Since I published something I didn't mean to I thought I'd share a recent band and song I came across that I've been fascinated with.
This is not what you think if you come at it with superstition. When my husband first saw the video he asked me why the white people were dressed up as Indigenous Americans. I thought that was hilarious. Yes, ancient Europeans wore animal skins and left behind rock art just like every other race. Whoever they are....the music is right in touch with the Kabbalah Tree of Life teaching about the primordial being Adam Kadmon (essentially the name of our oversoul) and recognition of the coming age of Aquarius. The quote: "That promises a powerful sun to rise To melt away all moons" Suggests the removal of all illusion among humanity. We only focus on the Moon when we have turned from the Source (often symbolized by the sun). Heilung is a band from Denmark that draws their inspiration from Medieval Northern Europe. I love their life recordning of a concert and that they start off with this saying that refers to what I will be talking about a lot as we work through the Kabbalah Tree of Life : "Remember that we all are brothers, All people, beasts, tree and stone and wind, We all descend from the one great being, That was always there, Before people lived and named it, Before the first seed sprouted." Profound! According to GeniusLyrics.com the main chorus is from: "The repeated chorus in this song is based on an ancient Norse poem inscribed into the Eggia Stone– a 7th century grave stone that was uncovered on a Norwegian farm in 1917. As the inscription is only partially preserved, there is no agreed upon direct translation from the runic inscription to modern-day Norse. As a result, the tract supplied as the official lyrics by Heilung is mainly a phonetic interpretation of the second of the stone’s three panels." The lyrics in English is as follows: What am I supposed to do If I want to talk about peace and understanding But you only understand the language of the sword What if I want to make you understand that the path you chose leads to downfall But you only understand the language of the sword What if I want to tell you to leave me and my beloved ones in peace But you only understand the language of the sword I let the blade do the talking So my tongue shall become iron And my words the mighty roar of war Revealing my divine anger's arrow shall strike All action for the good of all I see my reflection in your eyes But my new age has just begun The sword is soft In the fire of the furnace It hungers to be hit And wants to have a hundred sisters In the coldest state of their existence They may dance the maddest In the morass of the red rain Beloved brother enemy I sing my sword song for you The lullaby of obliteration So I can wake up with a smile And bliss in my heart And bliss in my heart And bliss in my heart Coexistence, Conflict, combat Devastation, regeneration, transformation That is the best I can do for you I see a grey gloom on the horizon That promises a powerful sun to rise To melt away all moons It will make the old fires of purification (of purification) Look like dying embers

I give Star Wars: The Last Jedi a strong 8/10.
Yeah, I know, this movie review is very late. At the time that it came out I wasn't sure what to think of the Last Jedi. I went to see it in theaters but I really wanted to watch it again. Especially after listening to reviews of the movie and what other people thought of it. I watched it again a month ago and, again, had mixed feelings. On one hand I love a lot about this movie. Yet, there were just so many components to this movie that didn't work (mostly the side stories of Po/Holdo and Finn/Rose). If those two side stories had been the only thing in the movie I would probably have given the movie a 2/10. I agree with my favorite reviewer, Christ Stuckmann, they detracted from the part that was great...which was the dynamics between Luke/Rey and Rey/Kylo. I really enjoyed the Last Jedi but only because of the story lines involving those three charecters. I really loved what they did with the character of Luke Skywalker. I really loved Kylo and Rey's relationship in this movie. Po's character was under utilized and after insubordination and a mutiny was strangely forgiven. I really didn't enjoy that part of the movie either...they just sort of strung him along. Finn and Rose were a bit forgettable and really felt like the director (Rian Johnson) was putting his own personal beliefs into the movie. I'm note sure I wanted something so overtly political in a Star Wars movie...after all, that was my main gripe with the prequels. I wasn't a huge fan of Vice Admiral Holdo even though I really enjoyed that character in the Leah book. She wast really undeveloped in the movie and had I never read that book I don't think her death would have had the impact on me that it had. I really loved her character in that book so when she sacrificed herself it hit me hard. She made really ignorant decisions in the movie. I wasn't a huge fan of Leah surviving to the end of that movie. I think she was supposed to be a major part of the third movie. However, with Carrie Fisher's death I do not want to see that character in the third movie. I really hope in the final movie they focus on finishing off Rey's story line and all of the extra characters can just have cameos. With all of that said I really enjoyed that this movie was a total change. This movie didn't feel like The Empire Strikes Back. This movie felt like it's own whole and complete story which is what Star Wars needed. Luke Skywalker There was nothing better then to see a bitter old Luke Skywalker that had shut out the Force. We find that our original hero had tried to recreate the Jedi Order but failed. He sensed the Darkness in Kylo but he couldn't kill him...which is what sent Kylo on his destructive spree. After his attempt to recreate the Jedi he retreated to the planet where Rey finds him. When he took that light saber and threw it over his shoulder at the start of the movie I couldn't help but laugh. That was so unexpected. Yet, there was Rey, so much like him when he first got drawn into the battle between the Dark and Light side of the Force in the original trilogy. The approach to the Force in this movie was just so right...it wasn't the stupid scientific Physical Matter Reality crap that Lucas proposed in the Prequels (can we forget those exist?). The Force as it was portrayed in this movie was perfect. As for the Jedi being wrong and that being a failed religion...yup. There was no moderation. That is a hard pill to swallow for people who imagined themselves as Jedi or want to emulate that idea. Yet, very true. Extremes don't work and being a reclusive order of monastic monks won't save it either. That final battle where Luke fought Kylo Ren on the Salt Planet was also beautiful. That was a scene that was so well done. The fact that Luke didn't leave footprints in the Salt...makes the second viewing of that scene riveting. That Luke chose, in the end, to understand that being a symbol can be a good thing because it gives the oppressed Hope and makes room for something new was also beautiful. Rey The highlight of this movie was Rey. I really loved how Rian Johnson chose to not let her have the easy way out. He didn't want to her to be someone significant. He wanted her to be a nobody who was just thrust into this situation for seemingly no apparent reason. Who on the Spiritual Path of the Seeker doesn't experience the same thing? You find someone you think knows the answers only to find disappointment. The Path, in the end, is unique to each individual and no mass marketing or mass indoctrination can produce the results. The Results you reap on the Path of the Seeker is entirely up to you. I loved Rey's scenes with Luke where she was training. The scene where she had the Dark Night of the Soul and went for the Dark spot on the planet...only to find herself trapped without answers...just a hall of mirrors effect. That was so perfect. Which brings us to the relationship she develops with Kylo... Kylo and Ren Probably the highlight of the movie is when Rey tries to save Kylo and he tries to turn her. Not only does she fail but she causes him to go deeper into the darkness. That is one tough lesson to swallow...but the only person we are responsible and can save is ourselves. No matter how much we want to help other people we cannot save them and often times the attempt sends them into a deeper darkness. That was such a brilliant part of the movie. Both of them were tempted by the other but clearly didn't understand one another. Seeing them work together it was clear if they did join up they would have been an unstoppable team but there was no way either of them could cross the line to the other side. Conclusion There were brilliant parts of this movie that I really loved. They made the movie worth seeing and I would almost like to watch the movie without the subplots because I'm sure it would be better. At the same time the subplots were just unnecessary. I didn't like any of the original characters that Rian Johnson brought into the fray. Even though I agreed with the scoundrel DJ that it was better not to choose sides and that there were people profiting by selling to both sides of the war...I didn't like the character and it was unnecessary preaching that detracted from the plot. The subplot with Finn and Rose made the entire idea of battle between the Rebellion and the First Order seem pointless. You would think that the Rebellion should just throw in the towel...give up and limp home so they could scratch out a living under the oppressive First Order. That subplot really cheapened the movie. I can see that Rian Johnson wanted to bring more depth into the movie then the Us vs. Them narrative that has defined the Age of Pisces but his way of doing so didn't jive well with the Luke/Rey/Kylo story line so it felt like two movies tacked together. So, while Rian Johnson did really well on some things which were refreshing...he did terrible on others and he used this movie to promote his political beliefs which is always bad taste. He did the movie he really wanted to see with Finn and Rose...thankfully he didn't completely screw up with Rey. However, there is a lot of room in the third movie to revert things. Rey can be changed to be someone important, because it is possible Kylo lied or was deceived by the Dark Side of the Force. That's kind of how the Dark Side works. I will definitely see number three just to see the end of Rey's story line. I was disappointed by this sequel because of the Rose/Finn/Po stuff but it hasn't completely ruined this trilogy for me. I doubt the Last Jedi will be seen as the most brilliant of the films because it was so clunky...although some are trying to equate it to the Empire Strikes back. I will admit that Rose did have the best line in the movie when she stops Finn from sacrificing himself. She says something along the lines of they won't win against the First Order by giving up their lives but saving what they love.
As we come to this stage of Alchemy we still find that right speech as an important part of the process.
Since this Stage of Alchemy is related to the Element of Air this makes sense. What part of the human being is most intimately connected with Air then Speech and Breathing? An important part of Speech that I have not covered is the definitions that we make to describe things. If we are not clear on our definitions and terms we can create a lot of confusion. That's one of the reasons I really appreciate Thomas Campbell. I use his terms of AUO, AUM, PMR and NPMR because they fit the situation so eloquently without any connotation that involves religious or spiritual practices. When talking on spiritual matters it does really help to keep things as clear as possible. From the examples that are used all the way down to our tone...people are impacted by every aspect of the communication. Communication Comes From The Heart I had two people respond to my YouTube video, "Self-Fulfilling Prophecy Psychology Law of Attraction" that I made a year ago. I was not as clear as I am now on these subjects and I didn't realize that I only used negative examples in the video. For me, overcoming looking at everything critically and expect the worse has been a Major Life Lesson. I came into this life with a lot of negativity from my prior lives. I'm still working on Transmuting negativity but this is one of those examples where what we communicate always comes from the heart. I was focused on negative experiences when I created that video and the only examples I gave in the video were negative ones. I didn't even realize that until two people pointed it out...and I was amazed! Not only am I happy that I have transformed so much in the last year that I am less negative now then I have ever been but it also gives me something to keep an eye on in my speech now. Sifting Our Thoughts And Speech Looking into the mirror and examining ourselves can be hard...that's why the process of shifting through our Thoughts and Speech can be difficult. Our best mirrors are the people that we encounter. We do need to listen to the feedback of the people around us because they are going to give us perspectives into ourselves. We also need to pay attention to the friends we attract because, as the old saying goes, "Like attracts like." If we find most of our friends are Negative or Materialistic...the chances are we are the same way on some level. That is why this Stage of Alchemy can take a while...and it is a process of identification and transformation. As we identify these beliefs and behaviors we can start to change them. The process is long and the 'golden thoughts' that produce the result that we want may seem elusive if we are deeply entrenched in negative thinking (as I have been for multiple lives) but thankfully we do start to see the results of this process as we go...for each negative knee jerk reaction we can transmute we see a definte and positive effect in our life...which makes it easier to stay on the Path. If we had to identify and transmute all of them at once it would be too much of a shock on our system. Yeshua and the Sword of Discernment When the realization hit me, finally, what Yeshua meant when he said he came with a sword I was shocked. That was a statement in the New Testament that I could never comprehend. We start off by discerning our fruiltful thoughts from our unfruitful thoughts but discernment goes far more deeper in every aspect of our lives... We sing of Peace on Earth every Christmas...and, yet, Yeshua flat out said that he did not come to bring peace! That contradiction has always confused me. My ability to discern the truth, even back then when I was really confused, had raised a red flag. When I understood that the Sword represents Separation...the separation, in fact, of the wheat from the chaff that Yeshua talked about in Matthew 3:12....I realized it was in perfect alignment with everything else that he taught. Studying the Edgar Cacye material really helped me to understand the 'secret' teachings of Yeshua and what he was eluding to in his parables. The fact that he spoke in such symbolic language that didn't seem to be understood is one of the things that prompted me to walk the Path of the Seeker in the first place...back in the 90's when my journey started. I am continuously amazed that by studying the Jewish Kabbalah, Hebrew Letters, Tarot and Alchemy many of the symbols he used are explained even better then the Edgar Cacye material. The symbols have always been Universal Archetypes but because of different factors were never used in the interpretation of Yeshua's words or parables by the Church. As I noted in the video...the sword Separation is a form of Discernment. I discovered this after I recorded the video and due to events didn't have the ability to add this fact in...and again, we find that this is in perfect alignment with other teachings. Discernment, after all, is one of the key lessons that we must learn on Earth. There are so many false teachers and Yeshua even told us how to use Discernment in Matthew 7:15-20 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown in the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them." Do you know someone in life who no matter what they seem to do seem to experience horrible results? Their lives just seem to get worse and worse. They might even think that they are being punished by God for no good reason. Even the Dark Night of the Soul can be seen as a 'bad fruit' born from a life where we are not living in Alignment with our Higher Self. There is a tremendous opportunity there and it is a wonderful experience if you know the right tools to navigate the experience because it can you set back on track so quickly...but it is the fruit of misguidance. There are a lot of people out there who set themselves up as religious authorities or experts. I have no intention of presenting myself as either an authority or an expert on any of this information...I'm just someone who has tasted the good fruit of my labors and I hope to share what I've learned with others who choose to walk this Path with me. However, when choosing teachers...you can always tell who's false and who is true. The way for those who are true seem to be smooth and clear...Thomas Campbell, for example, had the opportunity to write My Big T.O.E. just kind of fall into his lap...and his recent kick starter campaign to help with an experiment that will help prove his work was achieved effortlessly. He asked and he received almost as fast as he could ask (here is a YouTube video on the subject: ) Then you have people like David Wilcock for whom, if you listen to him, nothing seems to go right. Even on his website he begs for donations to, "Keep the lights on." He's faced numerous set backs and he's extremely angry about all of them...choosing to complain and condemn people publicly for disagreeing with him. The people who follow him are fanatical but even in the alternative realm of spiritual thinking he's looked at as illegitimate. The fear he expresses in his teaching is blatantly obvious...sometimes he seems down right paranoid. That's the fruit of his labor showing through. The same can type of discernment can help you make the decision to be friends with someone else. Unfruitful people have learned the label 'toxic' in our current society. Many times the reason that they are toxic lies in their subconscious that they choose not to deal with...and so the toxic behavior is not a conscious decision...but it does affect them negatively...and their constant 'setbacks' they can't wait to share show that they never were nor ever have been on The Path. Discernment is crucial on the Path of the Seeker. As Yeshua explained in 7:13-14 this is not the wide road of popular opinion and group think...this is the narrow scientific questioning approach of going a little way...testing the fruit of your labor to make sure your on the right track...and then proceeding forward. This has been the method of many mystery traditions for millennia- from the Dogon to Yeshua and even Muhammad. When the right question is asked the answer is given. Conclusion I know that I am still working on this stage of the Path of the Seeker. I started off toxic. Yet, as I am right now life is effortless. Things are just flowing to me naturally. What I need when I need it is right there for me...which Bashar accurately described as the meaning of true Abundance. Yeshua said the same thing to his followers when they were full of doubt and negativity... "...seek first the his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Mattehw 6:33 The Soul is more then happy when it starts to see you make spiritual progress on the Path of the Seeker to ensure you continue to forward by making the way clear. The Soul will cast stumbling blocks before that everyone can see if you are stalling or not even on the Path of the Seeker...because it wants you to wake up and be in alignment with the Souls goals. The fantastic thing is that we can work on multiple levels of the Path at once. We are not stuck mastering a particular task where we cannot proceed further. In fact, it's beneficial to work on multiple parts of these systems because they are all interlinked. We may or may not master all aspects of the Path of the Seeker in this life. That's where the belief in reincarnation really comes in handy to alleviate fear and worry. You have eternity and as many human lives ahead of you that it takes to complete the Path. The Soul...and the One Creator...are patient. Sometimes, a breakthrough will occur when we come across something on the 8th step that helps us to better understand the 3rd step. Don't feel blocked if you're not finished with the process involved in one of these steps. You will see results but don't expect to see something extreme. We only receive what is appropriate given where we are on the Path of the Seeker. We can always go back, review and mine this deep information for more insights. For example, revisiting each stage on the four paths I'm currently creating videos for (7 Stages of Alchemy, 7 Sephiroth on the Tree of Life, 7 Hebrew Letters of the Path of the Seeker, and 7 Tarot Card Keys of the Path of the Seeker)....allows me to revisit each of these topics in a new way. I have learned more about each of these steps of these systems by re-reading the sources to summarize them, writing the transcripts for the videos, creating and editing the videos...and finally writing these behind the scene blogs where I can elaborate on the subject further. By the time I reach the end of these blogs I will have revisited the subject 5 times. You would think I would get bored but every time but I am amazed and invigorated by what I learn. Also, with each new system I explore it validates and offers a new perspective that further illuminates the Path of the Seeker. I have now identified 15 Paths of 7 that span every major religion and belief system on this planet! Thank you Brave Soul for walking the Path of the Seeker with me.

Get out your journal. As you listen to the sound meditation (headphones are probably best) focus on the glyph for this stage of Alchemy. When the sound meditation is complete write down any impressions, thoughts or feelings you had from meditating on this symbol no matter how odd. Enjoy!
This is a full Moon of letting go of attachments.
Sometimes that's being attached to objects. a label or a job that you think define you...when, in essence, there can never be and never will be adequate words to define you. You are an eternal spirit of joy with endless potential and such attachments are limiting in their very nature. For others it's friendships or that are no longer serving you. Sometimes these are toxic friendships of co-dependency and reinforcing negativity. Even though you may think you are providing a service to toxic people by trying to help them it never really works...it just reinforces their behavior and you become an enabler. Clinging to friendships whether it's familial, friends or a spouse that's one sided is just unhealthy. Often we remain in such relationships out of fear. People often don't change until they absolutely have to once they hit rock bottom. Some people seem to be descending into darkness with this full moon while others are stepping out into the light for the first time. While others, such as me, have been in the light for some time and we're just doing some fine tuning to prepare for the next cycle...either way, one cycle is ending and a new one full of potential (even if you're in a soul searching Dark Night of the soul) is beginning Whatever the case is here is a couple of music videos that remind me of tonight's full moon. I am currently working on exploring and sharing part of the Kabbalah Tree of Life in detail on my YouTube. There are, however, many different Tree of Life's in different faiths. In Hindu the Bhgavad Gita speaks of the Tree of Life and that our world is a reflection of the Spiritual world. In the Norse myths you have yggdrasil. There is even a Tree of Life in the Native American tradition. This is, then, a Universals Archetype. The Tree of Life has always held meaning for me even when I didn't know what it meant. As you can tell from this drawing I always drew a Form of the Tree of life. The one above is from the late 90's with my first 'awakening' experience. I had inexplicable mystical experiences that prevented me from ever being the typical believer This particular drawing was inspired by my novels based on Merosis. I started writing while I was in high school and I give credit to that discipline for giving me the concentration that aided me accelerating my ability to meditate. No, I never read them but if you travel back in time far enough in this blog you'll find a synopsis. I'm not sure I would publish what I wrote previously (I've rewritten it many times) now that I wrote about were universal archetypes. In this particular drawing there is the Subconscious represented by the watery image on the right. The character on the left is me (I do have a half moon shaped mole on my forehead that actually appeared during this time..and this character was the High Priestess Ryia in my novel which even then I knew was my spiritual aspect), and above is the Higher Self (which was one of three Goddesses in the mythology of the 'world I created' named Tempest). Below is how I depicted the Tree of Life back in 2007ish. At that time I started to have a Spiritual Awakening but I was given a clear message by my Aunt Linda that I never met but I was able to point out in a photo album without help thanks to the dream that no one else was ready. So, I returned to sleep. The woman on the bottom represented the Fall Harvest to me and the woman in the back the Winter with the bubble containing the butterfly and chrysalis symbolizing transformation. Then in 2014 everything dramatically changed. After the death of my daughter I decided to throw caution to the wind and what other people may think of me and went to have a Past Life Regression. That regression would change my life. That was the confirmation I needed that Spirit was real. In a past life regression my guide Aswana and Edgar Cacye interwove their arms with mine and transformed me into a tree. They then 'planted me.' At the time, I didn't know what the heck that meant. Now, I realize that all of us have our own Tree of Life or Chakra System. At the time I was more then willing to die. I had lost all desire for life. My bottom four chakras were reversed or non-functioning. That alone indicated that my will to continue to live didn't exist. I needed to be grounded into this reality again in order to function and that's what the symbolism from this regression represented. I was not familiar with the idea of Grounding on any level. I had some rudimentary but fear based knowledge of the Tree of Life. All of this was very mysterious and dramatic for me. At the time I was very disappointed. I had thought at the conclusion of my last life there would be something waiting for me. People always describe a white light and meeting their family. My Soul was indignant such a thing was suggested as, "I knew the way." I figured I'd see deceased loved ones or something! The regressionist had to ask for my guide to appear and the last person I expected to see was Edgar Cacye. Then the fact that they turned me into a tree and planted me seemed so silly at the time. I had no idea what that might mean. The fact that it has taken 4 years for me to understand that symbolism goes to show how those Universal Archetypes work. Even if you're not entirely comfortable or knowledgeable of a symbol it holds timeless meaning. Iinspired by my Regression I drew the Tree of Life above. The Globes are supposed to represent different lives. As you can tell I had the impression that I had a lot of life experiences. This was an assumption based on the book by Michael Newton that suggested those souls that were not guided to the other side were older souls. Later I would learn that I've only had 7 lives on Earth. Yet, as those globes represent life experiences...well who knows? I've had an odd mystical experience recently that suggests I might have incarnated as something very different from a human prior to coming to Earth. When I was about to receive more information then that it was cut off so I'm guessing I'm not ready for that knowledge. Meeting The Gardner I did a guided meditation by Collette Baron-Reid later in 2014. This involved visualizing a Garden. My garden was overcome with weeds. Yet, it was beautiful and it had this big giant redwood tree at the center of it. There were some fruits and vegetables but they were mostly overgrown. Then I went in, as per the meditation, and met the Gardner. She told me, "Don't you think it's time we wake her up? She's ancient!" I didn't know what all of it meant at the time. Colette gives some instruction in her book The Map but it's not entirely fleshed out. The Garden represents our Subconscious. The state that it's in suggests how we interact with our Subconscious. The plants represent our thoughts. I had a lot of weeds because I wasn't very careful with my thinking (I was down right pessimistic always jumping to negative conclusions and taking things personally). There was no and there still are no real indications of why there would be a Tree of Life in my dream but...in many ways, as the symbol was a strong one for me...it makes absolute sense. When I drew this I was really off balance and confused as all get out...what did encountering the phoenix mean? I had this fantastic Out of Body Experience and that is where I met the Phoenix. (This was prior to me meeting my 'higher self'). This O.B.E. involved the sun initiation I will write about in a post on the Sephiroth Tiphareth on October 24th. Also included my vision of the Sirius star system that I did my best to convey in a piece of artwork here: https://bridgetkorns.weebly.com/blog/getting-on-the-positive-train. As you can see, it's the previous tree of life reversed. The previous tree of fire and the silhouette of my sleeping self at the base of the tree are on fire. My mouth is open in shock and amazement as I see this beautiful phoenix. I didn't know what it meant then. Now, four years later, that I have studied Alchemy in depth and have a feel for what a Kundalini Awakening means...I realize these two concepts are connected. I'm still not entirely comfortable talking about a Kundalini Awakening but based on what little I know, the coiled energy at the base of our spine awakens an travels upward...and if there are any blocks in the chakras above it the result can be a lot of confusion as the energy gets a bit contaminated. However, I can say for sure I understand that this is the first phase of Alchemy called Calcination. I wasn't ready for it then so it kind of caused some weird affects but I don't regret it. Here is a video on Calcinaition: https://www.weebly.com/editor/main.php#/ Also, the reason it's reverse is as the Bhgavad-gita and the Egyptians suggest that physical material reality is a false 'upside down' or 'reflection' of the Tree of Life. So, the upside down tree of life suggests that I was in the Astral/Non-physical reality and not physical material reality Conclusion
I think it's fun to see the evolution of the Tree of Life in my own life. From those first glimmerings to the understanding that I have now of the personal and universal implications of a Tree of Life I see a direct line. This is one of those inexplicable things I just can't deny. In the '90's I was a strict Christian and this sort of thing freaked me out because I thought it was 'unsafe'. Now, I know better...and I wish I hadn't been so ignorant then but I'm sure each stage was necessary.
This Review is about 10 years late.
I freaking adore the hell out of this movie...it get's an A++ with me. I would never admit it before because I was almost ashamed that I loved this movie because so many people showed it *SO* much hate based on one small feature. Being that it falls into the realm of fantasy 'curving bullets' is no more fanciful then most but for some reason it drew real hate. I think that's why I didn't think about this movie when I was making my Top 10 favorite movies list...but I have to add this one on there because it was the first time I sat in a Box Office and really felt I could relate with a character 100%. This movie really impacted my thinking. My husband chose to watch this on Netflix (it always trends really high when it's on there) and I realized I had ever scene memorized. The thing has been engraved on my mind. I had a lot of fun watching it when it came out. The movie was beautifully crafted. I remember it was the first movie that I saw that I flat out laughed when I saw it in theater. If Wanted movie had been made in this day and age it would be far more accepted. The movie came out in 2008. On Rotten Tomatoes it has a 71% rating. I'm pretty sure it was because of the horrendous backlash against this movie in the media and everything that caused me to drop it from my top favorites list. Even Mythbusters got in on the act and did an episode that aired on Netflix about how it's impossible for curving bullets. The harsh backlash over such a stupid small detail when the story was *SO* good always amazed me. Why Do I Think It Failed Cognitive Dissonance. The world was just not ready for this type of movie. Movies goers just didn't like to think of anything that couldn't happen in the real world. Almost all super hero movies were destined to fail. They were looked down on by many. Currently, people have proven they are willing to think outside of the box but film makers, aside from Marvel, and people making original films are still stuck in the past. They haven't evolved to match the imagination of the people... there are a lot of challenges of making a good science fantasy movies and most attempts have missed the mark especially since most movie studios aren't willing to take chances. Hard science fiction movies have always been made and praised in Hollywood. Soft fantasy science fiction is totally different. I always preferred the latter and it does not surprise me the rest of the world does too. I prefer to watch Labyrinth over Contact any day. Hard science fiction tends to be very pessimistic and dark. I think we are heading out of the Dystopian Future type stories now (thank god!). However, one optimistic movie that failed totally and completely was Disney's Tomorrowland and I think that says a lot. Based on older films from the 80's that imagined a positive future today's negative self-centered teenagers and young adults simply couldn't relate to the concepts in that movie. There were crude and gory scenes in this movie but this was the Hollywood and movie goeres that wouldn't have been capable of making or watching a Deadpoool movie. This movie was simply ahead of it's time. Angelina Jolie was the main pull for the movie and she did an amazing job. Her character, named Fox, is the one who brings in the main protagonist. However, most people were probably disappointed she didn't play the main character. James McAvoy, who's proven to be one of the best actors of our Era, was the main character and I loved Wesley. I think it's such a shame that McAvoy wasn't really recognized as the great actor until Split The world, James, was just not ready for you. The same goes with Chris Pratt who played the jerk best friend. My Favorite Parts Every Day Is Exactly The Same- The Zombie Story Wesley's introduction scene, called Wesley's story, is so perfect when it comes to capturing the frustration of the Working Zombie. We've all had that micromanaging insecure jerk supervisor/manager. The Nine Inch Nails song Every Day is Exactly the Same captures the Angst of the modern world. Not to mention I've always loved Tren Reznor who is truly a self-actualized person...he might not be at the Being level but he's probably close.
You Apologize Too Much Chase Scene
I loved the part where Wesly meets Fox and she tells him he apologizes too much. I used to have that issue. She appears to save him. As they flip over the police cruisers he screams, "I'm Sorry!" That always makes me laugh so hard! That was so me before the Path of the Seeker. I felt sorry and apologized for so many things that were not my fault because I had a poor sense of boundaries.
The Training Scene
This one is brutal to watch...but it perfectly shows what it's like to have your Ego/Personality construct taken apart...the fact that it's by force and by someone else is why it's not so simple. Who know's who they are or why they are here? A lot of people have shared that a spiritual Awakening isn't all joy and light. To go through transformation means that you have to break down all of those previous personality structures and admit...I don't know. Wise people readily realize and verbally recognize they are ignorant. No one can know everything and anyone who pretends they do will be humbled eventually.
The Loom of Fate
The other part I loved, as as student of the esoteric, was the scene with the Loom of Fate. Of course, in the Greek tradition we have the three crones who weave the loom of Fate. In the Native American tradition they say the world is created by Grandmother Spider who weaves everything with her web. The Dogon believe something very similar, their Spider woman is named Nana. There is a weft and weave, a pattern, to life and it's fascinating. The esoteric tradition tracks these patterns...the reality we live in is expressed by a sort of mathematic code- the 12 zodiac signs, the 7 classic planets, the 7 chakras, the 7 Tarot Card keys...the pattern is there if you can see it...but people who know about it or are fear based and know a little bit about it have been twisting it for their own benefit for generations.
Fox's Death Scene
I loved this scene too. This proved that Fox actually believed that the Loom of Fate needed to be adhered to no matter what. The fact someone would be willing to sacrifice themselves for the better of the world and placing the needs of the many before her own needs is always refreshing. Of course, it's funny because the Jimmy Buffet Song- If You Like Piniacoladas- has been in a lot of movies recently (Guardians of the Galaxy volume 2 and Deadpool 2, for example).
Finally, the ending is amazing because it shows the transformation that Weasly has gone through as a result of the Fraternity. He's become a self-actualized individual that is proactive in the world instead of pretending to be a robotic zombie.
Conclusion
I guess this was the real first Wake Up call in movies of which I was aware. I find it strange that it does coincides with my First Awakening attempt. At that time I was really into the Annunaki and I could just barely taste the esoteric hints littered throughout this movie. There were hints and I realized there were Archetypes but I didn't know what they meant. The brutal backlash caused me to drop it. Watching it recently I laughed so hard at so many parts again that I was like, "Why the Fuck did I ever pay attention to popular opinion and forget about it?" How I despise Group Think and Peer Pressure but at this point I hadn't figured out myself and faced my demons. I was a total pacifist and hadn't really stepped onto the path of the Seeker even though I had been called. What Wesley goes through is kind of like the Path of the Seeker...you want to know who you are and what the purpose of life is...and not many people are like that. Most are happy with societies rhetoric that life arose from chaotic principals and what you see with your five sense is all you get. We start off a miserable puppet of our Ego/Construct that tells us to play it safe and just go along with what society dictates. We become the usual robotic work zombie never daring to think ourselves or develop our individuality because as far as large governments or empires are concerned that's safe. People who think for themselves might not tow the party lines. When we first wake up we go through the destruction of the Ego/Construct. Wesley had some help with his training but it's never pretty. I'm sure it helps if you know people who have gone through it before. I have a friend named Mikey who was lucky enough to know people who'd gone through it before when he went through his Awakening experience. I wasn't so lucky but thankfully I found the right authors and books at the start...now I have a small group of online friends on a similar path. Then, after all that Wesley has experienced, he has the option of going back to the life he lived. He chooses to take responsibility instead...he doesn't want to be just another Walking Zombie. He takes control of his own life. Little did I know that this movie and how much I adored it was a foreshadowing of what was to come in my own life. I knew it influenced me. I had googled my name and found a result (these days google will put the top search result as whoever pays for it...I found that out back in 2014 when an aspiring co-worker who wanted to be a comedian was pissed my name turns up instant results).
I really try to post videos on Saturday but sometimes it's a little hard.
This video was a tough one to make! After a lot of tears and a lot of memories I whittled down the photos and the videos I had of my Angel Baby which took a long time. Then my husband created this original song for her. Finally, I had to learn some new things...so there were a few learning curves. I know that at the end the words Audio and Technical support are missing "I"'s for some reaosn every time I tried to fix that and saved it...the video reverted back to not having them so I gave up. I don't think it takes away from the rest of the video. This one was a challenge folks. I'm still getting used to life around the house without her. I find it kind of quiet and lonely since she was my constant shadow. She followed me wherever I went and was always laying near by. I know that she had a good life...and I miss her...but I know she's not really gone. She visits in my dreams. I remember when I first came across the concept labeled, "The Return of The Goddess."
I rolled my eyes. Based on how I was raised there is only one 'god' and that's not female. The idea of divine feminine or the idea of the 'return of the goddess' seemed to be pushed by man hating women who wanted to see the patriarchal system fall apart. I didn't believe in a Divine Feminine influene. In the Christian church, as with the Muslim Faith and the customs of Rome and Greece...the importance of females have been completely torn down and undervalued. Yes, there is some respect of females but it's very minor. Women are seen as property with their only importance or contribution being to produce heirs. The way that people value the Subconscious is directly in line with how women have been treated on this planet. You could say that the symbolism of the Female with the Subconscious and the Male with the Waking Consciousness is just a convenient symbol that was created by humanity. Yet, if you work with Universal Archetypes- whether in your dreams, Tarot Systems or Oracle Cards- you learn pretty quickly that the Divine Feminine has a very strong and clear influence. My experience with my dreams has indicated that the Subconscious is always depicted as female. There was absolutely no reason why that should be the case based on my personal direct life experiences. Yes, some symbols are personal to you but when it comes to the Universal Archetypes that is just not the case. The waking consciousness is always depicted as male. My husband, in my dreams, is my egoic-waking consciousness. When I dream about him I know that it has something to do with that state of consciousness and not the actual person. If it does have to do with him as a an actual person the feel is different and he acts differently. Once you start working with both aspects of yourself you can start to create what Dennis William Hauck calls the Overself which is a combination of those two working in harmony which creates a third form of awareness which is close to enlightenment. That is the result of Shadow Work. (Here's my YouTube video on working with the shadow: https://youtu.be/F1cv5oyV_1c ). But I've talked about all of that before and today I want to talk about this idea of the Return of the Goddess and what it really means to me. I am not an angry man hater. I do not want to see the straight white men of this world punished for the fact that they were born a 'favored' gender. I don't believe in revenge. Return of the Goddess What does that mean exactly? Do I think a female goddess is going to show up somehow and change everything? No, I see it more as the Divine Feminine. A growing respect for the women in the world and an equalization with men. The going is a bit tough because women face more complications then me- for example, childbirth. The process has been slow. The women's sufferage movement started in the 1840's but didn't become nationally accepted in the United States until nearly 100 years later in the 1920's. The process has been sorely misunderstood by main stream society. Again, the man haters get most of the attention but most women just want to be respected as fully equal human partners to the men in their lives. Whenever a correction is made, however, it always sends the system a little out of whack for a little while and I think that's mostly what we've been seeing. Implications Recently there have been magnificent Archetypes out there that embody this concept. Doesn't it say a lot that it took over eighty years for strong female characters that can be the main protagonist in their own movies to appear? Even though Hollywood claims to be progressive their attempts have often lacked true perception as it's an industry still run by men. The World has seen correction before...most recently it was the correction of polytheism to monotheism that occurred thanks to Jesus over two thousand years ago. The purely Collective Consciousness had it's time of expression and correction in the days of Lemuria. Conscious/Subconscious Connection The Return of the Goddess doesn't mean that the Subconscious, symbolized by the female archetype, will reign supreme over the Waking Consciousness (often depicted as Male). Instead, it will be a balance where the Subconscious that is so often disregarded starts to be explored. Having the Subconscious become disregarded was also necessary for a time. While the unfortunate side-effect of the Shadow is that it created 'lower worlds' where our disowned issues manifested...it was necessary. Having a disconnection with the Divine and all of the beings of that Realm gave humanity the room to safely explore themselves (other beings are afraid of us...we're like the Klingon's of Star Trek because we can't control our emotions thanks to the existence of the subconscious and the Ego Construct). We were allowed to create our individuality which was paramount for us to maintain a sense of self when we interact with beings of other realms. That's why the enforcement of a robotic emotionless workforce that we are witnessing today is just not working...it's a lame attempt to get back to that Group Consciousness which would completely defeat the purpose of our existence in the School called Earth. That's why it won't sustain itself. We won't be going back to that Collective Consciousness state where we act as One Mind because that wold defeat the purpose of multiplicity. We are leaving the time of the Waking Consciousness/Subconscious duality experience symbolized the strongest in the Age of Pisces by the image of the Two Fish pulling in opposite directions. We're heading into a time where the energetic watery Mind Substance, kept at a minimum for so long, will start to flood everyone...and that's what's leading to the mass awakening. So, really, the return of the Goddess is the recognition of the importance of the Subconscious, the balance of the subconscious with the waking consciousness and a reconnection with Spirit which will help us return to a balance with the rest of Creation. In another light, from looking at the Kabbalah Tree of Life....Malkuth (Kingdom) which fell will be Return to the Tree of Life. All the Angelic beings that were cut off from interacting directly with men so that they could develop themselves will be able to return because we won't be tempted to worship them. The Three Aspects of The Goddess Most ancient male Gods are singular in nature. They don't really have counterparts. (Except for the Christian Trinity, a particular perspective of some of the Egyptian Gods and perhaps the Sumeria/Babylonian Anu, Enki and Enlil). For some reason, the Female Goddesses have always been worshiped as Three. Wicca, for example, talks about The Virgin, The Crone and the Mother. Usually, this is attached to the three phases of the moon. So, it makes sense. You could rationalize it as simply worshiping an aspect of Nature. New Moon = The Virgin. The Mother = Full Moon. Waxing Moon = Crone. Yet, the practice is even older then that... The Divine Mother In Kabbalah there are only two females...Binah (Knowledge), who represents the Primordial Waters from which all of Creation is made....and Malkuth (Kingdom). The most Ancient depiction and documentation of the Three Goddesses that we have dates back to Egypt. The three Goddesses are Hathor, Isis and her sister Nephthys. All of their glyphs consist of Falcons. Hathor is described as the Bull. Isis is the bright sister associated with the star Sirius and Nepthys is her dark sister most likely representing Sirius B. Isis/Hathor are often considered the same being (with documented worship of Hathor occurring prior to that of Isis and Hathor- in some texts- being Isis' (and therefore Nepthy's) mother). You might see where I'm going here... There is another set of triple Goddesses that Laird Scranton has pin pointed but there's not much documentation about them. That's the Hindu goddesses usually referred to as the Sakti. The two sisters names are Dharni Penu and Tana Penu. There isn't much there to describe but it does seem to point to the same connection between Sirius A and Sirius B. In his most recent book on the Maori Laird recently explained the Maori of New Zealand, in compliance with the ancient cosmology he has identified, also seem to have two sisters associated with Sirius A and Sirius B: " A Maori word for "sister", tuakana, is formed on the root tua which is cosmological phonetic for "star" in some cultures. In keeping with one of the signatures of the cosmology, the Maori conceive of Sirius as the Dog Star, and refer to it as Takurua. Similarly, there is a tradition of sisterly instruction among the Maori known as a Tuakana-Teina relationship." Even more fascinating is a paragraph I just read today in Paul Foster Case's book on Alchemy, "The term "Catholic Magnesia," mentioned in a prior section, is often employed as a name for the First Matter. The adjective, "catholic," is to be understood as meaning "universal, infinite, all-pervading." As employed in alchemy, "magnesia" means Magnos Lithos, or lodestone and thus refers to the magnetic power peculiar to that mineral. According to exoteric derivations, the magnet is named after the place Magnesia, in Thessaly. Occultists are aware, however, that both "magnet" and "magic" are related to the Sanskirt terms Mahat and Maya. The Catholic Magnesia, or Universal Magnet, is the universal attractive principal and is a mode of consciousness,or intelligence. Therefore it is correctly symbolized by that Tarot Key which presents the Uniting Intelligence. Furthermore, the title of that Key, High Priestess, means "chief feminine elder" and thus intimates what we have found to be a characteristic of chemical and yoga descriptions of the Prima Materia. They all agree that the mysterious power is feminine in its quality, and again and again they use the pronoun "she" in referring to it." (pg 66 Hermetic Alchemy by Paul Foster Case) This passage reminds me of how Thomas Campbell describes the original state of the cosmos before Physical Material Reality existed. He calls this A.U.O. (Absolute Unbounded Oneness). He leaves all of the mystical information out, the connection to the feminine (in fact he refers to it as male- typical male thing to do when you go off the beaten track and try to leave Big Theory's of Everything that belonged to previous generations in the dust) but he describes it in plain terms I appreciate: "...Let's start with the most difficult concept first, the one that appears mystical from the PMR (physical matter reality) point of view. This concept assumes the existence of an apparently (not necessarily actually) infinite absolute something: A Oneness that is uniform, plain, and without differentiation. This apparently infinite source of our larger reality has no discernible boundaries, edges or limits (as a perfectly calm ocean would appear to you if you were floating in the middle of it). This something would seem to be, and has often been called, "All That Is," "The One," "The Void," "The Primordial Big Dude", and other similar philosophical descriptions. It represents the fundamental core of existence. It is a familiar concept to various religious and spiritual conceptualizations. An absolute no-thing, pervasive, yet existing beyond our space and time. It is simultaneously everything (in potential) and nothing (no-thing, no differentiation or boundaries). There is a lot of information from Laird Scranton I could use to further expand on this thread of thought but I'm digressing. Suffice to say that this A.U.O., as Thomas Campbell calls it, is a universal concept shared by many cultures. I will throw in but one more thing which is from Indigenous/Native American author Jamie Sams to illustrate this is a multi-continent and multi-racial depiction in every cosmology: "The Mayans call the center of our universe the Huna K'u'. The Southern Seers call this place the heart of the Great Mystery. That heart of all contains the pregnant void of Creation and exists beyond the enormous bright light that people see in near-death experiences. Beyond chaos and beyond order, the heart of the universe contains such a vast nothingness that Dream Weave explorers can become lost or consumed by the void. The heart of the Great Mystery is the original Sacred Point of View, which created this universe. The void is unknown and unknowable because it contains all that has not taken on energy or developed form." pg 220 Dancing the Dream by Jamie Sams Now, there is the A.U.O. that is unchanging. We're not really part of that aspect of creation. We are part of A.U.M. This is the Absolute Unbounded Multiplicity...the one becoming many. Hence, why Bashar refers to this part as "the Broken Mirror." We contain everything that A.U.O. contains but we each sense our separation. The Chaotic Waters Of Creation What came first, of course, were the chaotic waters. This is described by Laird Scranton in his books. He describes a primordial darkness that was disturbed by the perception of self (which he associates with light) and that made it chaotic. This might be why a Physical Matter Reality was required. That original state, which we can tune into when we work with our Subconscious- the Collective Conscious- is chaotic. Plus, in that state each individual shard was very slow to learn because they had no restriction....restrictions and limitations help us learn about ourselves. Also, due to the dream I have become aware of the connection to Tamas. I had a dream that my "tamas" was activated. I first thought it was the word Tammuz, a Sumerian God, but it wasn't right. I knew it wasn't the name Thomas but it sounded similar. This is an 'activation' that I have been fighting for a bit. I resisted this 'activation' for a long time. There were multiple dreams where I was like, "Nope." Working with this information about the Goddess or Subconscious allowed for this to finally happen. Here's what Wikipedia states Tama's is, " The Vedic word támas refers to "darkness" ... is one of the three Gunas (tendencies, qualities, attributes), a philosophical and psychological concept developed by the Samkhya school of Hindu philosophy.[1] The other two qualities are rajas (passion and activity) and sattva (purity, goodness). Tamas is the quality of imbalance, disorder, chaos, anxiety, impurity, destruction, delusion, negativity, dullness or inactivity, apathy, inertia or lethargy, violence, viciousness, ignorance." I need to study that subject more in depth but this is just one of those instances where our dreams will indicate the next step on our path. Rajas defintely equates to the Male/Sun/Waking Consciousness energy. I'd say that Sattva probably has to do with this concept of the Overself. The Overself is the balance of the conscious waking mind (Rajas?) and the subconscious (Tamas)....into a new form where both are in balance with each other...which is would be a far more pure form of consciousness. The Sun and Moon As I explained in my Travelers Notes on Integrating the Shadow (here is the link) the sun and moon are traditionally connected to two deities. One is Female and One is Male. The Female is usually depicted as the Circle or Moon or the Compass (because it makes a circle). This is the latent energy of the void...or what Thomas Campbell called A.U.O. (Absolute Unbounded Oneness.) In A.U.M. this is the Collective Consciousness (which is currently the collective Subconscious). In Hindu traditions this would be called Brahmen. The Male is usually depicted as the Square or Sun or the tool called the Square (because it makes a square). This is the active energy a part of which is physical matter reality (what Thomas Campbell calls P.M.R.) and it's A.U.M. (Absolute Unbounded Manifold). In the Hindu traditions this would be Atman. There are two popular symbols showing this imagery. One is the Chinese Goddes and God Nuwa and Fuxi. The other is the Free Masons Square and Compass. Freemasons often talk about 'squaring the circle.' Is it necessary that one is male and the other female? Not really but for some reason the subconsious always represents these concepts this way in dreams and in through creative works such as movies and books. Don't believe me? These dream symbols were so prevalent that Carl Jung was drawn into studying Alchemy and wrote more then one book on the subject...which are pricey. Our Personal Sun and Moon Well, all of that is well and good but what does that mean for you personally? The most important factor this plays in our personal life is what I covered this in my video about Integrating the Shadow. Here the principal of "As Above so Below" comes into place. Our Consciousness is a miniature replica of the One Creator. We will see the imagery of the male/female dynamic a lot when we go through the 7 Tarot Keys of the Path of the Seeker. The Subconscious is our watery/emotional female circle energy. Our Conscious is the fiery/action oriented male square energy. We, like the One Creator- are divided into two. The Path leads us to reconcile this duality within ourselves. We do this by bringing our Subconscious into an interactive relationship with our Consciousness. This process leads to the Ego/Persona dissolving. That doesn't mean that our waking consciousness that perceives itself separately from everything dissolves. We are still "Me" in every essence of the word and can sense that others are "You" but we have an appreciation that we are both separate and one on another level of perception that we can tune into at will. We can start to recognize how we affect the Collective Subconscious and work with it in order to ensure that the Will of the Creator is acted out on Earth. We shouldn't be waiting for Jesus or some other figure to return to do the work for us...we can start that work right now. Conclusion I think it's beautiful how our society reflects back what's happening on the Collective Subconscious level. I really find it neat that we are headed into a period where the importance of the Subconscious is being known. The Collective (sub)Consciousness coming to the fore now is also very important. There is almost a universal sense of humanity being at a cross roads. Bashar calls it the two train tracks which I explained here: https://bridgetkorns.weebly.com/blog/the-two-trains-timeline-metaphor-decoded. I don't know about you but I prefer to be on the train with the happy ending. Most of the turmoil we see in the world is the result of people fighting this influx of subconscious energy. This brings a lot of the shadow elements, a persons real beliefs and hatreds to the surface, how they respond to that is entirely up to them and indicates which path they are going to choose. That's why more people are losing their psychological marbles on a more public scale. With the energy from Spirit so increased they cannot hide from the demon of their repressed subconscious any longer. All are eternal beings, they just might not be capable of going into the New Age because they haven't learned the lessons necessary to be individuals operating in conjunction with the One Creator. They're still developing their sense of self...and there is no judgement. All of us who are ready were once there...many lives ago. We live in wonderful and amazing times.
I had been hearing this song everywhere...
After watching a scene in Deadpool 2 back in June when Cable get's into the truck he stole after traveling forward in time...and after hearing it the night before at the end of the chase scene in Wanted I decided to check this song out. Why this Synchronicity? Is this just a popular song in movies that I like and the rare occasions I went out shopping? Here is the scene from Wanted...it's played at the end of the chase scene:
Plus, this song is used in Guardian's of the Galaxy Vol. 1. I feel connected to this movie as much as I do Frozen. I remember when the Rock (Groot) asked everyone to go out and see it. No one thought it was going to be good...but The Rock asked and so my husband and I headed out to see it and it became one of my absolute favorites. Here is the scene from Guardians of the Galaxy:
The Song is, "Escape, if you like Pina Colada's," originally by Rupert Holmes
Yes, yes, I suppose it's just a coincidence that all three movies that I loved would have this song. However, more then likely there is a reason the film makers included it in their movies...due to the Collective Consciousness.
So, I figured I'd go ahead and give the entire song a listen for giggles.
Well, it was a very entertaining read. Here are the lyrics: I was tired of my lady, we'd been together too long Like a worn-out recording, of a favorite song So while she lay there sleeping, I read the paper in bed And in the personals column, there was this letter I read "If you like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain If you're not into yoga, if you have half-a-brain If you like making love at midnight, in the dunes of the cape I'm the lady you've looked for, write to me, and escape" I didn't think about my lady, I know that sounds kind of mean But me and my old lady, had fallen into the same old dull routine So I wrote to the paper, took out a personal ad And though I'm nobody's poet, I thought it wasn't half-bad Yes, I like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain I'm not much into health food, I am into champagne I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon, and cut through all this red tape At a bar called O'Malley's, where we'll plan our escape" So I waited with high hopes, then she walked in the place I knew her smile in an instant, I knew the curve of her face It was my own lovely lady, and she said, "Oh, it's you" And we laughed for a moment, and I said, "I never knew" Why Is It Consistently Used? This song does fit the movies that it's featured in very well. All of those movies were about unhappy misfits that were figuring out their role in the world. 1. Wanted- Wesley was bored with his life. He learned to have a better relationship with life in general...it didn't require a physical escape or even the ability to google his name but a change in perception/paradigm (which is a hallmark of the Spiritual Path of the Seeker). 2. Guardian's of the Galaxy- A movie about a bunch of misfits that are brought together who really didn't have anything. Drax had his wife and had no reason to continue. Star Lord had lost his mother and been abducted. Gamorrah had lost her family. Rocket was an experiment so he never had anyone except Groot. Yet, after finding each other, forming into a team, and saving the galaxy they have a new paradigm. 3. Deadpool 2 : Deadpool really went on his own. He considered the word Family to be an F word...in other words something undesirable. After losing Vanessa and then forming the X-Force he realizes there are group of people that support him. That changes his paradigm and he no longer has a desire to go it alone.
In all of these movies the protagonist discovers that it is a shift in paradigm.
That's why this song fits all of those movies perfectly. The song also fits the Path of the Seeker because you realize, once your far enough along, that you already knew all of the answers and that you had all the tools you needed for your transformation. That's the perfect escape...the answer to how to make ourselves happy is always there...we just need to learn to see it sometimes. Sometimes, you just need a little bit of help, a "permission slip" to perform the task of self-transformation...but the outer world is still the same...you just perceive it differently. Goodness knows right now I'm on that learning curve with finding how to stay Positive. I came into this world a pessimist from the start. Reversing that multiple life habit is not easy! Yet, it's been incredibly fun! Apparently, right before your birthday a cycle ends. Francesca Simon talks about this...and what happens is that a bunch of people usually leave your life about that time. The worn out things you don't need or the situations that didn't work for you. Then in the first 52 days after your birthday is when you plant new seeds that will come to fruition the following year. So, that is probably why this song seems appropriate. I'm 'escaping' in a way by shedding the old me and making way for something new (her name is Michelle). <3 |
