Alight, so I kind of wrote a clickbait headline for this blog.
I prefer calling God the One Creaetor. I find that title to be the best because it means all creator God's every depicted are the One Creator by a different name. This is an inclusive approach instead of an Exclusive approach saying there is only one way to approach spirituality. I've explained why I chooe to approach my spirituality this way instead of choosing one religion over another. For me, it's just more inspiring to believe that they are all talking abou the same One Creator from different perspectives. Either way...no matter what job you do you can serve the One Creator. The Weird Competition I just want to take a moment to comment on the weird competition we have in the United States when it comes to the jobs we do. Often times, when I reveal that I have a Masters in Business administration while working as a barista people reply, "What are you doing here?" They are almost offended to find a highly edcuated person in what they consider a menial job. Well, I have my purposes but just because I'm educated doesn't mean I can only work certain jobs. If what I'm doing works for me...why does that suggest I'm not working to the fullest of my ability to contribute what I can? To me, these blogs and my YouTube videos have more value and can contribute far more then any job currently held important by society. Also, by being a barista I can be an example of what true happiness looks likes to hundreds of people a month and that wouldn't be an option in a job where I don't interact with many people. We value CEO's and Presidents and Managers more then we do the people we interact with everyday to get what we want. I think this is very sad. I can tell you for a fact the average Customer Service repreasentive- be they a manager or just an average worker- has a job that's just as difficult as the CEO...if not more so because they are usually peforming it with less resources and far less money or benefits. I really pray this focus on equating the value of the individual with their job title ends in the United States. Not only is it nonsense but it's illogical to think that everyone should be upper management. Serving God By Serving Others As the Bhagvad-gita states we are all fragments of the One Creator. We are all One with the One Creator. The One Creator is the fire and we are the individual tongues of flame...we are our own beings but we are still part of that Oversoul. We are simply taught the Illusion of Seperation. That's why why when Jesus says that the highest law is to, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind. The second is to love your neighbor as you love yourself." Mark 12:30-31 Your neighbor and yourself are a part of that Oversoul/Dinvine Peresonality that is God. That's why these two commandments are the greatest of them all. This is also why you have to get right with yourself before you attempt to love someone else and obey these commands. How can you love God with all your heart, soul and mind if you can't love yourself? The same goes with your neighbor, how can you love your neighbor as yourself if you hate or disown part of yourself? Humanity likes to split ourselves into teams and war with each other...but we are all One. To simplify envisioning this concept think of each person as a cell within a material body of the One Creator. In our physical body, the heart cells do what they need to do to make the heart beat, our lung cells do what they need to do to make our lungs process oxygen, the cells in our veins do what they need to do to transport the different nutrients to the different parts of the body that need them...each cell supports and serves the whole. In this way, every cell in our body works together to make one complete and harmonious unity of work that is our body. If those cells decide to rebel, such in the case of Cancer, the entire system eventually fails and we die. When we realize that we are One with the One Creator we have a priceless opportunity. We realize that every other person we meet is also a fragment of the One Creator. They are the One Creator, in every sense of the word, and our job should be to find harmony with that other person as best we can. They may be in a state of disharmony within themselves but that doesn't mean that we can't find a way to work with them in harmony. A Body In Disharmony When you look at humanity you see a lot of disharmony. You see people fighting over religion, race and territory. I doubt anyone who could look at humanity and say that we act as One. Too many are out for their own agenda. Please note, I'm not talking about Group Think where everyone thinks and acts the same exact way. We can't all be heart cells or all be lung cells...there are hundreds of different functions that cells perform in our bodies and they are all equally important. Each person, just like the cells in our body, serves a person and has a unique set of skills to serve the whole. If the bladder cells were to go on strike because they feel they are less important and don't like their job the entire body would die. Again, as I said, when we look at it that way it's analagous to a body that has Cancer. With a few bad cells the entire system is distrupted, those cells affect all of the cells around them and eventually that leads to death. Many believe that, as a race, we stand on the brink of extinction. Realisitcally, we've stood on the brink of extinction since the creation of the Nuclear Bomb. People today are more worried about climate change then the Nuclear bomb but this precarious position started with the World Wars. As Jesus states, "And if a house is divided against itself, it cannot stand." Mark 3:25 This goes with humanity, the government, companies and within the human body/psyche. That's where we are right now. We have elements that are in such disharmony they would like to annhilate the rest of us to create uniformity. They think that turning everyone into the same sort of cell will benefit humanity but it's a genetic dead end. By Serving One Person You Serve The Whole I shared my practice that I admit is a bit difficult. Yet, at the same timeit's so easy to apply in your life. Every time you meet a person you see the divine within them. Imagine that they are Jesus or Krsna, Buddha or Muhammad. Look at them and see, no matter how mean or rude or hateful they are to you, see them as that person you've always imagined as the ultimate teacher/divine figure. Know that at this time they are suffering and that being is sleeping. They just haven't awakened to the fact that's their true nature. Then treat them as you would treat that figure. Would you resent Jesus for asking you to put a little extra love, add a little detail into doing your job, or to make something a little bit more complicated? When you go somewhere and you are being served you do the same thing. If Jesus/Buddha/Krsna/Muhammad were behind the counter at McDonalds would you treat him like crap because he was a menial worker? Would you dehumanize him saying that he is not of value because he's a fast food worker? Would you treat them as though they were idiots? Each and every person that you meet you have an opportunity to serve. Whether you are serving them directly as in a server at a restaurant, a propierter of a store, a manager serving his employees, a sales person serving his customers, or a CEO serving both his employees and his customers...each person you encounter you have the opportunity to serve. You don't need to give them messages from the Spiritual world. All you have to do is show them love, compassion and treat them as the highly venerated individual that they are. The Story Okay, to get this you might need the story. The story goes that the One Creator was lonely. So, the One Creator created a companion. In the Bible this is Adam. Then Adam became lonely. The One Creator put Adam to sleep. Then he created Eve as a companion...and eventually all of us came into existence. We are within Adam's dream...we are fragments of the Divine Personality of Adam. Sometimes, it's called Krsna or simply God Consciousness. You know that pesky question, "If God exists why does evil exist?" Well, we create the dream. We created the dream. The One Creator did not and is not a part of it. Adam is essentially neutral, as Krsna states in the Bhagavad-Gita the Divine Personality knows that it's all these little sparks and doesn't hold any of them in higher esteem the others. As Edgar Cacye says we were created to be the Companions of the Divine Personality and The One Creator. Bashar, channeled by Daryl Anka, uses the metaphor of the mirror. The Divine Personality is looking intio the mirror... at an image of himself. That mirror is broken and each of us are the shards. Does this start to make sense? Do you see how insane it is not to treat your fellow beings with love and compassion? Can you start to see the insanity of selfishness? Conclusion When you realize what you are the idea of fighting others becomes sheer insanity. The desire for selfishness also becomes sheer insanity. Serving the self only in a dog eat dog world is also insanity because that's not truly the world we live in. In A Course of Miracles, in fact, the Divine Personality states that most of the people in this world are Insane. They all come from a state of insanity where they think this false reality- the illusion within the mirror- is real...and try to dominate everything else in the mirror. They've been given time and space from the One Creator to heal this problem. Once you realize how the system works you realize the only sane option is to serve all of humanity. You can serve all of humanity in whatever job you may be doing. You do not have to change or save the world on your own. Each person approaching their job from this place of a desire to serve the whole will find peace. That, in turn, will transform this world. You can do this in any job or mode of life. If you are a stay at home mom you are serving your husband and children. If you are a manager you are serving your employees and your customers. If you are in customer service you are serving your customers, your co-workers and your managers. All of it is serving the Divine Personality. This creates harmony and love within. You do not need to change anyone outside of you...you just have to change your perspective. Then you can serve the whole of humanity. Maybe you won't be viewed as the Messiah but we are each the messiah within our own minds. We can deliver ourselves from selfishness to pure love.

What is the purpose for your spiritual practice? I asked this question to a lot of people and very few could answer it. Why do they have a need for spiritual beliefs? My husband and I talk about this often. He has no need of a Spiritual practice or belief. He's decided human beings can't know if God exists for sure or an afterlife so why bother thinking of them? This has brought him peace. Most of the people I asked didn't know at first. One replied that it was to build a relationship with God. For most, it appears to be a habit that their parents gave them. Most people don't have a conscious purpose for their Spiritual Practice. Most of the time it is just an inherited Idea that they learned from their parents. If they don't show up for Church on Sunday they are bad and may be damned to hell. If they do show up they are promised a place in the Afterlife where they won't be tormented. That is the long and short of their religious practice and it's purpose...not to be destroyed. My Spiritual Practice My spiritual practice is seeking truth. Reading as much as I can from every perspective possible and coming to conclusions. I can see a thread of truth throughout all of the religions and ancient practices. Through the course of that I studied psychology, Buddhism and meditation. That has probably contributed more to my life concerning quality and general peacefulness. Meditation is but a small part of my practice but I do it diligently every night just before going to bed and during stressful times at work or home. Mostly, I am open minded and will give any spiritual perspective my time. From the ancient beliefs of the Egyptians to the most modern Christian Sects there are general similarities. There is much in all of the systems that would unite all people if they could see the same small thread that I see. Yet, mysteriously, I've found the more I've learned and comprehend The One Creator, the less I can convey to my fellow human beings. Existing within tiny little perception boxes of their own creation anything that does not speak to directly to their experience seems nonsensical. Oneness is not something that can be adequately described when experienced especially when we are conditioned towards a belief in Separation. Why Seek? First, most people don't become seekers. Most people's spiritual practice consists of going somewhere like a Church or Temple or Mosque and being told about God. They leave the relationship with God to the priests of the religious orders and only show up to hear about him on days of particular religious significance to cover their assess in case there is a God. They pay the priests to keep out of hell. Often times, they describe it in their mind in a different more flowery appealing way but to speak plainly this is their practice. I always felt that the perspective priests tell is warped. Even as a child I knew they were in the business of making money as opposed to helping the people they work with find peace. The fact they love to scare and terrify people with the idea that the Devil can spiritually attack them and that they will go to Hell if the people don't do exactly as the Priests says...They always sounded like a used car Salesman to me. The more dependent and hopeless the people are the more their flock grows and the more money they make. Over the course of Seeking for spiritual answers I've come across a lot of unpleasant beliefs that people have constructed. I took them into consideration but I became aware of the feelings that they invoked. Why do I want to bring an idea into my life and hold onto it that would bring me mental pain and anguish? Why would I choose to live life feeling guilty just because I was born human? Listening to my own heart I learned that the ideas that brought me unpleasant feelings, freaked me out and increased my anxiety were not good. Ideas like the Apocalypse just didn't make sense...why would a loving Creator want to destroy the world he created? Why would I want to see other people being punished...going to a public execution, to me is distasteful, let alone witnessing a global execution. Ideas that brought me peace, that Revelation is not a book of prophecy but spiritual self-discovery for example, simply ring more true then those that bring fear. They are more subtle ideas than the doom and gloom blood thirsty vengeance...but it makes everything more personal. A lot of that meant letting go of my desire to see my fellow human beings punished and a desire for my own punishment for my supposed guilt for being born human. What is my Purpose? My purpose is to find peace and rest in my relationship with the cosmos and the One Creator. I've gone through phases of not believing and exploring more philosophical questions. The questions philosophers have asked is can God be all powerful but have an enemy, Satan, that appears to be equal to him? How can God be good if he allows evil to exist in the world? Why is God male and does that mean that women are inferior? No doubt, these questions give atheists a lot of ammunition against most religious people who can't answer these questions. Mostly, I've sought peace and understanding. I've found the answers to be something far beyond what I expected but they make far more sense then the small petty little ideas that priests offer. I'm not afraid of questioning God. I no longer call it God because that confuses the matter. What God are you speaking of when you say that- Apollo, Yahweh, Zeus, Enlil or Osiris? There are so many God's with so many names and most of them have been dismissed. Most of them have been personified and projected upon so they might as well being human beings walking among us right here on Earth. I went through a phase of calling God All-That-Is but I didn't like that either. I called it Source, because it's the Source of all life but that didn't quite capture the essence either. I've called it Spirit, but that encompasses all of the Spiritual Dimensions...so I've started calling it The One Creator. I don't believe The One Creator is male or female. Nor is it in the image of a human being. The small seed of Spirit that we often call the Soul is in the image of the One Creator not the physical human body. In all of the religions under the vast amount of names that human beings have assigned to it...at the end of the day it's all interpretations of The One Creator. This is a very unifying idea. Conclusion I went in with a lot of questions seeking the truth and that has been my spiritual practice more then anything else. If I did not see the thread of truth in all religions and spiritual belief systems I might not believe in the One Creator at all. Yet, it's clear that there has been contact with forces beyond the human scope of imagination and that they have been trying to help us. Sadly, human beings were easily wowed and worshiped those forces instead of understanding those beings were equal to us. Once you remove all of the human projections that we have put on the One Creator it becomes something more beautiful than most religious thinkers are capable of comprehending. Yet, the idea I hold is a conglomerate of all of the different religions of the world and their natural conclusion. The One Creator is a non-judgmental being waiting for us to wake from the slumber of a nightmare who seeks companionship. There is no Satan or the Devil aside from the Ego which exists within our minds and must be tamed to the point where it dissolves. This removes The One Creator's responsibility for the evil in the world and puts it directly into the hands of the human beings. There is no Satan to blame either...it's just a bunch of people giving into the darkness that resides within them. They gave that darkness a name and tried to make it a seperate entity from them...but it is as much a part of them as their Soul that unifies them with the One Creator. Herein, I've found peace and understanding for my fellow human beings. No longer seeing people as ships weathered by storm and sea by an unforgiving God...I see people operating as victims of their subconscious and Ego living out patterns and ideas that belonged to their parents without questioning them...which came from previous generations. They try filling a deep hole within them but don't realize that it doesn't need to be there...that they created it by believing in the Illusion of Separation. They can resolve the battle between good and evil that exists within their own mind. I've also found that most of this is even talked about in the bible but easily misunderstood. I also understand that this is how it's meant to be...that people who aren't interested won't understand the deeper mysteries because they are not interested. Talking to them is like talking to a wall and expecting an appreciative answer...it won't come. Some seek heaven. What I found is that this world is just a dream. In another dimension we never left heaven or home...we are still and ever will be with the One Creator whole and complete with no possibility of being tempted into destruction. We can experience heaven within our consciousness right now in this moment if we so choose...it takes some discipline and a practice like meditation to quiet and then dissolve the ego but it's an effortless natural by-product. The path can be as complicated or as simple as we wish. |
