This post is mostly inspired by a dream I don't understand.
Then I read in Daniela Abravanel's book about how the Greeks were so intimidated by the "Seven Gates of Righteous Knowledge" of the Noahide movement that they tried to invade Israel. I have not read about the Seven Gates of Righteous Knowledge but I plan on picking up a book on that subject very soon. As it's an other system of seven that I did not know about I will, of course, cover it in my series on 7's which will go well into next year. All I do know is that Daniela Abravanel said that these teachers were of the heart and not of the mind and that is what enraged the Greeks. That a heart based belief system was influencing their country was not acceptable. I had no idea that the entire story behind the Menorah was actually in celebration of the defiance of the Greeks. The Greeks had tainted the oil of the Hebrew Temple but one flask remained which should have only lasted a day. When the Greeks used that flask to keep the sacred menorah in the temple alight it lasted an entire week...in defiance of the Greek reliance on the Intellect and not Faith. At the same time that the Temple continued worship as usual thanks to that one flask the army of Israel that was tiny compared to the Greeks...triumphed over them. Where is the movie of this story? I think it's far better then the 300. The Folly Of Sophia Where do we start in Philosophy 101 classes? We always start with Greece and Thales of Miletus...then we go on to to Plato and Socarates. The entire concept of Philosophy comes from Greece. Philosophy is based on the Goddess Sophia who symbolizes wisdom or the intellect. The very word Philosophy means, "The love of Sophia." Really, thought, it's not Wisdom that they worship...but the intellect and logic. The Romans adopted the concept into Christianity by using the term Haiga Sophia which means Holy Wisdom as another name for the Holy Spirit. The problem is that the Greeks say they worshiped Wisdom but in my study of Philosophy I came to the firm conclusion that Philosophy is mostly about the intellect. Philosophy, as it has come to be known and was represented by what I have studied...is about elaborate logic and thinking above all else. Yet, logic and memorization does not truly represent wisdom. For all intents and purposes the 'lovers of Sophia' tend to sit in their lofty ivory towers of thought and do not mingle with the common people. They are so much in their version of reality that a lot of philosophy- especially the modern stuff- just sounds like someone babbling to me. The stuff is nonsense and non-applicable to the average every day life. The things they waste their time pondering and thinking about are so minute in detail and their books...don't affect anyone. Maybe at one time intellectual academic philosophy had some impact on the life of the average person...but these days if you go up to a random person at a grocery store and ask them to quote or even name a modern philosopher...they probably can't. I know I can't...the last philosopher that I really had a appreciation for was Descartes (I think therefore I am). Modern philosophers are just not quoted or write anything helpful to the average person today. Most people are more likely familiar with popular self-help books which might be erroneously associated with philosophy. Modern Worship Of Sophia The idea that the intellect alone represents wisdom has plagued Western society for centuries. Just look how we supposedly determine a person's IQ today...we test their memory. That's the only thing that an IQ test really does...it doesn't test a person's ability to critically think...just memory and the ability to recall that information in a short period of time. Those who have studied the results of IQ tests admit that they are inadequate and have no correlation with the ability of a person to solve problems. This one of the reasons the IQ test fell out of favor when it comes to College entrance exams. Studies have also indicated the IQ tests fail to indicate if a person will perform well as an employee. The even stranger thing is that employers are starting to realize that a college degree is no longer an indicator of whether or not a person will be a good employee. Goldman Sachs has announced about a year ago that they will no longer require degrees because they found employees without degrees were more motivated. Clearly, if it becomes a trend to not require a college education to earn a well paying job it indicates the merit and value of a college education is over rated. In many ways colleges enforce Group Think and conformity instead of creativity. While these are valuable traits on a factory assembly line these traits are detrimental to anyone entering a management or creative field that requires thinking 'outside of the box.' After all, the most recent brilliant mind that has transformed the Western Landscape is Bill Gates...a college drop out. Clearly, a rebellious spirit helped him to inspire and create one of the most innovative technological companies of our time. Yet, we continue to use the statement, "Knowledge is power." There is the possibility, because a college education has become so common, that it will soon be looked upon as equivalent to a high school diploma. Not very long ago it was more common that people dropped out in high school and so a high school diploma was valued. Yet, that's no longer the case. Our current education system, instead of helping people to develop into fully capable human beings focuses on creating 'Robots' out of people. This emphasis on comformity completely stamps out creativity. Just look at how all of the creative programs in school have been 'eliminated due to budget'...Art, Music, Autoshop, Woodshop and even Home Economics. Only the classes where a person is required to memorize and spit back the information remain in our educational system...which is why it is so inadequate. Part of this is in response to tests. George Bush Jr. decided that tests, despite evidence to the contrary, was the way to evaluate a student and schools rate of success when it comes to teaching. This backwards point of view has lead to schools catering tests to secure funds and completely eliminating all Critical Thinking skills and creativity from the curriculum. The result is that we went from having one of the top educational system in the world to number 17...officially middle of the pack. We're not the worst but we are far from being the best. Lawmakers, of course, and people in the education field want to blame the amount of money spent on education as the reason...but the truth is as the world changes education has failed to change. Instead, they just produce the same, "Bricks," that inspired the song, "Another Brick in the Wall," by Pink Floyd in 1979. That's almost forty years with no significant change even as the work force and the landscape of the United States economy has completely transformed. Emotional Intelligence Since workplaces are constantly striving to find a way to have an edge over competitors and to hire better employees it's not suprising they identified Emotional Intelligence as factor. Emotional intelligence is not easily tested. Here, for once, the subconscious minds and it's emotions have been identified but this area is completely foreign territory for most intellectuals. Psychology has stagnated in that last sixty years becoming very political correct and ineffective. For the most part, this is because intellectuals have reduced consciousness to being a mere chemical formula produced by the brain and, even though our knowledge of the chemicals and parts of the brain remain stupendously low, the acceptable treatment is to try to artificially change the brain chemicals to affect behavior. With behavior and emotions arising from chemicals how can one reasonably determine emotional intelligence? The very thinking that produces this system of ideas creates an almost impossible situation for companies to identify Emotional Intelligence. Since it is difficult to determine emotional intelligence with the current model we have of consciousness educational systems haven't been able to create a class to teach this skill. In the future there is no doubt that emotional intelligence will be an important factor employees will try to identify in the future workforce. True Wisdom Honors The Heart In the West, when we think of Wisdom traditionally we completely separate it from the heart. We think of knowledge and intellect. Not very long ago, in a group that I used to belong to, someone asked, "What is the difference between knowledge and wisdom?" My answer was simple but received a lot of likes, "Knowledge is memorization and wisdom is born of experience of applying that knowledge in every day life." You can memorize all of the Spiritual Teachings on this planet and still be a rotten person. The key thing isn't being able to recite facts on cue, like contestants on an episode of Jeopardy...but apply that information in your daily life. Applying the information has to come from a pure intent to want to change born from admitting that the old models and frameworks we have operated our lives on our inadequate. Usually, these paradigms are inherited from parents or society....and because of peer pressure and Group Think it's very hard to change them. Pure intention can only come from the Heart which is the seat of will power. Without pure intention any endeavor we attempt is doomed to failure because we will not give it the attention needed to achieve our goals. A half attempt is a full failure. Having access to and possessing memorized information but failing to apply it is worse the ignorance because it indicates a willful intent not to do what is right. On A Personal Note In my blog, "The Spiritual Test I Failed," (I ill attach a link at the end of this section) I explained how the healer I went to told me that I had "escaped" through my intellect but that, "Wasn't supposed to work." I've always been heart centered in this life. I would go so far to say that I was at the mercy of my emotions instead of accepting them as the tools that they are...and as a result I tried to repress and deny them. My problem in this life has been the complete opposite of the majority of society. I was too sensitive...to heart based. In my recent studies I've discovered that have to have a good amount of Earthiness (Intellect) and Water (subconscious) to function properly. Having an over abundance in either direction requires a person to work on their balance. That is why I found a way to 'escape' through my intellect. What did she mean by escape? Well, I didn't ask her directly at the session because of that dream. I really already knew what she meant. I can, with the right balance of my intellect and emotions, navigate through life far more effectively and manifest abundance for myself in all of it's forms. The most important form, of course, being Bashar's identification of, "Doing what you want when you want to do it." I'm still working on maintaining that balance between the emotions and intellect. Too much intellect leads to overthinking which becomes a stumbling block. Too much emotion leads to fear and stagnation. Maintaing that balance can be considered the Middle Way of Buddhism and the center path of Mildness (or the Path of the Arrow as Dion Fortune called it) upon the Kabbalah Tree of Life. I think it's because of the over abundance of inutitive emotion that I hold that I had to work my way Down the Chakras....when most people have to work their way up. I teach the Ascending Path because that is the most commonly needed path in society...but I am a little bit of the opposite of most people in this world. The Spiritual Test I Failed Blog: https://bridgetkorns.weebly.com/blog/the-spiritual-test-i-failed Conclusion I find it funny that we don't realize this tendency to deny the value of emotions and subconscious in preference to the Intellect comes straight from the Greeks. The Greek legacy on the world and how they shaped Western culture tends to be understated in the history books. The Greeks were simply wrong to have worshiped the intellect at the expense of the emotions. The end product of their obsession with the intellect has lead to a Western World where people try to be robots obsessed with the material world. The intellect also insists on competitiveness and rivalry...justifying immoral, "The ends justify the means," type of thinking and back stabbing in the political or corporate worlds. Worshiping the intellect comes at the expense of not developing the soul...which, from all of my studies, is the purpose of humankind. Knowledge does not mean that we have to turn our back on having an emotionally fulfilling spiritual life. One does not have to exclude the other. The way forward for humankind is to find a balance between the intellect and emotions. When we try to intellectualize emotional needs we end up with totalitarian governments that stifles creativity and promotes censorship. Only the symptoms of the deeply rooted problems that are plaguing our society can be treated by the intellect. To treat the source of the disease people need to go to the root of the problem and enter the fluid realms of the emotions and subconscious. There they will recover the ability to comprehend what happens to the least of us on Earth affects all of us...and we can start to help the people who are suffering most by teaching them how to be whole and complete beings by accepting and working with their subconscious emotions...which will end the need for addictions of all kinds. A well rounded educational system needs to inspire students to be creative and teach them emotional coping skills. Those emotional coping skills will give rise to the interpersonal skills that the student will need to work well as a group with others. This will benefit all of humanity. I have mentioned Orion and Ophiuchus in previous posts.
The fascinating thing is that the reason that Ophiuchus is now included in the Zodiac (although most astrologers haven't updated their material because they are clinging to past traditions) is that the pole of the planet has shifted...just as Edgar Cacye predicted. Here is an article on this topic from the Edgar Cacye A.R.E. https://www.edgarcayce.org/about-us/blog/blog-posts/edgar-cayces-axis-pole-shift/. As the article states Edgar Cacye stated: "When there is a shifting of the poles or a new cycle begins." The shift, Edgar Cacye explained, didn't have to be destructive. He explains that it is only if humanity is stubborn and resists change that the shift would be destructive. I have quoted what NASA said about Ophiuchus and the fact that the pole has shifted just a couple of degrees enough for that sign to be included in the Zodiac. The sun is in the sign of Ophiuchus for approximately 18 days which is the shortest of the zodiac signs. The Sun is in Ophiuchus from November 21st to December 18th. The arrival of Ophiuchus as a legitimate member of the Zodiac demonstrates that we have entered the new age. Now, this story originally broke back 2 years ago with a NASA article that was just for fun making the argument that because of the pole shift Ophiuchus should be included in the Zodiac. However, because people are entrenched in their point of view and seem to think that Science and Spirituality should not mix NASA was attacked for the article. Some news sources dismissed the article out right with headlines like, "No NASA didn't change your zodiac sign." Of course, such a title just implies a knee jerk opinion based reaction to a popular subject.
Orion
We associate the constellation of Orion with Greek myths because...at the end of the day it was the Greek and Roman's who executed the most control over Western thinking. Therefore, we see Orion as holding a sword but when looking at the image of the constellation with an unbiased eye...the image is very different. Orion appears to be holding a bow that he has just shot. The bow and and his face are directed upwards towards the Bull which goes by it's Latin (i.e. Roman) name of Taurus. In the Jewish tradition Sin is not some sort of crime that we commit. Sin is simply "Missing the Mark." The center of a Target is traditionally called, "The Bulls Eye." The reason the center of an archery target is called a bulls eye has been lost to the mists of time much like so much else thanks to the burning of stores of knowledge such as the Library of Alexandra by the Roman Church. However, as you can see, Orion's bow is pointing to the bulls eye. I believe I have discovered the meaning of this in my blogs on the topic of the bull, in particular the most recent and in Humanity's Purpose Part II: The Bull Revisited: https://bridgetkorns.weebly.com/blog/the-bull-symbol-revisited Humanity's Purpose Part Two: https://bridgetkorns.weebly.com/blog/humanitys-purpose-part-two Orion is symbolic of the Primordial Being that our cosmos, which we think is so vast and huge, belongs to and this has huge implications. First, it implicates why the One Creator does not have a direct hand in what happens to humanity...that we are deciding our own destiny for the most part as part of a grand experiment that is occurring within the Sephiroth of the Adam Kadmon. This is partly symbolized for the image of the Hebrew Aleph which is One and separate from the rest of the Hebrew Alphabet (Bet, the second letter of the Hebrew Alphabet starts the Torah- the original name for the first five books of the Old Testament- not Aleph.) Second, it is therefore symbolic of Humanity as a whole. With Orion aiming for the Bullseye we are aiming to, "Hit the Mark,' spiritually and return to the One Creator restoring our part of creation to Order. This story is explained in the blog Humanity's Purpose: https://bridgetkorns.weebly.com/blog/humanitys-purpose The bull symbolizes the Willful Separation of mankind with the Creator for selfish purposes. As Rav Michael Laitman explains in The Path of the Kabbalah...when we choose to receive only for ourselves and keep ourselves selfishly cut off from the rest of the Creation we are "sinning." The idea that we can be Separate and have a will of our own sent our inner Soul into Chaos because it's impossible and conflicts with our deepest level of knowing. This is similar to a computer that is trying to boot up but can't connect with the hard drive...it will just show an endless cycle of trying to reconnect but has no ability to know why it cannot connect. This perception within us is what we seek to correct while in PMR (Physical Matter Reality- a term coined by Thomas Campbell). While being PMR can helps us accelerate what Thomas Campbell calls lowering our entropy (lowering the chaos within ourselves). Campbell further explains that as each of us lowers our entropy we help the entire system he calls AUM (Absolute Unbounded Multiplicity) to do the same...in essence AUM is Adam Kadmon. Adam Kadmon separated himself from the Creator by using his Will to receive the Light of the Creator solely for the purpose of Receiving which sent his Kabbalah Treet of Life which we are a part of into chaos as I explained in the Malkuth YouTube video: https://youtu.be/bFqEar6yelM. To fix this we must depart on the Path of the Seeker and remedy the broken vessels within ourselves- our Sephiroth- which is an entirely Psychological journey. We are solely responsible for the correction of our own Vessels (which can be equated to the Chakras). When we take on this responsibility it is a service to Creation and to the One Creator helping us align with our Highest Good. To truly return to the Creator we have to surrender all of the parts of ourselves that we consider "ourselves" that causes us to be separate. At our essences we are One with all of Creation and there is no separation. Any and all separation that exists within the consciousness of our Soul.
Ophiuchus
When Adam Kadmon used his Will improperly, to receive solely for himself, fear rose up within him for defying the One Creator. This Fear was called The Serpent in the Garden of Eden causing Adam and Eve to hide themselves with clothes from the One Creator. They stopped sharing fully with the One Creator all of their experiences...they had cut themselves off consciously from the One Creator in shame and fear. The One Creator then backed off, giving mankind the space to reconcile this chaos within themselves. Later, in the book of Revelation the Dragon that the Seeker who wrote that book confronts...is the same Serpent but grown very large. (Refer to Edgar Cacye on the Revelation). That Fear, on our individual spark level, became the Ego which seems to have a life of it's own and can truly behave as a dragon at times. Not only do we see this struggle in the bible but with Thor- said to be the God of this world who wrestles the Midgard Serpent- and the Egyptian serpent Apep in the Egyptian book of the dead. Knowing that the snake represents this primordial fear of the One's Creator's wrath that continues to keep us separate and raises the chaos within us giving rise to Ego...you can start to see the significance of Ophiuchus. In the constellation of Ophiuchus we see that Adam Kadmon/Thor has conquered the Serpent at long last. This is symbolic for humanity, as people in the 'new age' movement are aware that we have it that Critical Mass to help us shift us into a new state of being. Now, we know that not everyone within PMR is ready for this as Bashar explained in his Two Trains Metaphor. I wrote about this recently in this Blog: https://bridgetkorns.weebly.com/blog/the-two-trains-timeline-metaphor-decoded Victor Oddo recently validated what I wrote in the blog in YouTube video which he called the New Divide because the distance between these two frequencies or train of thought has become wider: https://youtu.be/06xOYPzZ4rE?t=12m35s Conclusion To me it's strange to be going back to concepts that I have explored- the Bull in 2017 and Ophiuchus in 2016 which I didn't fully understand. I honestly dismissed these because they seemed mysterious. I did the same thing with Bashar's train analogy because it didn't really make sense back then. To have all of this become so clear recently and intertwined has been fascinating. In previous cycles when that happened I was always terrified. I think that's because when you do reach this point you do have to face that 'dragon' as I referred to it above. I know it's hard to believe that all of these different cultures spoke of the same period of time and the Return of the Hearts of Humanity to the One Creator. We are so conditioned by modern sciences and academia that all societies in history existed in a vacuum...that it's chaos and nonsense so don't bother trying to make sense of things. That point of view even gives us a sense of security that we are the precipice of humanity and we know umore then our ancestors. However, instead of feeling insecure about it these connections confirm for me that All Paths Lead To The One Creator. Since the One Creator is the underlying pattern of PMR it only makes sense that it would be everywhere. Yet, as I said, the importance is that we are at that Turning of the Wheel at the start of a new cycle where (some of us at least) will finally let go of that Fear and this planet will become more truly spiritual. This will be a time of Inclusiveness as we as a species on a Collective Consciousness level realize our Oneness and that ruthless competition is a self-defeating concept. When we realize that we are One the emphasis on winning and losing will fade away as the pure nonsense it has always been. At the same time we will respect individuality. Just for fun here is the song New Divide by Linkin Park.
This is another week where I didn't write a blog to go with this video prior to when I'm posting this. I've had further revelations on thus subject in the recent weeks so this does work out. I will leave the links to the blogs I mention at the end of this brief commentary.
I would like to note that it is interesting that we studied the Hebrew letter Nun as it is associated with the current Jewish month of Marchesvan...which either starts this week or next. (https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/526874/jewish/The-Jewish-Month.htm). First, on further meditation I relized that the 7 rays represent the rainbow. In the bible the rainbow was created after the Earth was almost cleansed with the flood. That in the bible is when the 7 rays of correction was created as a promise not to wipe out this part of creation again. Now, it is important to recognize that when the term Lord is used it refers to a particular level of the Creator. First there is Yod, Heh, Vav, Heh....that is the first level...the source of our neck of the woods. Then there is the Eloheim, the brick layers associated with the Angels which is why Eloheim is plural and the Sephiroth Geburah which we will discuss in detail later. Then there is the Lord which is a step loerthen that associated with Adam and Tiphareth. That explains why the Lord would try to destroy our part of creation. Second is this fascinating quote from Laird Scranton's book Decoding Maori Cosmology: "Similarly, the name (Wharekura) was also understood to define a circular enclosure at whose symbolic center rested the notion of a creator god, a deity named Kahukura, who was known as the rainbow god. In Point of Origin, we discussed similar symbolic associations between the circular base of a shrine and colors of light, along witha center point that was deemed to represent all of the colors combined." pg 116 That prompted me to look at the book Point of Origin by Laird Scranton: "We have discussed ways in which the Dogon egg-in-a-ball figure defines the cardinal points of space in relation to an axis. Adrian Sondgrass describes a tradition in Buddhism that associates the colors of the rainbow with spatial symbolisim as a kind of color wheel that is an effective match for the Dogon egg-in-a-ball figure. It is based on a circle that has also been divided into four quadrants by two axes. In regard to color, the diffracted image of a rainbow represents the full spectrum of visible light, and so could be said to relate to the concept of light in it's totality. In this Buddhist figure, the color white, which is deemed to contain within itself all of the other colors of the rainbow, is associated with the same center point of the circle that defines the creator-god Amma in the Dogon egg-in-a-ball figure. The other pimary colors are set out in relation to this central point, with red, blue, and yellow plotted at the cardinal points of the east, north, and south respectively. The color gree, which we know from an artistic perspective is a mixture of the colors bue and yellow, is assoiated with the fourth cardinal oint of west and is appropriately situated halfway between blue/north and yellow/south. Conceptualized in this way, all other visible comors radiate from white in the figure, in much the same way that the material universe is said to radiate from Amma in the Dogon tradition." (pg 68) Also, worthy of note is that the Dogon tradition speaks of 7 rays of light which we will discuss in a future YouTube video dedicated to that concept in the future and a blog when I realized that this was much more then a correlate to how our physical reality is created which is Laird Scranton's focus: "The Dogon priests are in agreement with modern astrophysicists when they say that matter begins as waves and is then transformed by an act of perception into what we perceive as particles. The Dogon attribute this transformation to a series of seven vibrations that cause the matter in its wavelike state to draw up and repeatedly encircle. This process ultimately culminates in the rudimentary component of matter that the Dogon call "the egg of the world,"...Based on Dogon descriptions, tese 'eggs' are essentially bubbles of mass or matter, consisting of a series of smaller bublles that were too insubstantial to support their own weight. Each egg is conceived by the Dogon priests in two alternate ways, first as a series of seven rays of a start of increasing length that radiate out from a central point, and next in terms of the imagined spiral that can be drawn to inscribe the endpoints of those radiating rays. " (pg 15-16 Point of Origin) Third, just this week I was reading the book Seven Gates of Righteous Knoweldge and I came across this statement that states those who worship pantheons: "What was the orignal error of Enosh and his generation? In his days, mankind made a great mistake, and the wise men of that generation gave thoughtless and spiritually erroneous advice. They said that God created the stars and the planets as his means to control the world, and He put them in the expanse of the universe, magnified their greatness, and treated them with honor, making them His servants who minster before Him and adminster the world. They reasoned that is therefore logically proper for people to praise the celestial bodies, glorify them and treat them with honor. These people also erroneously decided that it is the will of God that mankind should do this, just as a human king desires that the servants who stand before him should be honored by the common people, for doing so is an expression of honor for the king...Once this mistaken understanding took root in their hearts , they began to build places to worship the stars and planets, and to offer sacrifices to them." pg 24 Intersetingly, John Van Auken shares a story belonging to the Mayan where beings were sent to help save the Earth that was in trouble by sacrficing their hearts into a fire...and each became a planet. I will attach the video of him explaining that story below but you can follow this link to that YouTube video () Finally, this subject reminds me of one of my favorite cards in my Faeries Oracle Cards called Iris Of the Rainbows, a picture of which you will find at the bottomof this blog. The funny thing is I'm writing this blog on a rare rainy day in Southern California. That card accordinng to the book represents: "Iris of the Rainbows Hope. Promise for the future. Blue skies and rain are the realm of Iris, the Rainbow Faery. She dwells at the meeting of air (the element of mind) and water (the element of emotion). She sits, rainbow-hued wings outspread, suspended in midair, partially wrapped in her deep-sky draperies and crowned with iris blossoms. The faery archers tip their arrows in her potent handful of iridescent light. Firing their arrows, they send polychromatic rays into the storm, bringing light to dismal skies and hope to darkened hearts. Beneath the Rainbow Faery the amphibious creatures of a wet earth crouch. The faery frog maiden and the frog (anyone care to kiss him and see what happens?) peer out from their shelter at the storm-wracked world, while the shadowed sun is dimly seen above Iris's head. Sturdy, potbellied gnomes, their toes rooted in the earth, sport sweeping whiskers to prover their entitlement to their single iris crowns, while the helpful faery amphibians hold transparent, rainbow-filled globes for the Rainbow Faery. Everyone, especially Iris herself, is fully absorbed in the task of reclaiming the bright sky from the dark of the storm. In her hand, the light of heaven's bow looks a fragile thing, yet it is the light of hope, the promise of healing and joy to come, and that is one of the most powerful things there is." pg 116 Conclusion Strange as it my seem the emanation of Netzach may be one of correction created specifically for Malkuth. Further, in the four quarters of the aligned Buddhist Shrine (Stupah) assotiated with the primarly colors (with the addition of green) we see the same depiction of Malkuth (Kingdom) found in Kabbalah. The base of the Buddhist shrine, then, could represent Malkuth. I would go so far as to say that the Dogon egg-of-the-world...is the same as the Jewish Yud/Yod. The Yod, as I have covered elsewhere, is seen as a uniique divine spark of Adam, our soul, who was dismembered when Malkuth, which lay in darkness, received the light of the Creator before the appointed time (symbolized by Eve eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge on the first day in Eden when it was forbidden...it is suggested that if she had waited after the first day it would have been fine). All of the aligned shrines that Laird has identified, primarily the Dogon and Buddhist, represent the individual who then grows the egg/seed with personal self-cultivation...which is, in effect, the same experience that the One Creator experienced when the light seperated from the dark in Genesis 3-5. Further, we know Malkuth lies in that watery realm of darkness based on Kaballah and Genesis 1:2, "Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters." Just as the watery realm within represents the subconscious "smokey" mirror in which our unrealized aspects of ourselves lie...so too the "waters of the deep" referred to in the bible may contain the the uncreated aspects of the creation. The 7 rays and those shrines, then, represent the corrections we must go through to regain our rightful place in the creation. I apologize for cutting this short but I examine this concept in more depth in future blogs that are written and scheduled. Even more fascinating is when we explore the 7 paths of the Native American Medicene Wheel...the Medicene Wheel is the same depiction as the Dogon Egg In A Ball. The mere fact that the Native American Medicene Wheel is called a "Medicene" wheel seems to suggest that not only is the Sephiroth of Netzach a form of correction but suggests that the 'egg in the ball' concept is a Universal Archetype. 1. This was my first time leaving my Deer Little One and she did fantastic.
We went out to see Venom. This movie was a bit of a disappointment. I give it a 7 out of 10 because for me they got the most important part right - the charecter Venom. Venom has always, to me, represented the Ego. If this movie generates enough profit it's possible they will make another and maybe hone in on what they got right in this film. I was surprised that there were a generous amount of people in the theater even though the movie was plagued with rumors saying that there were reshoots and there was a lot of negative criticism. I had kept away from the critics and I'm glad I did. If I had listened to my favorite critic (who's fallen into the cliche critic mode now that he's going to film school, sadly, so he's drifting farther away from popular opinions) I wouldn't have gone to see Venom at all. As a Spider Man fan he hated it. That's one major hurlde making movies based on the comics...the creators have to make a unique film that's true to the comics and, yet, fresh enough of a take that the ordinary person who doesn't know the history can enjoy it. That's a tough chasam to straddle but completely possible if looked at from the perspective of- what makes the charecter look cool and what part of human psychology can we explore with this charecter? Let me say that again, the most crucial thing for me going into the film was that Venom was portrayed correctly, and this movie got that right! That's HUGE in my world since we saw the terrible portrayal of that charecter in Spider Man Three. That said the story was choppy at best and focused on scenes that were just not that great. The entire plot with the Life Foundation should have been secondary to Eddie Brocks experience of being infected with the symbiot and his interaction with it. The Life Foundation should have been the subplot...not the main basis of this movie and it's almost like someone involved in the film knew that but didn't quite win the argument...so there was an unevenness between the story about the Life Foundation with a bunch of unneccesary forgettable scenes...and the scenes that were done right involving the interaction between Venom and Eddie. The acting from all of the actors was very wooden when they were interacting with each other (the only scenes that were not were those between Eddie and Venom)...which means the director sucked. When all of the actors have the same delivery that always indicates a really horrible director that's just going through the motions. The charecter of Eddie Brock, as my husband pointed out, seemed to just act more and more intoxicated as the movie went on without explaination. He was always sweating profusely...even when he had a fever...and looked sick. Even after he and Venom and come to an agreement to work togehter. Plus, if they had waited until the final battle agains Venom and Riot to reveal that Venom could heal Eddie there would have been more emotional impact. Missed opportunities such as that is what really held this story back. The love story between Eddie Brock and his ex-girlfriend also made no sense. I couldn't tell if she had feelings for him or not most of the time. That actress was just really horrible at portraying emotions...but that was probably the directors fault...because from the villian to the the liquor store proprieter barely any emotion was portrayed. Tom Hardy was perfect when he was interacting with Venom. That any aspect of his acting shone indicates that despite a crappy director he still has acting chops. He's not the best...he kind of plays himself I'm guessing...but a good director would use that to benefit the story. That's also why when Venom said Eddie had changed him...it felt false. There was no good reason why or how Eddie had changed Venom. You could argue it was the fact that Venom was within Eddie's mind and that he saw that Eddie was fighting for the common good and had made a difference. That was hinted at but not demonstrated....how could Eddie be a loser and, yet, on some level be such a role model to change an evil alien life form? Collective Conscious Interpertation This movie shared something in common with Deadpool 2 and Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom....there really didn't need to be a main villian in the movie. The Life Foundation and it's crazy CEO should have been a vehicle only to explain why and how Venom got here...the rest should have focused on Eddie's interaction and the eventual peace he foremd with Venom. Super Hero films are getting to the point where an evil villian isn't needed to oppose the hero to make it interesting. That was one of those things that the cheesy formula super hero story emphasised. Instead, we are starting to see these movies evolve to where they can explore more psychological concepts. The genre is perfect for this exploration because it's just enough of an escape because the fantasy elements can provide a platform for just enough depth that these subjects can be broached in a fun environment that more of the population can appreciate. I think this transition from the formula of yesterday to the new platform that super hero movies provide today are to blame for why these two films feel so choppy. New ideas, especially when not fully formed usually end up wobbly if they are not completely conceived. Venom, in particular, can provide a wonderful environment to expore the ego and the infulence of the ego. The ego is a lot like a parasite (just read A Course In Miracles and it becomes obvious). When we make peace with our Shadow (where the Ego resides) we can find peace in ourselves but it takes some work. Venom makes the perfect platform to explore this concept. As a Collective Consciousness we have looked into the mirror and realized that the villian is not outside of us...but a part of us. These films mark the start of that transition from dualistic thinking to unity...and it can't happen on a mass level soon enough. The idea that there is an outer force out there that wishes to destroy us...that fear is weaning big time. That dualistic notion and desire is what fueld the invention of nuclear weapons and the world wars. Conclusion When we walked out of the theater my husband admitted there were parts that were entertaining but over all it was Meh. At one point the entire theater erupted into laughter. That's when I thought the movie would realy take off but they kept to the lame Life Foundation storyline. When the scientist who told Eddie Brock about the human experiments and let him in died...I didn't care and it was predictable. For fans of the comic book and this charecter in particular who wanted violence and gore...the PG13 rating did hold it back. However, I'm hopeful that if this version makes enough money the sequel might redeem itself (with a different director and writer)...especially if reviewers make it clear that this movie would have been a whopping success if it was rated R. The time when an outer villian was needed to oppose the super hero is over. The time when super heros movies were made only for kids is over. In fact, the time for villians in all genre's including action movies has passed. They are just too cliche...mankind has reached the maturity level where there doesn't have to be a 'bad guy' for a 'good guy' to exist. Duality is fading at long last...it's giving one heck of a death rattle to humanity in the form of politics in the United States...but it's on the way out. This years movies really indicate that and...while it leads to confused movies...it's a huge sign for hope. We are a society in major transition. This concept of duality...that for there to be light there must be darkness...the concept that a hero only exists if there is a villian...is at an end. For that reason I love this movie. I see so much more potential for the charecters of Eddie Brock and Venom in the future. I hope it comes to fruition. Netzach is the fourth Ascending Sephiroth on the Kabbalah Tree of Life.
The Hebrew letters that make up the name of this Sephiroth are Nun, Tizaddi (the fourth letter associated with the Path of the Seeker) and Cheth. Let's take a look at these letters and see how they connect with this fascinating Sephiroth. Nun Is one of the five double letters of the Hebrew Alphabet. This numerical value is 50. The Hebrew letter Nun starts the Aramaic word for Fish that symbolizes faith because it's faith that brings abundance into our lives. Nun also begins the word for prophecy (navooah) and prophet (Navi). Hoffman connects the prophet with the Path of the Seeker by quoting Rabbi Moses Luzzato, "A prophet does not attain the highest level all at once...on must advance step by step until he master them thoroughly." Abravanel explains that prophecy is the result of overcoming initiation tests because prophecy is the ultimate level of spiritual awareness. She explains that the word for prophecy can be split into two- Nun and ba meaning, "Nun comes," bringing the 50 gates of understanding." This letter also opens and closes the Hebrew word for Tune or Melody. Music, Hoffman explains, has the ability to elevate us to prophetic inspiration. Paradoxically Nun also starts the Hebrew word for "fall" Nefilan. Daniela Abravanel connects this to the concept of tests on the Path of the Seeker. "Tests sent to us force us to look in the deepest places of our subconscious in order to find the power to transcend our limitations and over come the unconscious destructive drives....Descents become an opportunity to lift ourselves and attain a level that is higher than we previously achieved." Abravanel also says that this Hebrew letter is associated with the zodiac sign of Scorpio which represents physical, psychological and spiritual death and rebirth...or even successive existential crises. The Hebrew Month Mercheshavan is associated with Scorpio and literally means "bitter reckoning." The bible prior to the Hebrew exile to Babylon referred to this month as Bul. Nun also represents the Hebrew word for trial (Nisayaon). Abravanel quotes Proverbs 3:12, "For the Lord reprove whim whom he loves." She explains sthat God reserves trials for those he loves. Tizaddi If you have been following my Youtube videos you'll recognize this letter. I just covered this letter four days ago because it is the 4th Hebrew letter associated with the Path of the Seeker. This letter starts the words for Righteous (tzadic) and Justice (Tzedek). Tizaddi also starts the words for charity (Tzadakah) and for the process of creation known as Tzimzum. Paul Foster Case associates Tizaddi and righteousness with Meditation. A righteous person strives to make the right the decisions in all situations. We learned there are three attributes of a righteous person...Meditation, Right Intention (especially with food) and charity. Cheth This Hebrew letter is dramatically attached to the concept of health. First, it begins the Hebrew letter for life (chai) and also begins the Hebrew word for vitality (Chayat). Cheth also starts the Hebrew word for Dream (chalom) which Hoffman explains to represent divine inspiration and knowledge. Cheth also starts the word for Wisdom, Chockma (also the name of the second Sephiroth that sits at the top of the Pillar of Mercy). At the same time, Cheth begins the word for sickness (choli), profane or empty (chol) and the first letter for Sin (chet) which really means, "missing the mark." Illness, Abravanel explains, arises when we lose contact with our body's vital forces. This occurs when we are unable to fill our life with meaning...by aiming at the wrong target." This is why cures must come from a place deep within the soul, Arbavanel states, and I must concur. Doctors know that we have to have a good attitude in order to heal properly. Abravanel also explains that Cheth is associated with the Zodiac sign of Cancer. This connects it with motherhood. She explains that the unique bond a mother has with her child can either create a child with a wounded ego or a healthy child. Summary Summing up the combination of these three Hebrew Letters into one sentence: The Fall and trials (Nun) make for a meditative (Tizaddi) dream of a life of vitality or sickness (Cheth). Image Interpertation The letter Nun looks like a slightly bent candle with a single flame. Then Tizaddi looks like a figure that has bent backwards with a second flame springing forth from a constriction. Cheth looks like a doorway. Conclusion I find it amazing how this Sephiroth ties in so closely with the 4th Tarot Card Key on the Path of the Seeker. We can glimpse here not only how the Fall was created or allowed by the One Creator but also why. So many think of the 'fall' from Grace as a horrible thing and punishment from God. The truth is that that is the farthest thing from the case. The Creator made room for us to become individualized so that we can help him Create. This solves the paradox of the whole, "Greater than the Angels," statement found in Hebrews 1: 4-14 in the bible. In physical form we are not capable of being 'greater than the Angels' but the process of individualization followed by submitting to the One Creators will of our own choice...is what makes us 'greater then the Angels' who have a hive mind with the one Creator and no will or desire of their own. As Edgar Cacye said...we are to be companions with the One Creator. There was no chance in the Fall of Adam...it was by design because the One Creator doesn't make mistakes...but we have been given plenty of room to make our mistakes so that we get all of that out of our system. Then we can help by contributing our own ideas to the different designs of Creation. I love this book!
Recommended by my dear friend Francesca Simon I was amazed when she shared with us some of the information in her Sunday program Simply put, go out and buy this book now. If you want a beautifully illustrated book covering the Hebrew letters this is the one to buy. While each entry for the letters is two pages long they are very deep. The images that I provide for my YouTube sound meditations on the Hebrew letters of the Path of the Seeker are from this book. This book is a fantastic meditation aid. Right now you can only buy it used because it is out of print but there are many copies available on Amazon. I highly recommend that you buy The Hebrew Alphabet: A Mystic Journey by Edward Hoffman as a meditation aid. Sitting and focusing on these letters is very calming and insightful! You will find a ton of quotes from this book on my YouTube channel videos on the 7 Hebrew Letters on the Path of the Seeker and my Meditations on the Hebrew Letters of the different Sephiroth on the Trees of Life. Hebrew is a fascinating language because, since each letter has a purpose and a deeper meaning, it has a deeper aspect. I've already pointed out that it is the Hebrew of the Torah that allows for Michael Drosden's Bible Code. While many see this as proof of the Christian God being omniscient I see it as more of how the basic pattern of the cosmos that we inhabit is based on a consistent pattern. That pattern of course, is based on the Kabbalah tree of Life which is reflected by the Hebrew Alphabet. Here is a quote from the Introduction of this Book: "The Hebrew alphabet's origins lie shrouded in the mists of antiquity. Today scholars believe that a version known as North Semitic arose among northwest Palestine and Syria's inhabitants more then 3,500 years ago, and established permanently the phonetic sound, numerical value, and order of what initially became Early Hebrew. Already used in the time of King Solomon, this was the original script of the Bible."
Ah, the Hebrew letter that literally looks like the depiction of the back of the head.
I didn't write an in depth blog on this subject before Michelle was born so I'll share a few thoughts as I feed her with one hand and I type with the other, so please forgive any typos! I love this Hebrew letter because it represents so much and I love paradoxes since on the Path of The Seeker I have gained a perspective that solves many of the intellectual gordian knots that philosophers have debated for so long. We share the mendula oblongata with reptiles and it forms the part of our brain that controls our basic instincts. This part often lies unrecognized in our subconscious and can be represented as a snake or dragon. This cave contains all of our fears. This makes me think of the Netflix Marvel series Iron Fist. When asked about the dragon he faced he said thatit wasn't whathe expected. As a result of facing the dragon he could direct is life force (Qi) into his fist...much like Iron Fist when we clear out the blocks caused by fear in the Mendula Oblongota we free up a lot of Qi and our dormant pineal gland is opened. The pineal gland secretes Seotonin which leeps us in rhythem with mother nature- primarily effecting our circadian rhythem and sleep. The underworld, based on my research, is the Earth Mother becuse this is where the concept of death exists (not in Spirit). The underworld is often depicted as watery because Earth is primarily water. Water represents the subconscioussymbolically which aligns with the often little understood and unacknowledged animal needs that drive all of us. Our job to develop our spiritual maturity is to balance this animal nature or master it if you wish to put it that way (think of the dog and wolf of the Moon Tarot Card Key)....and balance it withour spiritual (fire( nature...That in a nutshell is the sacred marriage...whichis an entirely different subject.
I just realized I failed to make the pst last weekend. Weebly was down when I uploaded this video to YouTube last weekend. My kufe has been very chaotic with the kitchen remodel and Micheele who will officially be two months
The fourth Hebrew letter on the Path of the Seeker.
As you listen to the Temple Sounds meditation focus on the Hebrew Letter glyph. When the sound meditation is over write down any thoughts, feelings or impressions that you had about the letter no matter how odd in your journal. I bought this book mostly because of a dream.
I was mostly interested in the three types of gunas Rajas, Tamas and Sattva. The Bhagavadgita is required to read this book. In many ways the style of the Samkhya Karika follows in the fashion of the style of the Bhgavadgita with statements and the objections with reactions. The entire conversation is about the Path of the Seeker. The book is only 130. The bag of the book describes it simply as, "Sankhya means knoweldge of Self through right discrimination." There are 25 markers that I put in this book. I can't really share the quotes I tagged because they are so involved in the discussion I'd have to include most of the book sto put them here. I highly recommend this book because it does cover so much of the Seekers Path succinctly. There are some parts that would confuse people because it is addressing common practices of a non-western culture. Here is the one quote that isn't as confusing as the rest but is very deep: "By the very attainment of direct knowledge of the Tattva, the power of productivity of the entire stock of subliminal impressions of deeds, though beginningless and the time of its fruition is uncertain, gets destroyed like a burnt up sees, and no more produces any fruit in the form of experiences of rebirth, life, etc. It is only when the field of Buddhi is watered with the waters of Klesa (Klesa the five fold, ignorance, egotism, attachment, aversion, and clinging to life) that the sees of karma germinate. Where is the possibility of the seeds germinating in a field rendered barren owning to its water of ignorance and the rest being sucked away by the heart produced by the Knowledge of the Truth? In this connection it is said: "Dispositions such as virtue and the rest lose their casual efficacy to produce effects ie they cease to be causes. Even so, the body lasts for a while after the attainment of the knowledge of Truth on account of the previous impulses just like the potters wheel continuing to rotate for a while even though the potter has ceased from action, owing to the momentum of past impulses of the action..." pg 126 Although the book is short it is not the easiest reading and the reader should stop to meditate on the different sections throughout. There is a lot of information and wisdom packed into this little book. |
