The North is a paradoxical place where we welcome the Winter while preparing for rebirth and it is the element Earth. In the cycle of the life this is our elderly years.
The animal of this direction reveals a lot about this avenue of the Medicine Wheel. Buffalo is the animal of the great 'give away' meaning that it sacrifices itself for others. As Kathy Callahan points out buffalo place their young at the center of the herd so that when predators attack them it is the elderly that willingly lay down their lives to ensure the herd continues. In some traditions it was the White Buffalo Woman who gave Native Americans the pipe during a very troubling time. This is the place of the Elders and the Hermit where we are expected to teach all that we know to future generations. There is no point in earning knowledge if we don't pass it on to others to the betterment of all humanity. The Clan of this direction is the Turtle Clan which Sun Bear describes this way: “..the Turtle clan is the most dense, stable, and slow moving of the elemental clans.” pg 27 At the same time, the first time we walk the Path of the Medicine Wheel when we are working on a project or going through a phase of life such as a job we build a foundation we can apply to future cycles on the Wheel (this applies to Reincarnation as well if you want to look at the very big picture). Jamie Sams explains the skills gained this way: “The four basic skills that form spiritual foundations are: (1) focusing on positive thoughts without judgement, (2) taking a time of silence or prayer, (3) having an attitude of gratitude and counting our blessings, (4) recalling our energy from activity, thought, or feeling that feeds shadow behaviors and reinvesting our life force in positive viewpoints.” pg. 135 We also reach a very interesting point in our journey that Jamie Sams calls “Going beyond the explainable and remembering,” (pg 150). She does an awesome job of explaining this stage: “This turning point on the fourth path is an alignment with the brave heart of the warrior inside of us to continue the process of discovery. We make a conscious or unconscious decision at this point in our development that determines whether or not we will be able to tap into the life force required to experience the fifth through seventh paths.” pg 151 For many people the Path of the Medicine Wheel appears to end here with the fourth direction. Only those who are truly called will continue to walk the Path of the Medicine Wheel as we appear to leave behind the physical world and step into the Realm of Spirit. Jamie Sam's explains: “On a spiritual life, ife we do not polarize our thinking and are able to hold a neutral, unbiased view, we are allowed to view all possibilities, probabilities, and potential outcomes held within the DreamWeave....The door that leads to every nonphysical level of consciousnesses is our universe is opened when we consistently arrive at the neutral state of being with open hearts, loving life and others unconditionally.” pg 161 Sun Bear explains this direction: “...It is when seeds lie frozen within the earth that they take into themselves all of the earth's energy that allows them to grow in the seasons that follow.” pg 32 Kathy Callhan refers to this direction, “...a time of grounding and contemplation. It is a time of introspection, hidden growth and inner change.” pg 10 While we have reached the point in Creation where the cycle or project is complete the Seed of the new cycle is germinating under the surface. Perhaps we have a new idea already percolating within our mind or a new and improved update to what we have already created. In this way we start to prepare to take another turn on the four directions of the Medicine Wheel. We can continue to be fixated on physical material reality if we wish. The other option is to step to the center of the Medicine Wheel which we will cover in the next direction of the Medicine Wheel. Sources Callahan, Kathy. Ph.D. (2010). The Path Of The Medicene Wheel. I bought this moving sand kit for my daughters Easter gift this year. I have to say it's awesome. This is by far the set of toys that she plays with the most often. The tray for the sand is the best part of this kit. I cannot imagine playing with kinetic sand without it. The kit comes with sand, although there wasn't enough Sand. I bought a second bag of moving sand at the time I bought the kit. I also wish that the set came with a backpack to hold it. Luckily I found a different see through pouch with a handle to hold the toys. (There's something about pouches and backpacks, especially clear ones, that my toddler loves to beinf to me to open. Plus it keeps sets together.) The kit came with several sand castle molds, two car molds and a train mold, construction cars and signs.l along with a Lego cop figurine. Since my daughter is under two I didn't give her the smaller items but she did wonderfully with the bigger sand molds. Both of us have fun playing with this kit almost every day. This has been one of the highlights of our year! I highly recommend Kenlamis Moving Sand Kit! In the Western direction we encounter the Harvest and Emotional Maturity.
Sun Bear describes this level best: “When people reach this stage they have established themselves. They have a career, a profession, a family and a home. They are stable and responsible. They have reached a point where they are carrying on their backs not only the young ones- to whom they provide teaching, leadership and healing- but also the older ones, those who are no longer capable of caring for themselves as they once did...(it) is the time when you have the freedom and knowledge to be selfless and idealistic....(this) is the place to seek if you aspire to maturity.” Jamie Sams describes this as the place of Frog Medicine: “On the third path we embrace what we call Frog medicine in our Native American traditions. Frog teaches us to cleanse the old through clearing our thoughts, behaviors and feelings. Frog teaches us that shedding tears can be the first step of this cleansing transformation. The purification process represented by Frog Medicine is the ability to cleanse all that keeps us from healing and to refill ourselves with new energy, renewed purpose, and feelings and thoughts that support our intent to change. This two-step process of cleansing the old and refilling with the new will be present in every step that we take toward healing our lives on the third path.” pg 93 Sun Bear ties this direction to the Frog Clan as well: “...you learn about about the life giving aspects of yourself: about your own fluidity, your own ability to constantly change, your own ability to be bubbling and refreshing, and to let your heart guide your head...The Frog clan can teach you about the cleansing aspects of your being, such as those aspects that allow you to purge yourself of past hurts through the gift of tears.” pg 28 Here we also go a little bit deeper into Shadow Work as we work with our emotions. This is the point where we might experience hypersensitivity to others and situations. Emotional honesty is one of the greatest forms of mastery that exists. In the process of creation we are at the point where we are doing the detail work and finish touches on the cycle that we started in the East. These final touches can be as complicated or as simple as the process needs. All of my sources mention Bear when it comes to this direction of the Medicine Wheel. Bear has the knowledge to hibernate during the winter when it tunes into Spirit. Sun Bear describes bear as a problem solver Kathy L. Callahan describes Bear this way: “Bear is a totem animal of the West, the chief of the council of animals. When Bear is threatened he stands on two legs, like Man, and moves forward to meet danger head on. The lesson here is to face our problems rather than run from them. The lesson does not come from physical strength, however, but from inner spiritual strength...When Bear eats he uproots many plants. In the old medicine ways, roots have great healing power. This may be why Bear is often called Medicine bear, for he has the ability to heal himself.” We know from our other work that the element of Water involves the emotions just as all of the Sources for the Medicine Wheel agrees. Putting the final touches on a cycle of Creation can be very emotional because we've learned what does and does not work. Here we grieve for the seeds that did not bear fruit but we also let go of those unfruitful endeavors. Not everyone reaches this level of being because it does involve a form of mastery and it takes deep Shadow Work. Sources Callahan, Kathy. Ph.D. (2010). The Path Of The Medicene Wheel. (1991) Dancing With The Wheel What's your favorite snack? When I want the simple pleasure of comfort food my got to is Green Onion Dip with Ruffles. The Dip is the easiest one to make thanks to the little packet. You just pour the packet into the sour cream and it's done! The really funny thing is that I only like Ruffles with Green Onion dip. They're okay on their own if I have to eat them but that's a last resort. Well, we did a lot of cleaning and clearing in the last two weeks.
Now, the New energy has stepped in and it's the Divine Masculine represented by the Shiva Lingum. The Shiva Lingum is a stone of fertility. I was instructed by a Hindu teacher to place them in the North East corner of my home. I have one upstairs and one downstairs. This is a particularly auspicious stone. These are sacred stones in the Hindu tradition that are harvested from the Narmada River that are harvested once a year. The rumor is that the stones are the result of a meteor impact. Either way, this is a very powerful symbol that suggests Divine Intervention. Somehow or other where we are is where we are meant to be and this is a time of fertility. While we might not see the results right away there is a higher purpose behind events that are happening. The Southern direction of the Medicine Wheel is one of fire and explosive growth that occurs during the course of a summer.
Sun Bear describes this as: “The plant that poked its head through the soil and began to grow during the time of Wabun now needs to leaf outs fully, flower, fruit, bear its seed, and prepare for the time of harvest...we begin a more directed form of exploration. The South is the place where many people seek their visions and ask the Creator to point them in the direction they should go. Often after the Creator has made the direction known, people have to follow it so rapidly that they must learn to trust the Creator and not question their path...the paradox...is that while all this open, outward, energetic activity is taking place while we are learning to rust life and follow our own life path, the old trickster, the coyote is prepared to do whatever he needs to in order to make us grow inwardly as well.” pg 35 The Southern direction is a place of active growth and discernment. Jamie Sams describes it this way: “...We must face one of the most profound challenges on the second path; embodying the form of spiritual warriors and having the courage to face our internal weakness and free ourselves from habits, ideas, and emotions that belong to the past. Every time we go beyond a former limitation we free some energy, which heightens our perception and shows us that the magic of life is stillthere, even though we had become blind to it. The rewards that seem like acts of divine intervention urge us to continue moving forward. Yes, some people get frightened along the way, but the South Direction requires us to have fain in the process and in divinely orchestrated instances of magical or unexplainable moments.” pg 70 The Clan of the Southern direction is the Thunderbirds that Sun Bear describe this way: “The Thunderbird clan is a clan of vitality and a clan of transformation. Fire can help humans or destroy them. Fire changes whatever it touches by reduction to base components...The Thunderbird can bring the life-giving rain or the lightning that destroys a forest or a home with one bolt. The fire can bring life-giving warmth or destruction. The volcano can build new parts onto the earth, or it can destroy things that already exist.” pg 29 Kathy Callahan describes it this way: “...The South is a time of understanding and manifestation...the present- what you are doing in the “now.” It can be though of as a time when the young plant that sprouted from the buried seed reaches toward the sky.” Jamie Sams and Sun Bear both point to the fact that we have to be aware of what we are growing in our garden. At this point on the Medicine Wheel, especially when we are not aware of what we are doing, we allow plants of all kinds to grow in the garden of our lives. This is where we start to learn what the different seeds that we have sown produce. As we work this direction on the Path of the Medicine Wheel we start to develop discernment. For Manifestation to work properly we have know the results of what we are undertaking. We learn that we prefer to add a secret ingredients of honey and red pepper juice to our spaghetti sauce because we learn that we like it sweet and hot. We may also discover that we can't leave out the extra clove a garlic that we didn't absolutely think we need. The Southern direction is a time of experimentation and it may take a few turns of the Wheel before we start to plant only the seeds that we want to grow. We can even start to have an introduction to Shadow Work which Jamie Sams describes this way: “In the Mayan tradition, the Great Smoking Mirror is a symbol of how life reflects our belief systems and all that we hold internally as being truth. The smoke that wafts in front of the mirror is made up of the illusions we have created through ideas of separations contained in our beliefs. This list of illusions that we have bough into through media ad campaigns, group beliefs, rumors and gossip, the judgements of others towards us, and our own need to be liked or admired is staggering. On the second path, we are asked to begin to see these illusions and to call our energy back from being invested in those illusions in order to free ours spirits from the burden of carrying such limiting beliefs.” pg 80 The animal of this direction is Cougar according to Kathy L Callahan and one of the key words she uses to describe Mountain Lion are passion, strength and vitality. This level is associated with later childhood and adolescence. At that point we have an idea of how things work but we're very much in a stage of experimentation. For some, they may burn quickly through their vitality. Others will develop slowly. Either way, its when we return to this direction on the Medicine Wheel that we are a little wiser in our experiments because we start to recognize what we receive when we set intentions. This ties in perfectly with Seperation that exists on the same level on the level of Alchemy. Calcination happens in the first stage leaving behind the ashes and it is only when we've reduced things down to ashes by doing Shadow Work that we can start to discern which programming (called conditioning in Psychology) is inhibiting our manifestation potential. We also loearn that we are responsible for our lives because we realize that we are co-creating our reality with the Great Spirit. We can't point fingers at anyone but the person in that smoky mirror. Sources Callahan, Kathy. Ph.D. (2010). The Path Of The Medicene Wheel. Trafford Publishing. Sams, Jamie. Yet, current events provoked a mediation. What we are seeing now is a battle of Beliefs and Ideas that started with the Spiritual Awakening all the way back in 2005. To understand what is happening and why things are changing we have to understand when and how the Great Awakening became political. The first thing I want to bring up is that according to astrologer Steve Judd January, and specifically the second and third weeks, are going to be the worst of the year from an astrological perspective. So, we're in the thick of this crazy difficult energy. As I mentioned in my New Moon In Capricorn video now that we are a little further into this year I consider it the Year Of The Disenfranchised. The word Vilnian is subjective and dualistic. From the point of view of the Empire the Rebel is a Villain. From the perspective of the Rebel the Empire is the Villain. The key take away from that meditation and YouTube video is that we were going to start seeing things from a New Perspective. That's where this can be confusing...and it's best to step out of that dualistic point of view of categorizing people as "good or evil". I'm not going to go into who's right or wrong. I'm just going to show the underlying movement by all of the disenfranchised to change our government- and in particular how they are seeking to remove 'the Elite' or the 'the Establishment'. There is something urgently important about that last fact. The last time there were movements that sought to remove the Elite from the government was during the French Revolution. That is definitely not a historical event that we want to repeat in any form. So, there are some very important takeaways from looking at this evolution of discontent among the majority of the 'common public.' So, I want to explain how both the Red Pill group that splintered into the Q-Anon Group and the Woke Group came from the Spiritual Awakening. This is, ultimately, a Shadow Work Blog. In Shadow Work the moment you name something (an emotion or belief) and bring it into the Light Of Consciousness you can transform it. I know there will be some resistance in the Spiritual Community to really take a hard look at our responsibility. I'm writing this because I believe it's best to go into the roots of this situation to see what caused it...which is Disenfranchisement. I'm going to explain both groups based on my experience. I saw the Red Pill and Woke movement start. I don't consider myself a part of either movement. I have fundamental disagreements with both which I will address at the end because I believe it provides the solution. Started With The Iraq War When did people stop believing the Media and Government? We could say the Kennedy assassination but I think that just planted the seed. Bush Jr's election, 9/11 and The Iraq War really inspired the disenfranchisement we see today. The difference is absolutely the internet where the ideas could really spread. With the Kennedy Assassination books and documentary's had to pass through the approval of a group of people (the publishers and financers). Bush Jr's election was not normal. A lot of people believe that his brother in Florida stole the race for him. The tragedy of 9/11 provoked a desire for retaliation. The Media and Bush Jr used the fear to justify a War that no one wanted. Everyone agrees that Bush Jr lied about Iraq having Weapons of Mass Destruction. The reasons vary. The Media helped and even encouraged the President to go to war. They rode tanks to document the victorious moment naively believing that another country would welcome a hostile take over by the United States. Part of the Spiritual Awakening was 9/11 conspiracy theories. Many believe that our government allowed 9/11 so that we would go to war with Iraq. Now, I choose not to agree with that (I think it was a series of mistakes and that Bush Jr did manipulate the fear it caused to get what he wanted) but that so many do shows this is the moment that created massive amounts of people who are disenfranchised. This is the seed that led to to Woke and Red Pill movements. Both do not trust the government. The Elite The news show The Hill refers to the Elite a lot. This is a legitimate term that has entered mainstream culture that comes straight from the early days of the Spiritual Awakening Movement. This is the group that both the Red Pill and Woke movements are working to overthrow. Now the term elite in the Spiritual Awakening movement started off with the concept of the Anunnaki. I won't go into that right now, but it has to do with the Sumerian God El. The Elite is also referred to as the Patriarchy. There is this belief that the Patriarchy is a group of corrupt individuals-mostly white men- that conspire to rule the world. These are all of the rich people who keep getting richer and all of the entrenched political families. They are also the people who run the mainstream Media. Obama's Election The Great Awakening and distrust of the Patriarchy gave rise to President Obama. He originally campaigned as an outsider and that he would not be bought by lobbyists. He was a relatively young and unknown Senator. Voting for him was voting against the status quo. Unfortunately, he didn't deliver on his Campaign Promises and there wasn't much change. We remained and even expanded the wars in the Middle East. Finally, during his second term he welcomed lobbyists. In many ways his administration (aside from the color of his skin) was business as usual. The Red Pill Movement This is a reference to the Red Pill of Awakening in the Matrix. At some point it became associated with being Republican and voting for Trump. The people who voted for Trump were striking out at the Patriarchy just as they had when they voted for Obama. They thought, because he was not a politician, that he could be corrupted by the other politicians. Because he had his own money it was believed (and he promoted) that he would not be corrupted by lobbyists. In other words, he could not be bought. There are are a lot of similarities between Obama's and Trumps campaigns. Now, Q-anon split off from this group. They are the ones who still believe in Pizza Gate which is a Conspiracy Theory that started during the time when Hilary and Trump were running against one another. This mostly Christian group really truly believes that a Satanic group (Epstein being part of it) that uses human trafficking and satanic sacrifices runs the Patriarchy. They see gestures and other items such as a slice of pizza or the Masonic handshake...as confirmation and communication of the Satanic Cult that rules the world and that's trying to enact a New World Order. Somehow, they came to believe that Trump is a savior sent to fulfill the prophecies of Revelation in the bible and defeat this Satanic cult. They are the victims of two poisonous teachings- a belief in the battle of good vs evil (when everyone's world is really subjective and assigning what is 'good and evil' is actually a gray area) and a deep desire for The End Of The World (a form of escapism). They really believe that these are the days of the Second Coming. I really feel sorry for this group because they've fallen so deeply into poisonous paranoid beliefs. Pushing this group into the shadows through censorship will just confirm their beliefs making their faith in the fearful world they perceive more real. They really believe that they are the good guys fighting a big evil- not much different from what Osama Bin Laden believed when he planned the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Forcing them beneath the surface is a lot more dangerous then letting and countering them out in the open. The Woke Movement This is the largely accepted popular movement in society and it's associated with being Democrat. This absolutely started in the African American community (I'm no longer sure if that's the proper politically correct term but I can't keep up with PC culture). This initiated from a belief that a group of Elite White Men in secret societies rule the world. This was also the reclaiming of the African American society Spiritual Beliefs that were not Christian but for the lack of a better term "magical. " That was the initial start of the movement and where I first heard someone say the term "Woke" before it entered popular culture. This movement morphed as it was accepted by popular culture and became more political the spiritual. The first Group it extended to were women rebelling against the Male Patriarchy. That manifested itself primarily as the #MeToo movement. Then it extended to the non-straight community who rebelled against the Patriarchy. So, this became a movement of marginalized groups. The call has been for more diversity in the United States Government. They have been using the system to get into seats of power and remove the old Patriarchy. I agree with this because diversity is always a good thing. Since Trump was a rich white male he falls into that White Patriarchal Elite that the Woke group wants to remove. In fact, he is the epitome of the Patriarchy or Elite. He's a rich womanizer. According to this group he represents everything evil in this world. In a lot of ways the story among this group right now is that they succeeded in removing the evil patriarchal tyrant from office. My Thoughts On Both Neither of these groups really solidified until the past four years. They diverged from the same nebulous origin with Trump's presidency. Neither have "leaders" but arose from Group Think over the internet with the big Media companies encouraging them. So, they're really not something that can be "removed" or even "defeated." There are a lot of people in the Great Awakening that fall somewhere between these two extremes that I have described. Again, as I've pointed out both originated from a distrust of and feeling disempowered by the Patriarchy. One group vilified the Patriarchy as a Satanic Cult and the other the privileged White Male Elite. I considered both points of view at some point along my Path of the Seeker. I don't identify with either group. I come from a place of personal power. That power is derived from feeling spiritually filled within and can't be taken away by or influenced by any Earthly Group or Activity. I definitely fall more on the side of the "Woke" Group than the Red Pill group. I no longer consider myself even remotely Christian and I'm sick of the End of the World/Apocalypse scenario they truly believe they are in. At the same time I strongly believe in the Separation between Church and State so I don't really think it's appropriate for political figures to talk about God or their Spiritual beliefs when they're at work. Part of the divergence of both groups is the fact they became politicized. I have two fundamental issues with both groups: Vilifying Others and a Lack Of Compassion. Vilifying Others Both groups are vilifying others...and ironically each other based on political affiliation. Clearly, both believe they are vilifying the "Elite." The problem is that it's really hard to identify what that "Elite" is and it's clear that's how these two groups diverged. In particular, they solidified by aligning themselves to party politics and then turning against one another. One group has decided that the Republicans represent the Patriarchy and need to be wiped out. The other side believes all politicians and rich people are Satanic and need to be overthrown by an outsider with the Government restored to some previous state of being. Lack Of Compassion The "Woke" movement lost much of the Spiritual part of the Awakening as it became a political tool. I'm not sure the Red Pill movement was ever compassionate. That one was political from the start. I don't think movements that originate from disempowerment or paranoia can be compassionate. Building Compassion requires you to go deep within and do Shadow Work. You come to accept- not reject or rebel against- what lead to the illusion of Disempowerment. Instead of looking to others that have power or money as the Evil Elite Empire...it's realizing that they are just people too. They're doing the best they can with what they've got. They make mistakes but at the end they are just people. Trying to take what they have from them, that some of them rightfully earned because we're not just talking about the Old Money Group, whether it's through Socialist Policies (that don't work) or through Insurrection...either way it's wrong. We could look at money or power and see it as the root of corruption but that's not true either. We live in a Subjective Reality where people respond differently to stimulus- including money and power. If we look at why some people have power (symbolized by money in both these groups) and some people don't there are so many variables that it's not easily to identify. Again, this is a gray area. College Education is at an all time high but so are the amount of waiters and waitresses with college degrees because not everyone can be Middle or Upper Management.. .there will always need to be Frontline workers and they will always be the largest group. When degrees were scarce the people that had them had an edge over their uneducated fellows but now that everyone has one that doesn't exist. There have been people with Money and Power that undeniably were "Good Guys." The fundamental fallacy in both groups is that an outer "Bad Guy" exists. Yes, Trump absolutely looks like a bumbling idiot that was drunk on power who had a break with the commonly accepted subjective reality when he lost but ultimately he is just human. Two Timelines 3d/5d? I don't believe either group exists within 5D energy. Both exist within that polarized dualistic 3D reality and Timeline. We can tell that because they are still acting within the victim/perpetrator energy of the 3D. That's, again, because both groups exist in the dualistic Good vs Evil narrative. However, the door to 5D hasn't been shut yet. There are still many in both groups that can truly Spiritually Awaken Out Of Dualistic thinking to Compassion once they snap out of the Group Think that both represent. The next four years of a typical presidency is going to lead to disillusionment on both sides. Dreams Now, looking back at predictive dreams I've had I see a big picture. In fact I'm a little creeped out that I called this New Moon In Capricorn, "A Purging Energy," and indeed there was purge of all points of view that are not in agreement with the current democratic point of view by Big Tech companies. Even Ron Paul was temporarily blocked from posting on Facebook. I also had a predictive dream about that one. Either way, I didn't see Trump winning and I saw the "Woke" movements success. I didn't realize it at the time because I didn't understand the symbols and quite frankly it disagreed with my conscious decision. You see, I voted for Trump but I absolutely say after the events on Wednesday that he should never have the chance to be President again. I think it's important to note that the second impeachment against Trump was introduced the day Jupiter was conjunct Mercury conveying God's Will in the Kabbalistic Tradition. This shift of power holds the potential of great healing for the African American community and our nation...as long as it doesn't start persecuting the poor white people that have been characterized as Trump Supporters. An entire race of people that have been disenfranchised since the Civil War are feeling included in the Government. Further, on the Democratic side they are being lauded as hero's for over throwing a tyrannical racist president. While I don't necessarily agree with that narrative I think that is a healing and almost 'Wakanda' level moment (I love the movie Black Panther by the way). There is a chance where this really could shift to extend to all races- including the Red and Yellow Peoples- both of which I am a descendant (Cahuilla Indigenous American and Southeast Asia). I would love to see the Indigenous Star Nation represented at the United Nations fulfilling their prophecies for peace. The Framers of the constitution made sure our government is a slow process to prevent radical change. Radical change is painful and can lead to enough chaos it will destroy a nation. Ultimately, as I said before, the vast majority of people on both sides want change because the events surrounding the Iraq War caused the population to distrust the Government and the Media...the people they call the Elite. If it hadn't been for Trump these two groups wouldn't have solidified. In a way, that they did solidify changed everything. Now that we can see these different sides we can work with them. More importantly we can see what has motivated these deep ideological movements and address that in particular. Politics As Usual Ultimately, politics as usual is not going to fix the problem that the majority of people are disenfranchised. Unfortunately Biden ran on the promise of Politics As Usual or a "return to normalcy." I feel sorry for every politician that's in charge the next four years. The energy of the astrology suggests it's not going to be easy for any of them. Biden is very much in that Old School Classic group that I recognized in the energy of this year. He's that Saturn/Capricorn energy I was talking about. The Disenfranchised is very much the energy of Uranus/Aquarius. Just as the energy of this year has shown...the Disenfranchised perspective (that of the Villain) greatly outweighs that Classic Old School energy. So, Biden is certainly not going to have it easy this year. How To Heal The only real way to heal things is to go back to that root of disenfranchisement. To heal the relationship between the Media, government, and the ordinary citizen. If the Government recognized that most people feel disenfranchised and if Biden spoke to them as an entire Group...then there might be a chance to heal that rift. I'm not sure how a government heals the deep ideological wounds that lie at the heart of the unrest we saw in 2020 and at the start of 2021. As of right now it does not seem that we are on that path. Perhaps by 2023 we will see that recognition and real bi-partisan or non-partisan leadership from a president. Maybe the issue of the race and amount of money that a cannidate has in the bank won't determine who is a preefrable cannidate. One thing is certain- our Nation and Government are on the Path of Change. Conclusion Ultimately, all of this is going to lead to the individual realizing they always had power. We are, ultimately, our government. The fact that all of this is absolutely the manifestation of the Spiritual Awakening movement is fascinating. The Red Pill and Woke groups do live in entirely different universes. Maybe they are from two very different Timelines that are merging. Yet, there is that 3rd, middle 5D Path that speaks of Compassion. That wants this to be healed and for all people to feel empowered. In that reality, each of us live in our own individual Subjective Reality timeline that doesn't have to be touched by the events of the outer reality. As I said before, feeling empowered doesn't come from some sort of outside authority or earthly activity. Feeling Whole Complete and Empowered comes from the healing of the Shadow and finding Peace within. As I argue in my Peace On Earth video there is a group that have achieved that level of Compassion that has reached a Critical Mass. Ultimately, the Path of the Seeker leads to that personal responsibility and self-empowerment but it happens on the individual level of each person. I did some research before I bought a splash pad.
I highly recommend a splash pad over a plastic kiddie pool. I also highly recommend this particular splash pad because of it's size, it's design and it's well made. I thought of getting one of those super cheap plastic kiddie pools they offer at grocery stores and Home Depot every summer. However, storage with those is an issue and in one use, last time we bought one for our dogs, it was destroyed. I considered a blow up pool (which my husband bought) but while storage is nice on those the set up and amount of water is time consuming. I wouldn't want to leave it out in the sun for a long time. I figure long term sun exposure would cause it to deflate very quickly. Enter the splash pad. The splash pad has water and does get about two to three inches deep. That makes this pretty safe for my two year old even if I get distracted doing something else while she's playing in it. Plus, this particular splash pad has plenty of room for both of us and another child could also be in it playing with us. I chose Amazon because the Splash Pads carried by BuyBuyBaby and Target were only large enough for a toddler. When this first came my husband didn't believe such a small package could have such a large pad. When we opened it up I felt a lot better because I wanted to be able to get in and play with thr splash pad. At the very least I wanted it large enough where teo toddlers could play in it at once. I love that it came in a mesh bag holder for storage. Right now, since it's summer we are using it almost every day so I'm not folding it up and putting into it every day. However, when winter comes I'll put it in the bag. I love how easy this splash pad is to use. I take it out, hook it up to the water hose and it's time for fun. The amount of water that comes out of the little holes like a fountain can be adjusted by the water pressure. My daughter and I like it about two inches high but playing with it I was able to get the water spray about three feet high (just a little taller than my daughter who wouldn't go near it when it was that high lol). My daughter actually asks downplay with the splash pad. At two years old she doesn't remember the name for everything but she loves this splash pad. An added bonus is that this helped my daughter get over her fear of the shower. She now loves showers because of this splash pad. Our oracle stone of the week is Tourmalated Quartz- the Ultimate Protection Stone.
The catch phrase Margaret Ann Lembo associates with Tourmaline is, "Force Fields Up!" Tourmaline absorbs negativity. While it is a stone that needs to be cleaned regularly (I sage mine regularly) it is one of my go to stones. I have a large piece of black tourmaline on both levels of my house. This tells me that we are going through a major purification this week. That purification can take a lot of different forms. Last week was one of detox after the heavy Christmas Season when we did a lot of work on our childhood and teenage wounds. This week, I would say, we achieve that transformation that we have been working on and we are purified. This feels particularly auspicious since we are heading into what might be another difficult year. We're starting the year with a clean energetic slate. I don't think that it can get better than that! Happy Belated New Year! Today we're looking at the symbolism around the New Moon in Capricorn. The energy of this New Moon is really difficult and I mean really really difficult. Yet, it is also a HUGE opportunity for us to build Compassion. The way the symbolism lines up for this one really blew my mind and really shows the interconnection of the Divine Plan and that is why I have no doubt there is a Creator that put all of this into motion.
What's also fascinating about this New Moon, the first one of the New Year, is that it encapsulates the themes of this year. In Year of the Villain video I explained how I saw that there was this push and pull between this new perspective of the villain and the old classic approach to life. Think of The DC's Joker and Marvel's Captain America sitting at a table debating each other. Not only would they disagree but they would be coming from totally different universes. What I didn't know when I wrote that blog is that is the astrological energy of the year. Acuyta Bhava Dasa and Steve Judd have both done wonderful videos on the Saturn and Uranus squares that are the big astrological events of this year. Huge events have occurred when Saturn squared Uranus. Some of the ones I can remember are the stock market crash, the start of the great recession, the tsunami that lead to the Fukishima meltdown and the Tsunami in Haiti that killed a lot of people. There will be three Saturn and Uranus squares in 2021. The first is on February 17th, the second on June 14th, and the third is December 24th. What is interesting is that Uranus is the planet of the Rebel, or what many would call the Villain. Saturn is the Father, the old fashioned point of view that is unyielding and doesn't like change. Both are in fixed signs so they're both stubborn. The theme of the Villain versus the Classic Old School Values of the Patriarchy that I saw reflected in the slate of movies being released in 2021 matches the astrological energy. The Astrology That brings me to the astrology of this New Moon. In this New Moon we see that clash as well. There are three planets in the old school, traditional sign of Capricorn and three planets in the rebellious sign of Aquarius. Meanwhile, Uranus and Mars in the fixed sign of Taurus are squaring the planets in the fixed sign of Aquarius. In fact there are 7 squares in this chart. Squares are tense aspects. If we personify the planets squares are disagreements. Seven is the number of the spiritual Path and the number of humanity. This is a very sacred number. As if that wasn't enough the Sun and Moon are at 23 degrees of Capricorn- right where Saturn and Pluto met exactly a year ago which has been credited as the energy that started the Coronavirus. In addition to that the Sun and Moon are conjunct Pluto- the planet of Rebirth. Now, this is the signal of the end of something but it is also the time when a new seed that will create the future is planted. The final feature of this New Moon I want to cover is that there is a lot of fixed energy in this chart. There are the three planets in Aquarius- Saturn, Jupiter and Mercury- and there is Uranus and Mars in Taurus. This suggests that things are unlikely to change. The stage and the players are set. Saturn will be in Aquarius until 2023. Uranus will be in Taurus until 2026. So, some of this fixed energy is going to be with us for awhile. The final square in this chart is Venus in Capricorn and Chiron in Aries. Now Mars finally moved out of Aries where it spent 2021 but that energy is still there and so is the planet Eris. But I want to quote what Rick Levine said in his January video (https://youtu.be/4gXkNRrq9qA) about this Venus and Chiron square because it really speaks to the energy of this New Moon. "...Venus is squaring Chiron which means that sometimes admitting that you're wrong is no fun at all. Venus squaring Chiron is learning to have compassion for those people we have dismissed. That we have marginalized. Venus square Chiron is actually having to come to grips with the part of ourselves that has either disenfranchised others or has been disenfranchised by others. In both cases this is setting the tone for that deeper energy of the new moon on Pluto which indicates a very powerful death and rebirth." Medicine Card Next, let's look at the Medicine Card I pulled. This is the first time I've pulled a contrary, or upside down, Medicine Card in a long time. The Card is Horse and fascinatingly Horse in the contrary position is in total alignment with the Astrology of the New Moon. The Horse represents power through the balancing of the four directions. Contrary Horse represents an imbalance- either feeling disempowered or disempowering others. Isn't that pretty much what Rick said about Venus square Chiron? Just look at what's going on in society. What we saw in 2020 and at the start of 2021 are people that are totally disenfranchised- who don't believe their voices count- doing everything in their power to be heard. The sad thing is both sides believe they are woke and have far more in common then they realize. If those two groups could find it within themselves to come together they would be an unstoppable force of change. Here is what Jamie Sam's calls upon us to do to fix this imbalance: "In allowing all pathways to have equal validity, you will see the power and glory of the unified family of humanity. This is the gift of the Rainbow Warrior...All colors of the rainbow and all pathways are honored as One." Pg 179 Do yourself a favor and look up the Rainbow Whirl Dream. This is an Indigenous teaching and it's absolutely beautiful. That's old school Spiritual Awakening material. The Indigenous Moon Contemplation Moon This is the first Moon of the Northern direction. The North is the place of Manifestation where the results of our work take shape in the physical world. In many ways this can be the harshest direction on the Medicine Wheel representing winter and old age but it also brings the gift of wisdom. This is where we find out if our hard work produced something that works...or if we need to go back to the drawing board and begin the process again. That is the harsh lesson of the North. The Contemplation Moon is a time of turning within. We rest and regain our strength from our long journey around the wheel contemplating the rebirth of activity that Spring will bring. The plant of the Contemplation Moon is Chamomile. Chamomile is a relaxing tea that has many other benefits. The Hebrew Letter Ayin This is the letter of discernment and insight. Ayin starts the words Eyes and Tree. In the Kabbalah tradition every manifestation of the Creator from a rock to you and I are Trees of Life. This is a very sacred letter. The Tarot Card The Devil This is the one card I won't put onto my Altar. This is the sort of energy I won't feed into but at the same time this is one of the most important cards in the Major Arcana because it's the state of most people. To sum up The Devil Card as simply as possible...it represents Ignorance. I've done an entire video on this card in my 7 Cards of the Seeker series. You can watch that here: https://youtu.be/k3skiyHxGl0 The people in the card are innocent. They are bond by their lusts and passion which can easily be remedied. The chains around their necks can easily be removed...but they choose to remain captive of their own material desires. Essentially, the subconscious, symbolized by the woman and the conscious, symbolized by the man, are stuck in Desire Mind. We can choose to release ourselves from bandage by walking the Path of the Seeker and building Compassion. The Tools For this New Moon I decided to work with the Medicine wheel and I'm setting an intention for Compassion. I'm starting off with the Hand of Fatima Incense for air. This incense is known for its protective loving feminine energy. Fatima experienced a lot of traumatic events but she continued to learn and at the end of the story the skills she learned helped her to fulfill a prophecy. One of the morals of the story is that perseverance and keeping a level head through traumatic experiences leads to wisdom. For water I'm using some Rose Water that I made. I wanted to bring in a sweet loving feeling because during difficult transits it's important to be gentle with ourselves. I'm dressing my tealight candle with Chamomile and dried Rose petals. Rose will bring in that loving energy. Chamomile will bring in the calming and healing energy. The Grid To start at the center of the Grid is a Smoky Quartz Generator to help heal and transmute this energy. In the Eastern Direction of Air I'm putting Lemon Serpentine. This purifying Solar Chakra stone helps with balancing. In the Southern direction of Fire I'm placing Carnelian. This Sacral Chakra Stone sparks creativity and vitality. In the Western Direction of Water I have Sodalite. This a stone of peacefulness. I'm placing Snowflake Obsidian in the Northern Direction of Earth. This is a powerful Transmutation and Shadow Work stone that aides in creating balance as well. Then I have the six stones of love to help build compassion. These stones will help us heal and balance the Medicine Wheel stones. My favorite love stone is Kunzite. I always carry this translucent light pink stone in my Medicine Bag. This is the stone to heal relationships and promote romance. Then I have Pink Danburite. This tiny crystal carry's big energy. This is the stone of love and soothing Compassion. Next I have Pink Agate. This is a very loving gentle stone of transformation. I also have Morganite. Morganite is a sweet loving stone that helps heal relationships. Finally, I have two Pink Tibetan Quartz points. These loving very high vibration stones also bring in compassion. Well, that's it for this New Moon video. I know this has been a lot and the energy is intense. The best thing we can do is build compassion and send love to the millions of disenfranchised people that have been acting out over the course of the last year. We need to listen to and address the concerns of these people instead of rejecting each other. The only way we can heal this is if we bring everyone into the conversation. Perhaps I should have called this the year of the Disenfranchised. Villains are usually Disenfranchised. Maybe I'll write a blog on this topic. Also, I won't be posting a video next week since I posted two videos this week. Capricorn season is always rough for me. So it will be nice to take a little break from videos. I will be back with the Full Moon Meditation video on the 23rd. Thank you Brave Soul for joining me in exploring this avenue on the Path of the Seeker. |
