Now, this is another one of those things I've been sitting on.
There is a strange mystery about Greece. Let me take this step by step. I also want to make it clear I love Greece. I wanted to go to the Greek Islands for my Honeymoon but sadly, due to poor planning, I didn't have the opportunity. I, like so many thousands, feel a romantic love for Greece and her islands especially. The Greece I Learned About There is so much history left out of the history books about Greece. The Greece I learned about it school was peaceful. In fact, it was set up to be the ideal government. They had wonderful philosophers such as Plato and Socrates that came out of their ability to sophisticately think. Their democracy was recognized as slightly flawed (too many voices led to chaos) but it was considered, as far as my textbook was concerned, the very model of civility. As though, somehow Greece alone had brought the gift of knowledge and intellecualistim into the world. Heck, they literally worshipped the intellect- A goddess named Sophia. Ever heard the statement, "Knowledge is power"? I'm pretty sure that comes from Greece. The other thing we learned about was the Olymypics. They started as a way to help unifty the different Greek States. Yes, Greece was one of the basic foundation countries upon which the United States was based. I believe it was the first country that had unique states that were very distinct in personality from each other but unified. The entire world now participates in the Olympic Games. The honor to host them is huge with countries pouring billions of dollars into the host city that builds stadiums to house the games. That is one way the entire world expresses their unity. I never read about Greek military history. Every Other Country History Now, I would dismiss this shallow interpertation of Greek history as bias because the part of the United States government- the democratic process of voiting and having independent states- except for there is a problem. Rome, which is an offspring of Greece in many ways, and their Republican government was also a inspiration. In fact, the United States is a Republic and not a pure Democracy. Rome, however, (just like every other country I ever studied) was villified. Every other country that is studied you receive a huge amount of military history. That's all they are known for...their military history- their generals, their kings, and what they conquered. The only exception is Greece. Troy, Persia and Sparta Sparta, the cruel warrior state of Greece. They used to abandon newborn babies that were considered 'imperfect' on hills because they were not considered fit to live. That's what pure intellectualisim will get you. True, the the story of Troy is one of those that you do hear about. However, they're not really portrayed as the aggressor in the Odyssey. The battle of Troy is just a very small part of that book. I did read that in high school...but again, it was taught as the height of intellecualisim. Some say it's a depiction of how the Gods can be fickle. I never liked it and I never liked Odyssius or saw why Achilles was considered so great. He was just a demi-god warrior. Big whoop. I should hope most people see Agammenon who sacrficed his own daughter to the Goddess of War to gain her favor to be a villian. Each, in the story, is spoken of as heros. To me it's a testament of testasterone. Then there is the story of the 300. Again, Greece didn't start the war. Instead, Persia was the aggressor. So, the two stories we hear about Greece and it's military history...which are only popular as entertainment...Greece is not portrayed as the aggressor. If Paris hadn't taken Helen...then the battle of Troy wouldn't have happened. If Persia hadn't attacked Greece the story of the 300 would not have happened. History, it seems, portrays Greece as a victim and their military causes as virtious. That's fascinating to me because no other country is afforded this treatement. Greece and Israel I didn't know that Greece attacked Israel. That's not taught in the United States history books. Yet, it's a big deal. That's the inspiration for Hanukkah. Here is an article on the topic: https://www.chabad.org/holidays/chanukah/article_cdo/aid/102911/jewish/What-Is-Hanukkah.htm Note the term Seleucid Empire. I never read about that Empire in History books at school. History was my favorite subject. What was the Seleucid Empire- a Greek Empire that also ruled Syria. Here is the wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seleucid_Empire The story goes that the 7 Noahide laws for gentiles had reached Greece and alot of people started to convert. The response from the Greek government was to send an army to Israel to destroy them and the Temple. The Greeks poured out the barrels of oil to keep the Minorah lit (an item never meant to go out) and only a tiny bit of the specially prepared olive oil was left. That little bit of olive oil kept the Menorah going for eight days. By a miracle, outnumbered by the Greeks, Israel turned their invading army back. A Validation For Me Don't tell me why I didn't know that it was the Greeks who led to the Holiday. Why that's not taught and why they don't say flat out- the Greeks- I don't know. That's the Enigma. I read about it Daniela Abravanel's book on the Hebrew Alphabet. That stopepd me cold because in a past life regression when I saw Yeshua (Jesus) in Jerusalem the little egyptian girl that I was thought to herself when she saw the blue green color of his eyes: "He must have Greek in him." That was a strange thought and not mine. I didn't know that the Greeks had an influence in Israel. I didn't know about that war or the Noahide laws until the 2017. I dropped that mystery from that past life for many reasons. In fact, I dismissed it. That regression session was very strange because it seemed as though I was gazing through her eyes in real time, Yeshua saw me and recongnized it, and began to come towards me. I yanked myself out of that Past Life Regression and haven't done one since. I quesitoned if it was real. My biggest fear with my spiritual studies has been the idea of the 'God Complex.' The idea that I would get a big Ego as a result of thinking that I was someone important in a past life- as many woman 'remember' being Nefertiti in Egypt. I always felt sorry for those people and felt that they were distoring their past life memories because they feel powerless in this life and want to use their past lives as a way to gain power and be someone important in this life. Yet, here is this Greek connection suggesting that past life was real. Why Is The Greek Battle In Israel Not Common Knoweldge? Why do churches portray Israel as though it was some sort of vacuum unaffected by the outer world? As though it were entirely isolated? Yet, it was not. It was at the heart of a trade route heavily influenced by outside cultures. The fact that the Greeks invaded Israel and that miracle ended that battle...that should be celebrated and known by everyone. Yet, it strangely seems to have been suppressed. All Roads Lead To Helen And Alexander The Great I'm still researching this topic. Yet, two figures not given too much attention keep coming up. Alexander The Great The Goddess Helen...is that Helen of Troy? I don't know but we will touch on both in upcoming blogs. Alexander, like Gilgamesh went on a quest to the two places assoviated with the nummo- Zechiriah Stitchin mentions it in his book End of Days. Alexander also has a connection the Emrald Tablet. The Emerald Tablet has a connection with Noah...a connection also associated with Gilgamesh, who visits the Babylonian version of Noah and his journey to become a legitimate God-King. The Greek Helen has a connection to the Lebe which has a christian conneciton as well...and has been connected as a symbol of the Nummo by Shannon Dorey (whom I don't feel is quite on it when it comes to her exploration of the Nummo of the Dogon...she's a lot less balanced then Laird so her work comes out realy distorted). The Most Ancient Texts We Possess I must make this note in this blog because of the Odyssey. First, we have to recognize that there were probably texts that were more ancient. The Libraries that held the oldests texts were destroyed by Rome. Some might view that as nefarious but there might have a been a purpose that served all of Humanity. Of course, cutting off that knowledge plunged the world into the Dark Ages. So, we can rest assured that the oldest textt hat we curren otly have were not neccesairly the oldest texts that had ever existed. Yet, I'm sure there is a reason that Gilgamesh and the Odyssey survived while other texts did not. While we look at the as literal stories of historical figures...their symbolisim offers more because in that time...like the bible...such tales were tall tales. Just as we today know that the storiesof Paul Bunyon and Johnny Appleseed are not literal but exaggerated stories of true individuals...the same idea is appropriately applied to these ancient texts. Therefore the symbolisim of the story is just as imporant to understand as the historical significance of the individuals. Archetypal Symbolisim is the universal language of humanity...if not the cosmos itself. I will write a blog on telepathy, as I have experienced it, eventually. Suffice to say when experiencing that an image is often shown with a feeling. So, if I saw an image of a lily, with the feeling of love, I would know it would mean that individual loves lilies..as long as the feeling is directed to the lily. What is the deeper purpose to the Odyssey? I will get deeper into that...but with Gilgamesh there is a tie to Alexander The Great. There is also a tie to Alexander the Great and Greece...therfore the Odyssey. Curious. Greece In Modern Events Globalisim. I don't like that word. I am not a globalist. I love indepdent countries that are not ruled by a single leader. The entire world behaving like the United States...after I have seen how some presidents and our government has abused their power keeping us in a constant state of war without telling us why since the World Wars...I am not for it. Yet, if we did switch into a world with a single auhority ruling the world...where do you think the ruler would be? Would it be Greece? I don't know but...if you look at the Olympics symbolically...that's what they represent. Further, if you look at the events around the European Union...it's Greece that's being funded by that Union. They're huge social programs are what are being funded. British people desire to leave the European Union because they don't want to pay for Greeks to have a better lifestyle then them. Why should they? Conclusion Well, that is the Greek Enigma. Why is the Greek at the center of so much Mystery? Why is it the only country depicted as peaceful and wise when it was not? I don't know. I would have thrown the entire question out if it hadn't been for the weird reaction to the idea that I suggested that Greece is depicted as being peaceful when it is not on a post by Laird Scranton. Someone wrote that I was being childish. I responded with a Pooh Bear looking confused. I was surprised such a vehement response. That led me to believe there is more here. Further, Laird's work about Crete and tying Greece to the Nummo has met considerable resistance from strange charecters. Not hateful...but people trying to convince him he's being...childish. This seems so reminiscent of the Pyschologist in Glass that I want to laugh. People trying, unsuccessfully prove that it's all smoke...and nothing of substance there. They clearly haven't worked with Laird's previous work...and they clearly don't know that ancient people are notorious for building on top of previous sacred sites in an attempt to harness the energies of those locations...just like the Romans converted the Jewish Temple into a temple to Zeus to show their domination. When people like that show up in response to what seems like something minor...and there is so much msytery surrounding a place...well, things are adding up aren't they?
