city if these people were practicing building architecture? Curiously, the reason for the secrecy might lie in the Sumerian Tablets and the story of the Annunaki. The Annunaki were said to have left Earth during the end of the last Ice Age, when Gobekli Tepe was built. Curiously, this stage of the human story is not covered in the Bible or Sumerian texts. If we consider that the Deluge or Great Flood recorded in the Bible occurred at the end of the last Ice Age and was not actually a storm but the waters rising as the glaciers melted it is possible that there is a story that tells of humankind attempting to build a city. If we consider the Old Testament as a retelling of familiar oral traditions it is possible that we can see what happened. The lessons taught by this group could be considered a cosmic language. In fact, a competing origin story written on an ancient stone tablet (some consider it the source of Genesis because of the similarities) called the Enuma Elish (Sumerian) was also found in Turkey. In the bible, the story of the Tower of Babel suggests that the Hunter Gathers had settled on a plane and began to set up civilization. They began to build a Tower. The Lord, seeing this, said: "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other." (Genesis 11:6-7). The Hebrew word Babel sounds like the word 'confused'. Here we have to understand that the Hebrew language is far more complex then English. There were many different layers of meaning given to each word. Therefore, confused and Babel can be one word and the students of the original ancient Hebrew script knew to apply both meanings. In this way, the student could derive even more information out of each line in the Bible then we can conceive/perceive when it is translated into English. This also can confuse translation. In English we use the term, "What are you babbling about?" when someone talks in a way that is excited but not understood. The tower of Babel is the probable origin of this saying. This implies that it is possible that a group that did not originate from Earth intervened and taught us a cosmology that led us to begin building architecture, domesticate animals, and cultivate grains....then ensured that their presence would be hidden and kept secret...the secret was kept until now. Also, it is confirmed by a second source, within the Bible, that a second group discovered the sudden emergence of a unified mankind and sought to confuse it scattering the people. This would explain why civilization did not immediately spring into existence after the knowledge was given. or that there are multimple gods(Please note, this is an unedited rough draft).
I am not someone who really goes with either the idea of a central God who created humanity in it's image. I most certainly never entertained the notion of a Goddess. I always thought of the Goddess religion as being more of a product of the Feminist movement (a movement that I do not support because any time another group is slandered-men- in order to feel validated it is not beneficial to humanity). Raised as a Christian I do believe that Christ lived and was crucified. I dedicated several years as a teenager to reading the entire bible and studying what the 'authorities' on the bible had to say about the 'Word of God'. Strangely, it is the Bible that inspired my imagination when writing my fantasy series Merosis. The concept of Ancient Days that humanity has forgotten and secret knowledge only a select knew comes from Biblical references. However, I have fundamental conflicts with the core dogma of that religion. I believe that, for the most part, as soon as Yeshua died what he taught was changed to suit the needs/views of his disciples who interpreted his teachings in different ways. Further, in other points in history the story of Jesus was rewritten so often and the dogma reinterpreted so many times that Jesus probably wouldn't recognize the lessons taught in churches today. In fact, if he introduced himself to the clergy they wouldn't recognize him. Many don't know that the name 'Jesus' isn't Jewish and therefore is not the name of the 'Lord' they claim to follow. Based on the oldest known manuscripts of the New Testament his name was Yeshua which is a variant of Joshua. Nevertheless, a Patriarchal (that is male oriented) religion is taught throughout the world. Buddha, Muhammad, Yeshua/Jesus, Siva of the Hindu religion or even Ganesh...all of these are male oriented religions. When organized religion arrived it came packaged in a male form of a creator. One of the more tantalizing tales that speak to a feminine religion is that of Marion Zimmer Bradley's take on King Arthur that started with the Mists of Avalon. There, it shows the Goddess religion practiced by hunter/gatherers was replaced by the the Christian Religion. Literally, the Isle of Avalon (of the Goddess) fades into another dimension (much like Tolkiens Elves) and becomes replaced by a Catholic Abbey. However, I never really entertained the idea that a Goddess religion could be anything but the ideas of a barbaric society. Christianity, after all, has always been purported as being a civilizing method that ended Paganism that was founded upon outdated superstition. However, Marion Zimmer Bradley might have hit upon a hidden deeper truth (which is why her books became so insanely popular spawning several sequels that never quite lived up to Mists). The Annunaki The bible, when I read it, particularly the Old Testament with it's animal sacrifices and bi-polar humanized God, left me with a lot more questions then answers. Further, the treatment of Lot where God and Lucifer are testing him and debating whether or not man was good challenged the way I viewed the Devil/Satan/Lucifer. God seemed to be having a casual conversation with an equal. Later I would discover that the Devil as we know him in popular culture today was largely created based on interpretations of the New Testament and 'Pagan' religions (mostly Revelation which was not based on the teachings of Jesus) and that there is not a equivalent word for 'devil' in old Hebrew. Then I ran across Zechriah Stitchin's work regarding the Annunaki. Within the same Sumerian culture, the writing being the most ancient writing (the epic of Gilgamesh) there was the concept of Gods "that from Heaven to Earth came." Based on his reading of the texts Stitchin believed this pantheon of "gods" genetically engineered humanity as a slave race. Their antics, which were far too similar to the politics (and pantheon of Olympic Gods) revealed two factions- one that belonged to the Lord of the Seas (God of the Seas much like Poisiden- symbolized by a Snake) called Enkii and the Lord Commander of Land (Zeus? Symbolized by a Ram) the Enlil. There is even a Venus/Aphrodite type character named Inanna. Now, around 2012 the idea was sensationalized and people became fanatic about the concept thinking that the Annunaki home planet, Nibiru, would arrive and cause mass destruction to our planet or they would save us or...well, something. There is an entire subculture that has grown around the Annunaki Conspiracy idea that I don't find very important. Here, for the first time, I began to see repetitive symbols and an explanation, on a small level, for the reason we find the same symbols and concepts throughout many religions around the world and the bi-polar representation of God in the Old Testament. Instead of believing that this means all religions/spiritual practices borrowed from each other there seemed to be an inherent underlying unifying story to these concepts. The Annunaki explained part of where the strange concept of religion and where the masculine concept of God but it certainly didn't explain all of it. Parts of the idea fit, but other parts did not. If you want to read more I recommend that you look up Stichin's books. I have the book End of Days. Curiously, despite his interpretations of Sumerin text Stitchin held to his belief in Christianity. He even seemed to imply that Yeshua had something to do with the last passing/intervention of the Annunaki. All Religions As One Religion Now, here is a concept that angers every person who clings to a specific religious dogma as a form of 'salvation'. Of course, to look at religion and spiritual beliefs in general with a logical eye opinion as to what is 'right and wrong' must be suspended. Indeed, a lot of students of comparative religion ultimately give up religion when they see that so many different spiritual studies share specific ideas in common. The most sacred concept in Christianity, for example, is the Resurrection of Jesus/Yeshua. However, he's not the only religious character to have been killed and then raised from the dead. Osiris was recorded in Egyptian history as being killed by his brother and then being brought back to life by Isis. The Sumerian God Marduk was said to have been entombed in a pyramid and then freed...The Hindu God Ganesha is said to have been beheaded and then brought back to life with the Elephant Head. FreeMasons also appear to have a ceremony that puts the initiate through the steps of a 'resurrection' type event that, according to their legend, happened to HIram Abiff whom they claim was the builder/engineer/architect of the pyramids. (Note: groups associated with Egypt in particular and the pyramids seem to be involved in this resurrection topic). The concept of a murdered god brought back to life is a repetitive one. As is the symbol of the snake. The concept that the Gods dwell on a mountain top (Olympus for example) is also repeated throughout many religions around the world. Point of Origin- Gobekli Tepe Then I stumbled across the work of Laird Scanton, a linguist, who began researching what was once a remote tribe called the Dogon in Africa based on 1950's work of researchers who preserved their tradition. The tribe is now largely Muslim thanks to the pervasive brutality and enforcement of that religion in that area of the world. Scranton was able to correlate the ancient words of that group with Egyptian words/hieroglyphs, and concepts that were shared by Buddhism, Chinese Religion, and Hinduism. What he found was an underlying theme of root words and concepts that, thanks to the sacred preserved teaching of the Dogon in the 1950's, traces what seems to be a civilizing course taught to humans to help them re-establish civilization at the end of the Ice Age. If you want to read the entire scope of the fascinating work he has done I suggest you read Point of Origin by Laird Scranton as I will not be doing an exhaustive overview. There is far too much in that book for me to analyze it in one essay nor do I feel I have the authority or right to do so. However, at this point and for the reason of this particular blog I will skip to what Laird Scranton had the hardest time digesting. His research indicates that there was a non-human group that taught selected people from different indigenous Hunter Gatherer groups at the end of the Ice Age at Gobekli Tepe. The matrix of information they taught were symbols, associated with animals, that had several different meanings as the initiates ascended the different stages of learning (which is reminiscent of Free Masons). Further, he believes that the intentional burying of Gobekli Tepe and secretive nature of this information indicates that this group of non-humans were hiding their interaction with humans from a second group. The Wes Penre Papers Another source of information I came across was/is called the Wes Penre Papers. Within these papers the author (Wes Penre) seeks to form a cohesion among various concepts I consider New Age. Various beliefs in certain alien life forms (the Grays, etc) accepted by UFO believers/abductees, the Annunaki, the Hindu Gods (currently the most popular to dissect and reinterpret as proof of alien visitation within this crowd) and information I had not come across. In it he expressed, as all new agers seem to do at some point, the belief that the feminine principal (a.k.a. Goddess) was supplanted by the oppressive Patriarchal religions of our day. He seems to suggest that there are two groups- based out of Orion and Sirius- that are battling for our planet. The Sirius regime are Patriarchs in nature and the Orion are Matriarchs. I only mention this because it is intriguing that two sources that I have read while pursuing my hobby of studying spirituality have come to the conclusion that two groups with two different spiritual concepts influenced/taught humanity in the past. While the Wes Penre papers require a leap of the imagination in order to read them they are curious and paint a very interesting interpretation and synthesis of the New Age movement. Conclusion There are themes and symbols repeated throughout ancient religions and spiritual practices that even a novice can see. However, it seems that at the core of these repetitious symbols and stories there is a Point of Origin. This Original Story, retold and reinterpreted and perhaps even repeated throughout the ages has sunk so deeply into our human collective psyche that Joseph Campbell (who aided in creating Star Wars) studied it throughout his life and psychologist Carl Jung believed it could reveal/heal a person's individual psyche. Understanding what the thread of this underlying story that humanity has been retelling to itself for centuries is important in the development/creation of a new story. Why do I think it's important that this chapter/story is closed and a new one opened? Well, after so many centuries of retelling/rereading the same story isn't it getting a little old? Isn't it time we breathed new life into humanity by consciously reinterpreting/understanding the old story and changing what we don't like into something new? If there is information known by a select few about this story isn't it time everyone understand it? The old story has served its purpose. Society/Civilization has been established. There is no need to destroy civilization again (how many times does one planet and species want to go through such an experience?). Now it's time to understand that ancient story and move on. Curiously, that old story might involve the feminine principal/the Goddess that I really haven't considered. Marion Zimmer Bradley might have been correct. I will go into the concept of how the Goddess was transformed into Mary...and the hints of the original story of the "Mother Goddess". There are a lot of movements going on right now.
The strange thing, pointed out by Betty White, is that it's largely an 'anti' movement. This distinction is very important. These aren't positive movements. When you're 'anti' something that means that you are directly in opposition to someone else. These groups aren't educational or healing. Instead, these movements are divisive. The United States at this time is like Humpty Dumpty...we're so divided as a people, so separated from one another that we don't see ourselves as one nation or one people. Instead, it's become a race to say that we are oppressed by someone else: bullies, religiously, corporations, government, other races, police, military etc. The reason for these movements might be a response to the realization that a lot of 'charity' organizations are not having an effect. When donating money to a charity you assume the money will go to someone in need. However, often times the money goes to the administration of the 'charity' and very little reaches the people. We've seen this with the various charity responses to natural disasters where millions were donated but if you go to the places affected which you would assume would be rebuilt they are in the same condition as before while the C.E.O.'s received a bonus or raise. Naurally, the disillusion with the 'charity' system is probably contributing to the 'anti' movements. Strangely, my generation, known as the Millennials, were told by the educational system that we were going to change things. We grew up with things like Earth Day. We were taught not to expect Social Security to be there for us, or in other words to no expect the government to support us. We were told that we needed to change the world because the way things are isn't sustainable but the previous generations were not able to find the answers. That's a terrible burden for any generation and very dangerous. In addition to being told that we are the future and that we have to find the answers we were also told that we needed to join groups. If you weren't part of a particular group you were not following the program and there would be interventions along with dire warnings of future repercussions. I experienced this firsthand because I never joined groups. Again, joining groups in a way that is positive, a think tank that offers solutions and enacts change in a positive way is a wonderful thing. However, these 'anti' movements do not provide solutions. Instead, it breeds hopelessness, helplessness, and opposition. People, when they believe they are being oppressed with no other solution, will act out in dangerous ways such as Christopher Dorner or Dylann Roof. Sadly, while many people believe that by joining or supporting these 'movements' which tend to rise up in a wave, come to a peak and then fade away quickly in society's perception, they are doing good it is not. Even worse, the internet is obviously feeding into the problem. Mentally unstable people with negative agenda's can act out in a way that will lead to other people joining them. Worse, these people can actually present themselves in a way that convinces others that they are trying to do good. The only way not to be drawn into these movements or be affected by them is to have discernment. Movements or groups that are not into finding a peaceful solution to the problem that does not punish anyone severely is a must. Charities have proven they don't help. Movements have proven they don't help. When you look to other people to change things people naturally take advantage of the situation to benefit themselves. The typical human reaction of, “What's in it for me?” For people who feel the need to 'change the world' the best way is on an individual level and not a group movement. Being kind to others, recognizing the vulnerable human being in every person you meet, and not being a oppressor is the only way to really cause change. I'm not promoting a 'love' and 'light' agenda. This is called common human respect and decency. Putting aside the negative urge to go out into the world feeling as though other one is opposing us, holding us back or holding us down. Every time we go out into the world in a fighting style with the idea, “What is in this for me,” “What can I do to turn this to my advantage,” or “How can I use this other person to benefit myself,” or, “I must protect myself,” only reinforces this idea of oppression. I covered in my blog the fact that Psychology has proven the Self-Fulfilling Prophecy. Every time you go out into the world with a preconceived notion (I will be oppressed, everyone is out to get me) on a subconscious level you create the situation. You will be attracted to the people that will act out your expectations and your behavior will trigger the response that you are expecting/fear the most. People who would not normally react that way will sense the fear and respond to it with their own. To be compassionate and rise above the negativity is hard. The experience is unprecedented in our society that is self-serving philosophy, “What's in it for me?” I believe the 'anti' movement comes from the desire to be compassionate. However, it's a very twisted approach to compassion and has the opposite effect because it is based on fear. Fear of others produces even more fear and to people who are sensitive to that emotion it leads to terrible events. That's why the 'anti' movement is not a good thing. Perhaps the people introducing these ideas think that they are doing something good, standing up for someone that cannot stand up for themselves, but the majority of the people are just showing empty support on Facebook making it look like a movement. Yet, the majority of the people on Facebook will share 'support' but won't contribute to a solution but use it to reinforce their own fear and belief they are oppressed. Don't buy into that idea of oppression or fear. Don't support the 'anti' movement fad. Spend your conscious energy on showing compassion to each person you meet. Ask each person, the bank clerk, the cashier at your local grocery store, your waitress, the person standing next to you in line at the store... “How are you doing today?” Then listen to what they have to say. This simple act will bring a lot more love, joy and compassion into this world by showing you care about a random stranger then any 'anti' movement. |
